Appt was at 3 pm, my name was called at 3 pm. Never happened before in 42 years of seeing Dr.'s. Very please with his and his staff's medical smarts. :) Follow-up 8/30/2016. Staff very professional as usual. All the things that were a concern are improving (blood pressure, etc.). Worth an extra bit of driving.

So, half hour into waiting in the room a staff member tells me she's almost done and will be right in. A half hour later I'm tired of waiting and tell them I'm leaving. A Black woman in active…read morelabor came to this hospital for help exactly what any human being should be able to rely on a hospital for, only to be turned away by a doctor and a nurse who insisted she "wasn't far enough along" to be admitted. Eight minutes later, she delivered her baby in a car on the side of the road. There is no interpretation of the Hippocratic Oath, or even basic human decency, that justifies refusing care to a woman who is clearly in labor. Since the repeal of Roe v. Wade, hospitals claim their priority is protecting life at all stages, yet in this red state, this incident proves the opposite. These medical professionals put both the mother and the newborn in immediate danger through sheer negligence and indifference. This is not a misunderstanding. This is a complete betrayal of the standards and ethics the public expects from healthcare providers. Any hospital that allows this level of malpractice and disregard to happen should be held fully accountable, and the individuals responsible should never be allowed to treat patients again. Both Doctor and the nurse involved deserve prison. Franciscan Health Crown Point showed that they cannot be trusted with the safety of women, Black patients, or newborns. Their actions were reckless, discriminatory, and potentially fatal. Absolutely shameful.

My immobile husband was sent to the ER for severe headaches from his nursing home. The doctor came back with a 5 minute summary which anyone on the street could have determined and sent him on his way. I guess I should be grateful after laying in his own waste for hours, they did come and remove the soiled items before they sent him back.

She even took it out to go to the bathroom and walked it back in and it went over to my 87 year old mother and started sniffing her feet. When I told her to get her dog away from my mother she said I didn't need to be rude, who was rude? When I complained to the office personnel that were making all over the dog, they said they could not do anything about it in case it was a comfort dog, I said you should ask if she had certification. When I said that they turned a deaf ear. I intend to repot this.
