Wing special
Devann C.

Went to this place on a Wednesday evening around 6. There weren't many people inside and the atmosphere is still the same if you remember the old Ruby Tuesday that was once there. It seemed as if they only had one server working at the time but she was nice and patient. I ordered a margarita which took a good minute to arrive but it was good. I will say the service was kind of slow but I can't complain since there was only one server (from what I could see). The food was very flavorful and hot when it arrived to the table. I was surprised at how big the shrimp were but the wings were somewhat small. Overall this was an okay experience, it would be a great place for early-day dining instead of dinner.

Don't let the outside of this place fool you. This former Ruby Tuesday is an excellent new restaurant! On our first night in Tuscaloosa, we were looking for a good meal away from the crowds by the school. This restaurant in Cottondale was a short drive with quality food. I started off with the 20/59 cocktail and while I don't recall all the ingredients, I will say it was it was a great drink in this hot weather. We ordered appetizers of Fried Pickles and the Hot Spinach Dip. The pickles were made better than I've had anywhere else. The chips that came with the dip were also very tasty. The appetizers were so filling, I had a Caesar salad for my meal...also delicious with a side of Mac n cheese! My one regret is that I didn't have room for Ms. Cynthia's Peach Cobbler. I'll be back though, and I'll get it next time. Special shout out to our server, Dale. He couldn't have been more helpful and friendly!

Food is superior!!! Service was excellent!! Ambiance was as expected with a bonus of soothing easy listening music! ( Stevie wonder, Gladys knight and the pipes, etc) DEFINITELY going back!!!!!

Everything from the cocktails, appetizers and entrees were amazing! Very cost friendly for the quality and quantity of the food. We will definitely be back!! The owner, Melvin here is always checking in his customers. the staff is very accommodating. I recommended the steak and also the peach cobbler. This place is a terrific new addition to the local dining options. The cocktails are great; and the atmosphere is amazing. You will not be disappointed with anything on the menu.

We went today (Sat. 5/3) They opened at 4pm and there was a line starting well before then. If that's the situation when you go don't let that deter you. It's worth the wait! Our party of 6 was seated fairly quickly. The food was really good. The spinach dip and the shrimp appetizer were my favorite items. When the food came the table got so quiet! lol!! I had the Caesar add salmon - cooked to perfection. Our server, Tay, was wonderful. He was BUSY working 3 larger parties but he was attentive and polite - worked very well under pressure. The only 'meh' thing I noticed was that there was a party celebrating a birthday. There wasn't seating availability for them all to sit together. I don't know if they take reservations, so that's something to consider for an occasion like that.

From the service to the food everything was great. Ribeye was seasoned well and cooked correctly as ordered.Squash casserole and grilled asparagus were great as well. Bacon wrapped fried shrimp as an appetizer and The peach cobbler as dessert Definitely one of the best kept secrets around Tuscaloosa!!

Pork tenderloin and smoked chicken

I read the reviews and we decided to try this restaurant based on those reviews and this place did not disappoint. We got there early and had happy hour drinks that were fabulous! We also ordered the spinach dip which was great however could have been a little warmer. My friend had the pork tenderloin with squash and asparagus. I had smoked chicken with asparagus and baked potatoes. Both meals were amazing!! And our server was absolutely wonderful and sadly I can't remember her name however I can say Roll Tide! We will be back next time we come this way. HIGHLY recommend!

It was a kool spot. They need more kid friendly options.Highly recommended the blackberry lemonade buttt the staff was kool the only thing I would say is the ambience needs work it has real potential and hopefully they expand further in the future. But I will give it 4 stars.

10/10 highly recommend! Every single dish we tried was fabulous. That squash casserole is the best I've ever had. The shrimp are higher and hand breaded. The Cajun chicken was recommended by the waitress and it was incredible!

Great drinks!

We were able to park easily and make our way into the restaurant with ease. There is ample outside and inside seating, however, know that the TVs are going to be on full blast, especially during football games! We ordered a chicken shawarma gyro with a side of roasted vegetablesThe Gyro (beef-lamb) with Mediterranean fries. My husband enjoyed The Gyro and would get it again. My chicken shawarma was just meh because it lacked any real seasoning/spice. The ingredients are quality but the flavor was not there for me. I enjoyed the roasted veggies which were interestingly well seasoned. Service was friendly and prompt. The ambience is college town vibes (7 tvs each blaringly loud). Decor was nice with plenty of windows with natural light, wood tables and comfortable chairs (no arms on any of them) and bar stools. 1 star deduction for lack of flavor in sandwich 1 star deduction for WAY too loud TVs (excessive) exacerbated by Kitchen sounds

The atmosphere is cute - the menu is limited (1 burger, 3 sandwiches, 2 or 3 flatbreads and 2 salads). We ordered: 1 - the double cheeseburger, boring. Lots of meet but not much in the way of toppings. The pickle slice was nice. 2 - BLT, boring. Needs a sauce, even mayo. Would love to see palmetto cheese or avocado or cheddar. Spring mix is the wrong choice in lettuce as well. It turns into mush with the tomato. Nothing memorable. 3 - The Yardhouse, awkward. It was hard to eat with large chicken "cubes" and lots of white bbq sauce. Either keeping the chicken whole or using a shredded chicken would be better. 4 - Fries. 1 order would have been plenty to share among 3 people. They were the best part of the meal and came with a fry sauce. Another strike is that they don't brew their own tea. We're in the Deep South... some days the best thing we've got is fresh brewed tea at every turn. This was a nope... but on top of that the carbonation was "off" in the soda machine too. Good thing drinks are only $2.

The bread was great and crispy, but the rest of the sandwich was uninspired. You couldn't even taste the pimento cheese. The fries were okay but needed more salt. With so much competition in town, I was hoping there would be more levels of flavor. The restaurant is very clean, which is always a plus for me. I've heard good things about the salads. Maybe go for one of those.
