As well she incorporates as much organic ingredient as she can. All her sauces are home made. I have some health issues and ran her meal options by my dietician, who gave it a thumbs up. In fact, more than a thumbs up as the dietician has added this company to her list of recommended food delivery services for her patients, which shows the quality of the food. I used to use a couple other frozen food delivery services but found that their portions weren't quite enough for a family of four, whereas the Real Meal portions (the larges) are really good for a family of 4. So far I have placed about 15 different orders each of 4 various family meals, so that's a total of about 60 meals I've had thanks to Real Meals. Great prices, great quality and nice people to deal with.

We have made three orders so far for busy work weeks. The Shepard's pie is my favourite. The soups are hearty and great portions. We are happy with the quality of food, the delivery service and the ease at which we can order online. Finally, a food delivery service that doesn't get boring after one week. I always hear about meal prep plans and even though I love cooking, I run out of ideas. So, I am glad I got to try local and healthy lunches that kept me away from the afternoon food coma feeling! I dug into their website just a bit more and found out that they pack and delivery food from local Vancouver eateries that serve plant-based foods. Conveniently and food safe stored in refrigerator bags with massive ice packs, I was able to receive my delivery at my office. I had 4 lunches for the week and my concern was freshness. However, when I ate the last packed meal, I was extremely surprised at how the vegetables stayed fresh, crunchy and without any visible discolouration/oxidation. Also, I noticed that the flavours of each meal were strong and obvious. I didn't miss my meat at all. From coconut sauce to Korean cauliflower "wings", I kept marveling at my food (trust me, even my co-workers who bought lunch kept saying it smelled good). I actually microwaved all the bowls and I think it tasted a lot better that way. I ordered The Workshop Vegetarian Cafe's Genki Bento Box and Chunky Smoked Tofu Salad, The Rolling Cashew's Taco Rice Bowl , The Juice Truck's 'Almost' Poke Bowl. I have to say, I was impressed by the presentation of my food. The Genki Bento box had a beautiful Kabocha Squash that looked like a pumpkin. It tasted healthy and it was packed with quinoa, kale, burdock root, and housemade vegan probiotic kimchi. I was satisfied with the flavours and spice. The Chunky Smoked Tofu Salad had a strong smokey flavour even though it sat in the fridge for 4 days. The stars of the dish were the quinoa, organic and the non-gmo smoked tofu, and kale. The chickpea miso gray was mind blowing too! My absolute favourite was the Taco Rice Bowl. My first impression was that it didn't look appetizing but boy was I wrong! There was Cauliflower 'wings', Korean style Beefless Ground and Mapo Tofu. I absolutely LOVED the mushroom walnut patê spread. Safe to say, I would order this bowl again!! Everyone needs to try. The 'Almost' Poke Bowl fooled me when I opened the lid because the sesame marinated vegan ahimi aka dried tomatoes smelled like heavenly sesame oil and looked like tuna. I think this bowl was perfect if you are worried you will feel hungry because it was packed in a larger bowl and I even had trouble finishing it due to the fiber. Overall, I highly recommend Gomae Meal Prep because it saved me time and I definitely saw an improvement in my afternoon energy level. My favourite Gomae vendor is definitely Juice Truck's salalds they they offer every week - the Almost Poke Bowl and the Jackfruit Taco Bowl are truly amazing. But above that, the service is absolutely amazing. There was one time they accidentally delivered one wrong meal to me and as soon as I let them know; they responded within minutes and offered to come by and swap the meal out and offered me a free meal the following week. I feel like Gomae is a company that truly cares about their customers - I just can't say enough positive things about them! I am someone who has always said over the past few years that I would NEVER do a meal delivery service but Gomae has totally changed my perspective. After a month of Fuud deliveries, I can say the experience has been positive overall. The ingredients for the recipes come in separate kits, but you have to do your own chopping. We have really enjoyed all but one of the meals we received, and the recipes feel very well thought out. It has definitely made dinner time more exciting (chicken cacciatore, madras lamb, banh mi bowls - yum!), and gotten us out of our repetitive dinner rut. The portions are very large - we have the couples plan but one dinner usually works out to be dinner and then lunch for two again the next day. So even though it's probably the priciest meal delivery service on the market, we feel like we're saving money by not having to buy stuff for lunches anymore. There has been the occasional hiccup with the online ordering system, but it has always been resolved quickly. My only real complaint is that we've found the timing to be way off for some of the recipes (i.e., prep is often quoted as taking 5 minutes but there's so many things to chop that it's more like 15, or the recipe will say to cook for a minimum of 30 minutes but preferably longer so it's actually more like 45).

It is quite delicious with the pounded yam. It is something that is out of the ordinary, and I recommend. Service can be a bit slow so be prepared for a minimum 1.5-2 hour experience. Music is terribly loud so it is almost impossible to hold a conversation. I had to ask the server to repeat things a few times since there is otherwise no way to hear, and they never turned the volume down.

The flavors are authentic! I love palabok and theirs satisfied my cravings! The palabok also included calamansi, the real deal, and enhanced the flavors (think Ratatouille, when the food critic was amazed)! Although the delivery was a few minutes late, their driver got a bit lost, they communicated that with me via email and it was worth the wait! I can't recommend this place enough!
