If I could give negative zero stars I would but was not an option. I am not one to write negative feedback unless it was a disgusting and disrespectful experience. I went to $2.99 cleaners known as 2 50 cleaners on the Internet at 16 N Main Street in New City, 845-638-0346 (shopping center where Dunkin Donuts and Boston Market) to pick up 5 shirts that I forgot I even had in the cleaners because to be honest it was right before I lost my Grandfather and wasn't thinking about anything but the loss of my Grandfather. Fast forward five months later, on New Years Eve when I was looking in my closet for my pink blouse that I wanted to wear for dinner with both my daughter and husband is when I finally remembered that I had clothes I didn't pick up from the cleaners. I went today to pick attempt to pick up my clothes and one of the workers there told me it was picked up on December 13th. I said "impossible, I am here today to pick them up". I asked to speak to the owner, which was a woman who was extremely rude telling me I didn't pick up my clothes in time so she sent them to a warehouse in New Jersey.
I politely apologized for not picking up my clothes sooner and then asked why I didn't receive a courtesy call to remind me that I had clothes in the cleaners that needs to be picked up or will be removed from the store by a certain date.
She yelled at me "it's not my problem, we call people three times and then get rid of clothes! I replied "excuse me, I never received any call because if I did, I would have thanked you for reminding me and I would have picked up my clothes" She said "I want my money and didn't get money so I sent out to warehouse" I asked for the number to the warehouse, she ignored me. After insisting three more times that I want the number to this warehouse where my clothes are, she yelled with "I don't know where warehouse is, not my problem!" I said "this is very unacceptable, I will make a police report and write on every Rockland FB group, Google and Yelp review.... Letting everyone know that your business, your store, your establishment are dishonest, rude and crooks" she said "call who you want, I don't care!" As she ripped my receipt and threw it away.
My $18 cleaners bill was sent to some warehouse (yeah okay) which was clothing valued at over $500.
They charge $2.99 men's shirts $4 woman's shirts which yes is a deal but not in this situation.
Grant it, it was 5 months that I did not remember to pick up my items but as a respectable business and owner, give the customer a courtesy call and charge me double.
So when I see her family members walking around in my husbands and my shirts, I will be sure to compliment them.
