Poor quality ink caused my tattoo itch but the artist lack professional to flee their own shop flee the business owner and flee the state and city thyre in too avoid refund mind the fuck out of these studios and their lack of attention to a recalled list of inks due to bacteria and that is valid. Went to 1up ink yesterday for a rib cage quote in recognition to my mom and grandma. First time at any 1up location and wanna S/o Peezy for bringing my idea to reality. Environment was smooth, yap session blocked out the pain, and being from Long Beach and out of town for work I can confidently say I'll be back here for more as well as the LA location. Don't know why the shop only has 3 stars. Any real anime fan would appreciate how it looks and the work that comes from the artist in there. I remember coming across the page in Virginia while in the navy and I told myself once I moved back to Texas I'd give em a shot. Didn't disappoint. My artist was @niquoink. I setup an appointment with him. He was on time waiting for me to arrive. Very professional and was not heavy handed. I wanted to get one of my favorite anime characters niquo brought my vision to light. I'll be going back this spring for sure. read more

I went to 1up back in late 2023 to get inked by Troy. Super cool brother. He was running a promotion for a Miles Morales tattoo at the time and I just had to have one. I ended up allowing me to use he special for a cover up of a tattoo that I been needing to have reworked. I have followed pnut for a while on insta and decided to reach out for a tattoo, and I'm very glad I did! I had the best experience here and don't want to go anywhere else anymore. The whole shop is like a happy family full of jokes and good energy. The time I spent here (which was a lot shorter than I expected) was great. Very unprofessional. I emailed about an inquiry and they ended up texting me. After asking my price range about a tattoo I wanted, I quoted them the price that I normally pay back home BUT I also added "what's your quote?" Meaning they obviously didn't have to price match since I'm well aware that artist charge different. It's so rude and unprofessional to completely stop responding to a customer just because you ASSUMED they wouldn't pay higher than what their use too. It's good I got a glimpse of their work ethics early because gods know how terrible the experience would've been actually getting some work done. But I am also saying I do not not agree with the other reviews.... *sips tea* These stars are specifically for 'Sneak'. despite the fact that he was late.. he did a really great job on my boyfriend's first tattoo. We found sneak on IG was instantly wow'd away by him work. He took his time, he was friendly, clean, fairly priced & knowledgeable. The shop is small, decorated nicely, and clean. Do not expect the other artist there to be helpful or friendly. (They all have pretty dope work, so book at your own risk) But I do highly recommend Sneak. read more

Came in there for their walk-in sale they were having on there Instagram they stated palm size tattoo for $100 they didn't specify that it had to be anima. Okay verify if they could do a certain tattoo they stated it would be out of the sale category and the price would change. Was totally fine paying whatever the stated the price would be. Waited for almost 3-4 hours for them to say they couldn't do it and I guess the owner said he would do it and when he was finishing up a customer stated he had an appointment. Mind you he didn't even tell us he just said it out loud for us to hear. I understand of it's only a certain type of work you do but don't say you would it then turn around and totally ignore us. Seem very racial because there were other pieces being don't that weren't anima either States all skin type in ig bio, it should actually feel like that. Extremely unprofessional. Was tattooed by Krystal. She had to smoke a blunt before she started my tattoo which made me nervous and I knew then I should have left. I wonder why she felt comfortable enough to tell me she was going out to smoke weed? After she was finished smoking, she came back but I was then left sitting on her tattoo bed for about 30 min before she showed back up to start. She gave me the worst tattoo I've ever seen and refused to fix it the way I asked her to. Not only was it a bad tattoo, the area was abnormally swollen! Luckily I found a professional tattoo artist who was able to turn my once horrible tattoo into a beautiful piece of art! Don't let her instagram page fool you. This is a dirty place. Pnut is very unprofessional and lacks communication. He added stuff I didn't want and didn't finish things I did. Then he was on a phone call for 4 hours while tattooing me, because of that he cover a part of another tattoo I have on my arm just cause he wasn't paying attention. My experience with one of the tattoo artist, shyne, was unprofessional and no communication. During a consult things weren't discuss that was later told basically it's how their policy would be and things were non refundable. Nothing was ever said of that, nor was there a sign or something to sign about it. Then a month passed before I was supposed to come and they forgot to show the drawing of what was going to be done. They said they were busy all that month. Then they put something together last minute. Nothing like what I asked for and gave examples, basically was told I need change entire tattoo and do their way or not at all. They even said they couldn't draw up or use drawing I gave of what i want. Canceled on me and said I couldn't get my deposit back. By end of it I only got part of my deposit back. Tired going back and forward. Lesson learned and will not refer anyone. Although believe other artist in shop have great work. That mis-communication and no communication and poor customer service will turn me away. read more

Told me to come back a few days later to finish because he wasn't feeling well and ended up ghosting me for a month. The receptionist said they would find another artist to finish for free and ended trying to double charge me . Now I have incomplete piece on my forearm . They ghetto and unprofessional. I've never gotten a tattoo before and wanted to get a small anime inspired one for my first time to see how it is. I found this place online and drove an hour from where I live in Fort Worth. I showed up and was told I could be taken as a walk in. I was hoping they possibly had a book of some designs but there wasn't one and the lady there was extremely unhelpful with how the process worked. I'm assuming her name was Krystal based on the other Yelp review. She was actually straight out rude when I told her I'd never gotten a tattoo before and started asking questions about price and pain. After I'd been sitting there for a couple of hours and another artist walked in, the Krystal proceeded to go over and talk sh*t about my friend and I and to tell the other lady to just make us sit there. She then started rolling a blunt while working on the other customer which can't be sanitary, and she proceeded to go outside to smoke weed with him, which is when I decided to leave.
