My renter alerted me to the possibility of a bird in the chimney. I called at 10AM on a Tuesday, and Josh was at the home same day. He extracted an adult mourning dove from the chimney. It was overheated, not moving, and likely dehydrated. My renters mentioned hearing it in the chimney for at least two days!! Josh cooled it down with water, and stayed with it until it was moving around on it's own. He moved it to a shady area, and about 15-minutes later, I watched the bird fly up into a tree. We had a baby owl find its way into our chimney.
