I took my cat there for an emergency for throwing up blood and they were amazing and honest but then I had a stray cat and this vet gave me a heating pad, and food and formula , a Blakey and toys completely free for taking the cat in as a stray that was found on the street from another client. I brought my cat here and they were so great. I immediately was put in a private room so she could wonder and explore without being scared of other animals. Most vets I've been too seem like all they care about is money, here they explained everything to me and gave me options and showed me prices without pressuring me in to something. When I talked to them about what I thought was the best plan they agreed and didn't try to talk me into going to the more expensive route. They are an absolute joke, and robbers, went in because my dog had a severe cut across his chest down to his arm pit and they originally quoted me 2000 as a worst case. I tried to ask them what they warranted as far as treatment and the doctor was nothing but shaky in her response so I became aggravated. They again called me back 5 minutes later and raised my original quote by 1000 dollars. After I started to Question the raise in price they told me I need to pick up my dog and take him somewhere else because they won't work on him now because I was stressed about the money. When I got there to pick him up they had informed me that they never gave him a pain shot and that I needed to pay a fee for exam even though they had already told me they weren't able to do an exam. Long story short the doctor wouldnt even come out to see me. They are a joke and if you need a good place to go to AVECCC on 7823 W Golden Ln in Peoria they were very friendly and helping and actually did the whole thing for 1200$ he needed 14 stitches and a wound cleaning and somehow at this place was 3k so take my word for it they are robbers and don't care about your dog. read more

I recently moved to Phoenix from Chicago. I was starting to think about looking for a vet I could trust. Then, fate forced me to. My dog had broke a nail on a Friday night and I needed some emergency vet services. 1st pet had superb customer service. They treated my dog very nicely and had patience with her as she is very difficult at the vet, they gave me updates, they showed empathy. They didn't just treat me like another customer, they actually cared. Just when I was going to call them a few days later to schedule a time to get my dog's bandage off, they gave me a follow up call see how she was doing. Something that only takes 2 minutes on their part but made an enormous impact on me. I went back today, they took off her bandage, treated me like they treated me before they they had my money which is another sign of a good business. Had no idea there was a all night pet hospital. My beloved pet showed signs of something wrong two days before. Thinking it was a constipation problem I found out I was wrong when he couldn't get out of his kennel at 3am the next morning. Called my vet who gave their number for emergencies. They answered my call right away letting me know they were there! Long story short, they took him in and did all the right things, even calling me to see if he was alright. This is the best place to take your furry family member. Whether they need their yearly shots or something more serious. I very recently had to take my little girl to them for a serious dog bite incident. The entire staff was amazing. They took very good care of her. They never left her side. She was in serious condition and I had to put her down. The entire staff was compassionate and caring. Everytime I bring any of my dogs in, they are great. They treat me and my dogs like family. 1st pet is amazing. I brought my 4 year old pitbull in around 1am with a swollen nose. She is very dog aggressive and I was SO NERVOUS that they would get a bad impression and treat her poorly. This was NOT the case. My husband went in and explained the situation. The receptionist told us there are no other dogs present. We headed straight into a room, and a tech came in within minutes. She was so caring, and was so sweet my girl. They recommended blood work, needle aspirate, and possible medication. We agreed to all of it because she's our baby. The veterinarian was amazing. He gave it to us straight, and I appreciate that so much. I have zero complaints. I'm switching to this hospital for my girl, Hades, and all of her vet needs. I've have my cats helped multiple times and they're are really careful and caring about all issues this far. I understand that every patient have different situations and this place were my other cats got cremated due to health issues but they have paw prints and death certificates for them just like any humans. Another disappointment with this vet office off on North 7th Ave. We were scammed into signing up for a puppy plan for our 8 week puppy. They charge our account automatically $65.00 every month for one year. The selling point at the time our puppy was 8 weeks was unlimited free nail clippings. When our puppy started to grow, each appointment was harder to clip her nails. My husband and I held her while the tech would cut. Our dog is not a biter, she just moves her feet causing it difficult to cut her black nails. We were happy to wait the month she was spayed for them to clip her while she was put asleep. When we got her home from surgery, they forgot to do her nails. Then COVID hit and they refused to see my dog for a nail clipping, but they did see my friend's dog for JUST a nail clip that same day we were told they refuse to see our dog. So we took her to Doggy Daze for a clipping and they were amazing with her. We did have to pay $10 and we tipped $15 because we were so happy with their care. They did have to use quick stop to stop one nail from bleeding (again her nails are so dark it makes it hard to see where her veins are). So finally 1st pet was open to do a nail trim. We made a 9:00 a.m. appointment this morning and was there on time. We wore a mask and our temps were taken at the front door. We went back to the room with a technician, I believe her name was Hannah. We told her she gets a little anxious, but is not a biter or aggressive. She took some time to get to know our dog, then took her back to clip with help. 5 minutes later she came back with our dog saying they can't clip her nails today, but we can try again next week. We were confused, but she mentioned that they are a fear free vet. I don't know many dogs that LOVE getting their nails clipped. Matter of fact, I saw them doing a Shih Tzu dog a few months ago. That dog was trying to nip them, was growling and flapping around and they got all 10 nails done. So now I'm think they discriminate larger breeds. May dog was NO worse than that Shih Tzu. We left without arguing. When we got our dog back in car, my husband said we should ask for a little sample bag of the quick stop, so if we have to clip her nails at home and go to far, we can have that on hand to stop her bleeding. I know they had some because a container was in the room on the counter. They refused to sell or give me a sample to take home. I want out of my contract without paying a fee. They have not fulfilled their part of the contract and if you bigger dog that doesn't LOVE their nails to clipped, DO NOT get the puppy plan. They are "fear free". I mean my son would cry and kick every time he had to get shots, but his doctor still insisted on getting it done with our without crying. Nail clipping is a health issue for dogs. If you don't get regular clippings it can cause infection or even the dew claw can grown into the skin, but a vet should know this! read more

This place is beyond amazing! The facility itself is beautiful and spacious. The staff is very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and caring. I was even treated to snacks, water and juice. I brought my dog in that had been attacked by another dog, and was expecting to wait forever, pay a fortune as I have at other emergency vets. The vet tech, Bri was so sweet and patient with my dog and after checking his vitals and the wounds, she told me that I could see the doctor but she felt it wasn't necessary, and because the wounds were superficial and did not require treatment they did not even charge me for the visit, plus I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! It just doesn't get any better than this! I will highly recommend 1st Pet Veterinary Centers to everyone I know and I plan on using them as my primary vet. Thank you so much! read more

My little buddy Dusty was ill late at night and I took him in to 1st Pet to see what we could do. He had a regular vet visit coming up but I felt something was wrong. I had to wait in the truck for him due to the Covid-19 situation, and they contacted me via phone for everything they did.They did X-rays and I thought we could wait for his regular vet to do the labs as they had been great just 5 months ago and w/o the labs they felt he was in some kind of pain and to try the pain med's and follow up with my regular vet. We went home and I notified his vet, but later that night he started convulsing and having seizures. I called 1st Pet again, this time in tears, and they allowed me to come into a room with him after a Covid-19 assessment and wearing a mask. He had another seizure and I had them do the labs this time and they came back high in all areas indicating pancreas and other organ issues along with full diabetes which he never had before, he had Cushings disease, and he was just shy of 13 years old. Corgi/mixes usually live 12-14 years. All the staff were amazing! They explained what our options were and what it would cost. The costs were reasonable considering it is an Emergency 24/7 Animal Hospital. At 5:30 am I made the painful decision to let him go instead of putting him through what could be a horrible last few days in a hospital setting. Dr Michael Schacher was very compassionate and helped us through the heartbreaking process and all the staff, Jenni, Melissa, Megan and Sue? were all very helpful and compassionate in their care of my little buddy and the emotional mess that was me. I chose to take him to P.A.L.S. and didn't use their cremation services, but they placed him in a small coffin box for me to transport him and they even gave me a free set of paw prints to take home. I wouldn't hesitate to use 1st Pet Veterinary Services again and really appreciate that they are there for us all! read more

Brought my dog in Pepper because he has gained alot of weight since his neuter and they did urine test, came back he had a urine infection and was in antibotics for ten days, took him back and he stills has a urine infection they want another urine test that is 186, I said well yes but it should tell what in the world is wrong. When the girl calls me she then tries to upsell another urine test for get this 400, I told them I don't spend this kind of money on myself. Our Boston Terrier injured her back early this morning. She was in so much pain we couldn't even put her harness on. Our regular vet is closed on Sundays so we rushed her to 1st Pet. (We had previously used them at their old location around the corner.) The new building is stunning. State of the art everything. We carried our pooch straight from the car into an exam room. Lisa, who checked us in, couldn't have been nicer. She even brought in some complimentary drinks and snacks which was great because we'd literally just thrown some clothes on and rushed out the door. I can't say enough good things about the vet, Dr. Kung. She spent so much time with us, going over every little detail and the possible causes of the pain. When it came to a treatment plan, we were so freaked out we would've agreed to ANYTHING. No matter how expensive. But she advised rest and medication as a first step, before rushing to get scans or do anything invasive. Just in the time we were there, the anti-inflammatory drug and the pain killer worked wonders, and our dog was practically her old self again. And we know what our next steps are if she doesn't improve or if this becomes a recurring problem. The emergency exam fee is $125 and we paid an additional $20 for medicine. A small price to pay for such wonderdul service and so much peace of mind. A place with less integrity could easily bilk someone out of thousands--when your dog is in that much pain you'll do anything to make it stop. I recommend 1st Pet to everyone. I had not been to this vet before, but when your cat pees blood in front of you an a Saturday night, you cannot wait for your vet to open in the morning. The office was nice, you get your own room to wait in and they provide snacks and beverages while you wait. They did check immediately to see if there was a blockage (thankfully, there was not). I did end up waiting three hours to run other tests, but the staff kept checking on me and my cat. I have seen other reviews complaining about the wait, but this is no different than a human emergency room where the staff has to triage their patients. The Dr and staff were friendly and helpful. I brought my dog here a few weeks ago for a simple allergy shot and to get an anti-biotic refilled that she has been on for 5 years. The vet spent a total of 5 minutes with her gave her the shot an refused to fill a prescription she has been on for 5 years. This isn't a pain medication I was asking for but a simple anti-biotic. The vet wanted me to bring her back when she was showing symptoms. I explained her her I work full time my dog is blind and epileptic and it is extremely difficult to bring her back and I like to keep them on hand and give them to her as needed. Needless to say the vet refused. My other two vets have never had a problem doing this. The vet walked in with an attitude to begin with and talked over me the entire 5 minutes she was in the room. My bill was over $200.00 for a simple allergy shot. I would NOT recommend this place as they only care about generating money and not the welfare of the animal! Worse vet ever! read more

Do not authorize anything over the phone. They are taking advantage of your inability to be with your pet at this time due to the virus. We took our dog in because she was limping and crying out. We were told that on her initial exam, she demonstrated pain while touching her whole leg but not specifically one area and she was limping while walking so they gave her pain medication to "take the edge off." After the pain medication... our ending diagnosis was "she demonstrated no pain when palpating" and to take anti-inflammatories and rest because "it didn't matter which part of her leg the pain was coming from, as long as she responded to pain medication." So after a hefty bill... my response was that pain medication took my dogs pain away, but it didn't matter which part of her leg was actually hurt. I have no idea what else they thought administering pain medication would do, other than take away the pain. The positives are that is seems to be relatively mild in nature which we knew because there was no extreme mechanism to injury, and she was still putting weight through the limb before entering the facility. If I knew all that would be done is giving pain meds without knowing a cause of pain, I would have stayed home, not wasted 3 hours of time, or wasted money that could have been better spent during this crisis. read more

This was my second stop upon getting help for my puppy. The first hospital I went to was too full, so they sent me here. I wish I would have gone anywhere else! I have never been so racially profiled in my life. The triage nurse that came in initially had an attitude with us. She stated my puppy had parvo and began to question me if I was consistent with his shots. I told her I was, and he had just got his 3rd shot last Friday. She STILL continued to question me about me being consistent with my dogs' shots even after I had told her the Vet's name and place of practice. I was already worried about my puppy and her attitude just was not helping the situation. This is just the beginning of how she treated us when we went. After she told us the amount of the deposit and cost for the parvo exam she immediately says, "we have payment plans if you aren't able to afford it." Please keep in mind I was wearing my scrubs as I had left my work to take my puppy to the ED. I asked her if there is any chance the test would be positive because he had just got his 3rd shot a few days ago. She looked at me and said "uhh aren't you in the medical? Shouldn't you know?" I just looked at her and said, "I'm sorry this isn't my area of scope." We ended up doing the exam and when it came back negative, she looked at me and asked if there are drugs in my home. At that point I had lost it and stated "just because I'm brown does not mean I do drugs. Even though I'm 25 my Hispanic mom would beat my butt." Then, she proceeded to say, "oh I didn't mean it like that." I was so upset that night. I came in for my puppy not to be racially profiled! I swear I have never been discriminated like I was that night. Not to mention my puppy's dad is middle eastern. I'm not sure if she just doesn't like Hispanics or Middle Easterns. I'm not sure what her name was but she was a little fuller, medium height, super short hair (buzzed on the side and styled spikey in the front), and glasses. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE! They are just amazing! I brought my 10 year old pom in on the weekend, they took her pretty quickly. She ended up staying three days, had to have her gallbladder removed. They texted me throughout each day, sent pictures. Jamie, her nurse, was wonderful! They really know what the pet parent is going through. The surgeon was great, he called as soon as it was over and explained everything to me. Everything from check in to discharge was smooth. They are a very caring group of individuals. First experience with this provider was 2 weeks ago when my dog suddenly developed hives and her head began to swell, I called and they said bring her straight over. Needless to say my lab Ivy is very anxious and fearful and does not do well outside of our home, or in the car, or around new people. They were so sensitive to her needs, they were very thorough and addressed all my concerns. For an emergency visit it was very affordable and they never tried to push unnecessary tests or treatments. Second visit was last night for vaccines, all new faces this time, same amazing customer service! Absolutely love all the staff here! My regular vet could not get my cat in yesterday, as it was last minute when i called them. Anyway, i asked if they referred out to anyone during after hours/or when not available, and they said 1st Pet. I called 1st Pet at 3pm, and they got me in at 3:30pm. It was for anal gland expression for my senior cat. You might not think this is an urgent matter until your whole house smells so bad it's making you sick, and your cat is just running around screaming. I mean, just pacing and screaming! So, got there at 3:30pm and was called right back. Well worth the $50. I didn't see a vet because i would have had to come back at 8pm to do so. Normally this is a vet tech thing anyway, and the tech did her thing and advised me to take my cat in to my vet to be sure no infection, which i did today. Anyway, as a new patient, they got us in within 30 min of my phone call and the $50 was more than reasonable! read more

On March 13 I found a little female dog, E. TOPEKA DRIVE and 21st street. I took her home and went to 1 st pet veterinarian on north valley, 7 Avenue and union hill for some information. It was scanned and I was told that she's not chipped. Got home, posted fliers, Facebook nobody called and decided to keep her. I made appointment for a full check up on April the 8th and the doctor told me the news that actually she's chipped. Ofcourse she's back to the owner but what a hard outcome for all of us including my dog that after almost one month with us had to be returned, to find out that they had her for only 6weeks. An easy problem that could have been solved from the very first day. Very disappointed in their service. read more

I took my dog to this emergency vet for a quick scan ultrasound for suspected cancer and internal bleeding on Saturday, Mar. 5th after my vet told me to take her here. We got there around 7:45 am and were told we would see a doctor within 3-4 hours. As the hours came and went we asked again how long it would be, and no one could give a direct answer because there were more "critical cases." At one point, we were told she was next, and it would be about an hour, but then hours and hours passed, only to be told by another person that there was "another dog in front of her." Let me tell you how frustrating it is watching your dog having trouble breathing as they tell you she is not as critical as the other dogs they have in there. I by no means am disregarding what the other dogs are going through, but to me, a risk of internal bleeding is pretty critical. We were there for almost 9 HOURS before seeing the doctor and were there for almost 12 HOURS in total!!! The veterinarian took the quick scan ultrasound and took fluid out of her abdomen which did in fact have blood as suspected. He sent the fluid out to the lab, and I was told I should have the results within 72 hours. Tuesday, Mar. 8th I called multiple times. The first time I was told that they had the labs and I would get a callback, so I waited 4 hours and called back only to find out that was the wrong information and that they have not gotten them. I had a missed call from them, so I called back thinking it was the labs, but no, they were checking on her, and still no labs. I called yesterday Wednesday, Mar 9th, and they said they have them, and I have to wait for the doctor to call. Well, here I am on Thursday, Mar. 10th and I have just talked to the doctor and got a report back about basically nothing but was told to take her for another test. In the meantime, my dog died, and all I was offered was condolences. I am so upset because in the meantime maybe I could have done something for my dog. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE! read more

While I'm very happy with the care that my cat received.... I'm very conflicted because I feel that the prices were BEYOND insane. My cat had been spayed 2 weeks earlier and had pulled open the top layer of her stitches. She was restricted which took less than an hour they charged me $540.00 and called it surgery. it wasn't surgery, it was stitches. I feel very taken advantage of. Stitches should have never cost that much. the Surgery to be spayed was $121.00 at her regular vet and that included all of her shots and a feline leukemia test. Disappointed.... sight unseen they quoted me $538.00.. they had to sedate her because she wouldn't let get anyone near her to even examine her till she was sedated. once she was sedated they should see that she had only openend the very top layer yet they charged me for a full surgical procedure anesthesia and all. COMPLETE AND TOTAL RIP OFF!!!! They stitched her with in onlly the shot the gave her to calm her down to examine her and fast as I'm concerned they owe me 220.00 for the anthesthesia they never did. they should have only charged for the sedantation shot to examine her, the 3 day paid shot and the antibiotic shot. The bill should have been 125. for the exam fee, $60 for fhe pain shot fee and 60. 00 for the anfi Ntibiotivlc shot from so it should have been 235. Not $538. I work with 325 + people.just in my locatation plus we have 2 sister stores in Scottsdale and Mesa as well as hundrendeds of vendors daily all across Aerizona and I will make sure to tell each and every one how this " Blood scucking emergency" vet gives the the optiion to pay the 538 for sritches for.a healthy cat or have her euthanized if you can't afford the $538.00 so next think I know I'm sitting the with my hysterical daughter saying mommy please dont kill our family member. I'm disgusted by this place and I will make it a point to tell EVERYONE I KNOW even the hundreds of customers my store sees a day until they make this right!!!!! read more

Worst service ever.My husband brought our dog in last Wednesday night because she was panting hard all day.She was 8 years old.They said she was having trouble breathing so they rushed her back to give her oxygen.They then told him they wanted to monitor her for 24 hours and the charge was $4000.00-$5000.00. We told them we couldn't afford the price incase she needed surgery our top out was $2000.00 They said for our top out price they could only monitor her for 12 hours and she might not live.....so our sweet Bella would not to suffer & since we couldn't afford to have them keep her for 24 hours to find out what was wrong her we had to put her down. I have 2 small kids and they were devistaded to find their dog passed away in the night.To make matters worse we were expecting paw prints of our dog but they sent us some others family's dog prints.We finally got our dogs paw prints a week later.I know this is a business but I think if they were real animal lovers they could have worked with us on a price to see what was wrong with our dog.It still cost us $800 to put our dog down. Plus the mix up with my family and another family's paw prints.I will never bring another pet here or recommend them to anyone....R.I.P my sweet Bella we miss you read more

Do not go here if you value your time, and want to be treated like you are paying for quality service. You will be left to wait indefinitely without follow up, you will be given incorrect information when you do inquire as to reason for the delay, and then you will be treated rudely by the veterinarian when you question the continued delay based on the false assumptions provided by the non-veterinary staff. To say we made a mistake going here is an understatement, not only have we wasted an hour of our morning, but we wasted a day of our pup's health on a examination and consult that never happened. What's worse is that the practice management staff will exacerbate that delay by avoiding calling you back in a timely manner. When you do finally call back on your own volition; rather than address the issue or have the insultingly rude veterinary staff apologize, they will simply try to placate you with empty platitudes and wish you best of luck with another office rather than trying to work to correct the mistakes and win back you and your pet as a patient. Should the practice like to discuss my experience further and make amends through a meaningful apology from the veterinarian and a proper and thorough examination and consult I would be willing to amend my review to reflect that desire to resolve issues. Until that event occurs, I would suggest that you stay away from this practice and I will be informing my referring vet's office to avoid making referrals to 1st Pet Veterinary Centers and will be reaching out to corporate with my experience. Full details can be found below: We made an appointment for our puppy to receive a orthopedic surgical consult on 11/17/2020 at the Chandler location. The appointment was scheduled for 08:30hrs on 11/30/2020. We arrived early and we were escorted with the pup to a examination room to wait while they took our puppy back for an examination and consult. After approximately 35 minutes since our arrival and no further contact from staff, we inquired with the front desk staff. The front desk staff went to check with the veterinary staff and came back to the room 5 minutes later and indicated that the veterinarian was just finishing up with his clinical notes and should be in shortly to conduct the consult. We again waited another approximately 13 minutes and still had not been seen by anyone. The front desk staff then went to check again and came back and indicated the veterinarian was dealing with another pet on sedation and that we could leave our pet there and wait to be called to come back for the consult or we could wait a bit longer. I then indicated that we would wait another 8 minutes and if the veterinarian was not available we would take our pup and leave. Within 3 minutes of that, the veterinarian came back and introduced themselves to which I stated "Pleasure to meet you, I want to start off by saying that I am not upset with you, but I am upset that we were scheduled during a time that was too busy". The veterinarian interrupted me and stated "No, I am the one your are upset with, they (the front desk) did everything right, I am dealing with another patient who is under sedation and it is critical and I am trying to juggle both. You can wait while I finish this up or you can leave..." I indicated that we would leave since this particular veterinarian was clearly upset that we dared to question the office time management. Mind you not one staff member prior to this veterinarian walking in and immediately being rude mentioned anything about an emergency taking place/precedence over our appointment. I would have been fine had that been communicated early or upon our arrival but almost an hour into our wait seems less like an emergency and more and excuse considering no one else mentioned anything of that sort during our previous questions at 35 minutes and and 48 minutes into our appointment. We then waited for the veterinary technician to bring our pup back to us and we proceeded to the front where I asked the front desk staff to speak to the office manager. The office manager re-iterated the need to speak to the veterinarian but that she would be in contact with me before the end of the day to discuss the examination and consult. She was gracious enough to not charge us for the visit but little did I know at the time it was because nothing was done for the entire hour of our visit. At 16:20 that same day I had not heard from the office manager so I called to inquire on the status of the examination/consult notes and she informed me that nothing had been done. So while I am grateful we were not charged for a service we did not receive, we wasted a whole day waiting for results for an hour long appointment for nothing when we could have re-scheduled with another orthopedic veterinarian. Everyone here is so welcoming and loving to us and our pets. Both of our dogs come here for their regular check ups and any needed shots. Our year and a half old dog needed to get his baby canine tooth surgically removed because the stubborn sucker wouldn't fall out. They did an awesome job and he is happy as can be. Recovery time was quick and it seemed like he wasn't even in pain! Really do love these guys here. read more

I wish I could give a zero. They would not see my dog until I made a doctor appointment with their vets which, I did even though I was only taking my dog in for a grooming service. Since she is an older dog, I went ahead snd made the appointment. No one told me that because she was seen in the past at deer creek that I could not get my dog seen unless it was an after hour emergency. They have some kind of back door agreement with deer creek. When I called deer creek they advised they never heard of this policy. So here I am caught in between this unprofessional establishment holding me hostage to not get my dog seen where I choose to have my dog seen. And on top of it all the front desk help wants to argue and patronize me and tell me deer creek is aware of this policy which I guess they feel like they don't have to disclose to the patients owners???? I didn't sign anything saying I won't take my dog to deer creek or Vice versa. Dont use this place they are a rip off and unprofessional. read more

Our little girl had surgery the day before and suddenly she got this marble size bulge. By the time we got to another ER place, it was the size of a large man's fist. In the back office room, we sat on a bench for 2.5 hours trying to keep our baby still but she was very uncomfortable and struggling to breathe. I think we were forgotten until we went to get a drink. We were then told there is no ETA on when she will be seen. We then went to 1stPet and what a difference. We were put into their back office room that had more comfortable chairs, beverages/snacks were provided in the room, the gave us a breakdown of charges upfront, and more importantly, they gave meds to our baby so she could rest comfortably. Huge difference for us as it was 3am and we were also exhausted. 1stPet went the extra mile for us! read more

1st pet was a GOD send for me, as 1st Pet North Valley have always given my dogs Bubba and Sarah the best of care and pet owner and animal mom could ask for !!! The Doctors, technicians and customer service representatives have been kind, warm and welcoming in every way to myself and my fur babies. I believe that April Kung did a horrible job evaluating my dog Annie. She was returned to us screaming and crying more than when took her into the vet. The tech who gave her to us just nodded that she was being normal when we asked what was wrong with her. She said it was the meds she was coming off of. We were home less than an hour and passed away. April didn't explain she would be that way. She said it was her back but I believe she was overdosed and not evaluated properly. The director stated we turned down the x ray's which was true since I asked him why not a ultrasound. He said we turned it down. I still say an x ray and an ultrasound are different. Its been exactly 1 year and I'm still upset about how we were treated by the vet. I waited to post anything negative to ensure I was not just emotional from the loss of my dog. We thought my dog had heat exhaustion from hiking in Sedona and treated him accordingly by trying to cool him off with cool water. Turns out it wasn't heat exhaustion and we were reprimanded about how we were treating our dog. No empathy and when we actually found out what was causing the panting we were told , " You cant take your dog home because he is going to drowned to death from fluid in his lungs and you can not take him home." Definitely information we needed but the delivery was stoic and rude. When we decided to put him down , the staff was printing the label for the empathy card in front of us and got the card ready to go. I could write a book but the overall experience lacked kindness or empathy. They were very interested in what they could charge us for options rather than the the experience they were providing. We were made to feel like horrible pet parents and did not hear 1 kind word other than , " Sorry about the wait, " for us to go back for the Euthanasia. I am a dog lover and unfortunately have had to put a few down in my life time. NEVER have I had such an awful experience. read more

I don't leave a lot of reviews but this place was not for us and others should be warned. The Dr we saw is only concerned about racking up fees through redundant tests and pure laziness. Not only was he unprofessional and unresponsive after my first visit (I had to file a complaint) he's refusing to fill my 13yr old Danes arthritis meds. He's requiring another blood test before he fills the script, it's been 5 months when it's only ever been a yearly test in the past. It's a shame because we have 4 Danes total and had a great experience with the first one we took here but will not be back. Beware of the ridiculousness and blatant efforts to increase their fees while calling it care for our fur babies. Such a shame read more

My Vet could not take my dog today even though it was an emergency so they referred me here and I'm glad they did! We had such a great experience here! My dog ended up needing a minor surgery that with anesthesia I thought would cost over $1,000 - it didn't even cost half that! We were also in and out of there in 2 hours. This office is so nice and clean and the staff was incredibly helpful and kind I cannot recommend this office highly enough! read more

This was my second stop upon getting help for my puppy. The first hospital I went to was too full, so they sent me here. I wish I would have gone anywhere else! I have never been so racially profiled in my life. The triage nurse that came in initially had an attitude with us. She stated my puppy had parvo and began to question me if I was consistent with his shots. I told her I was, and he had just got his 3rd shot last Friday. She STILL continued to question me about me being consistent with my dogs' shots even after I had told her the Vet's name and place of practice. I was already worried about my puppy and her attitude just was not helping the situation. This is just the beginning of how she treated us when we went. After she told us the amount of the deposit and cost for the parvo exam she immediately says, "we have payment plans if you aren't able to afford it." Please keep in mind I was wearing my scrubs as I had left my work to take my puppy to the ED. I asked her if there is any chance the test would be positive because he had just got his 3rd shot a few days ago. She looked at me and said "uhh aren't you in the medical field? Shouldn't you know?" I just looked at her and said, "I'm sorry this isn't my area of scope." We ended up doing the exam and when it came back negative, she looked at me and asked if there are drugs in my home. At that point I had lost it and stated "just because I'm brown does not mean I do drugs. Even though I'm 25 my Hispanic mom would beat my butt." Then, she proceeded to say, "oh I didn't mean it like that." I was so upset that night. I came in for my puppy not to be racially profiled! I swear I have never been discriminated like I was that night. Not to mention my puppy's dad is middle eastern. I'm not sure if she just doesn't like Hispanics or Middle Easterns. I'm not sure what her name was but she was a little fuller, medium height, super short hair (buzzed on the side and styled spikey in the front), and glasses. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE!
