We were very appreciative of their care of our baby. The Doc issued good meds, to keep us going for our cross-country trip and the staff was attentive - and tried to get us in and out as fast as possible. Right before we were discharged- another critical patient came in, the staff was good at keeping us informed what was going on and how much longer it would be until they could get us out of there. I appreciated that!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! Your pet will truly be in more danger going here because it is quicker than going somewhere else that is farther. The receptionist was nice and seemed like she genuinely felt bad for us. The male vet was HORRIBLE. His people skills are laughable and if it was any other situation I would have called him out for being an ass but our sweet girl was in so much pain and my heart was breaking. He was sassy and didn't seem to care one bit that we were loosing our dog. The other lady that we met was the one that seemed money hungry. Didn't seem to care what was happening to our pup just was worried about getting our card. Here's what she looked like. In the end our pup passed away and this shit vet got $900 dollars from my family.

had a devastating issue with our dog. she passed on the way to Blue Pearl and they were so kind and compassionate with our situation. they ran out to the vehicle to get her and wheeled her in. we knew she was gone. they held her till morning for us to take her to PALS. everyone was so nice and they were busy too. hats off to your staff. if we ever need you again we would come here. Cayman says thank you

"Money Before fur babies." I would first ask a favor to any reader who has meandered onto this review to take the time to read it fully, as the details are both necessary and revealing. We had to put down our 8 year old terrier mix pup, Wolfgang, incredibly early due to cancer that had metastasized in his lung tissue. Initially, we believed all the symptoms and tests pointed to Vally Fever, sadly we were wrong. On February 10th of 2026, while at home, I noticed our pup was distressed in his breathing, to the extent he was becoming lethargic and not eating or drinking. Accordingly, I rushed him to the nearest 24 hour Veterinarian Clinic, Blue Pearl, located on 67th Avenue and loop 101. When I arrived, Wolf was clearly distressed so a kind vet tech approached to ask what they could do, at which time I stated he needed oxygen due to his condition. The tech took Wolf away, but within minutes I was approached by an older man who had a clipboard in his hand with "pricing" lists. He promptly stated he would need a card on file to begin treatment, after which time I told him to "take care of my fucking dog, I have money". Sounds a bit harsh, sure, so I'm going to share some more of my story. I'm a retired Arizona DPS Aviation Helicopter Pilot. For those who did not see the news, Ranger 56, an Arizona DPS helicopter, crashed last week and two good friends perished. This large detail is very fresh inside my head as we have yet to lay them to rest. Add to this tragic event the condition of our dog, who by the way, had been to Blue Pearl on two other occasions, which should warrant some level or respect as a return customer. (It didn't). The elder male employee walked away from me and proceeded to the front desk where he commented on the use of my verbiage. I did state my apologies to the man but that clearly was not enough. When I approached the desk with a form of payment, he proceeded to dress me down as a toddler and commanded I will not talk to staff like that and demanded I tell him I will not use that language. Had the elder man actually been in the lobby at the initial time I entered the clinic, he'd have heard a respectful customer engage with the young lady at the computer with titles of "ms.", which I use routinely in engagements with women, both young and old alike. At the young age of 54, even I get emotional when it comes to our fur baby, he is, after all, family. When the elder man impressed on the entire lobby he was more concerned about the verbiage I use as opposed to my dog getting treatment, I requested to get our pup back and I proceeded to a known and professional Vet. Hospital. Keep in mind, at this point Wolf is still in the preliminary stages of being assessed but without any treatment so he was still struggling. My recommendation to this business is, get back to the basics. Your business model promptly informs any customer, both new or returning, that money is the first and foremost topic of discussion for treatment in this facility. What's more, a member of your staff, in spite of being older, appeared to have zero understanding of the gravity or the individuality of a clearly distressed customer. The male in question is a poor example of the nature of business today, money over life. If I affect your business as a result of this exchange, I would posit injecting a more humane approach to the practice. Our pup gently and quietly passed away later that night in a clinic that treated him and us with the care and concern of parents in distress for their child. Of import, when we arrived with our pup at this facility, the first thing they did was triaged and addressed the pain our pup was experiencing. Later, we discussed payment, but in a dignified and more apt environment.

Amazing, SAM thank you for helping our baby girl Ivy. You are amazing and the women at the front desk are lovely. Ivy says thank you Sam!

Yesterday we took Bella in for her annual check up and some vaccines. The doc we had wasn't one we had before but she literally spent less than 5 minutes with us. Didn't ask us any questions. Just was quick, administered the vaccines and took off and her tech took over the rest. $80 for what? It's not like she was super busy, overbooked or behind. Appointments are what? 30 mins? I even made a comment to the tech how crazy quick that was and she replied saying well we don't want to keep you here all day. I get that and appreciate that. But 5 mins? Just the lack of any sense the doc cared is what bothered me the most. We live in a 15 mile radius of 8 Lovet locations so I guess we will try another location next time. Dr. Starks was thorough in explaining what could be happening with our dog, Thor, and clearly outlined her plan of action. I appreciated how she took the time to make sure we understood everything before proceeding. The facility itself is large and well-equipped to accommodate several large-breed dogs. Because Thor was possibly dealing with kennel cough, we were asked to wait in our vehicle for safety, which we understood. Before the examination, I completed the necessary paperwork inside the lobby, where they provided fresh cold water bottles and a coffee machine for pet parents -- a thoughtful touch for those waiting for their precious pets. The staff and assistants, all female during our visit, were professional, gentle, and very attentive during Thor's exam. Poor Thor was uneasy at first with all the touching and the new environment, as he's mainly used to home and daycare, but the staff helped calm him and made him feel more comfortable. I've already recommended this facility to my favorite niece, who has two German Shepherds. The exam cost was very reasonable -- under $200, not including optional services such as X-rays, which Dr. Starks clearly explained upfront. We are truly grateful for the care and compassion shown to our handsome large Lab mix, Thor. We had purchased the lifetime vaccinations through Westbrook Animal Hosp). I asked if they still honored that and they said yes. BUT, like others said, they fail to say that you are required to bring your pet in once a year to keep the program active. They said that I was 2 months past a year since my last visit, but they would make a "one-time" exception and let me continue. During my visit last fall, they took a fecal sample and told me they would let me know of any negative results that needed attention. A few days after my visit I get a text message saying only that my dog's prescription was ready for pick up. I ignored it since I had picked up the script for his medication during my office visit. I knew of no other meds. Then I got another notification about his prescription still waiting. By now it had been two weeks since his visit. I called asked what they were talking about and was told that the medication was because they had found parasites in the fecal sample. I told them that I had never been notified about the results of the fecal test. The person on the phone asked if I still wanted the medication. I asked her, well, if the parasites have resolved on their own, should I even give him this medication after the fact? Then she admitted that no, if the problem has resolved itself, there's no need for it. Then i took my dog back a couple weeks ago to get another shot that was not on the same schedule as the ones he got in the fall. At checkout in the exam room, as is now apparently their custom, they try to upsell you on food or other procedures. I declined all of them. Then the next day or so i get an email from them with the title that my dog "is due for a visit!" Then the body of the email says "our records indicate that it's about time we see XXX for the following.... book online here..." Then it reads "Due Soon: Recommended: Dental w/Essentials." The doc had mentioned cleaning his teeth during the visit, but I had declined because that required putting him completely under. So I was surprised and irritated to get an email notice from them saying that "according to their records" he was "due" for a visit. I replied to this email twice and also sent another one to a different Lovet email asking what "Dental w/essentials" entailed and how much it cost. I have gotten no replies. Then two days ago, I called them. As usual, there was no answer. No person answering the phone. Just the usual automated press this number for.... I left a detailed voicemail and haven't heard back from that either. So, yes, like many other reviews have said, the quality of service has changed. You no longer have the same person seeing your pet from visit to visit but a new person every time. And yes, the focus now seems to be on upselling. It's sad and disappointing.

We have been to VetMed Emergency Care twice. This will be my only review, and I hate to write it…read more A few years ago, early one morning our dog appeared to wake-up having a seizure. Even though she seemed OK about ten minutes later, we decided to take her in for a checkup anyway, and VetMed was the nearest Clinic open. After examining our dog, the vet gave us his "diagnosis". "She must have got into your 'drug stash', because she's really High.", he said. I pointed out that of all the things it could possibly be, he picked the one that's impossible. We don't use drugs, and we don't have a drug 'stash'. "Are you sure?", he insisted, "She's high as a kite!". The only person in the house on prescription meds buys them one vial at a time, and keeps them in her purse. There is no way it was drugs. The vet seemed offended that we doubted his diagnosis, and insisted he run a "Drug Test". We told him it would be negative, and it was. The dog was clean as a whistle. End Diagnosis: "We don't know what's wrong with your dog. That'll be $600 please.", (including the unnecessary Drug test). A few years later, the same dog has two growths on her belly. We had her scheduled for surgery to remove them the following Monday, but Saturday one of them ruptured, causing a systemic infection on her side. VetMed was the only emergency clinic open, so we took her in. Our priority was, 1. Antibiotics to slow the infection, and 2. Get her to surgery as scheduled to have the growths removed. They kept her alive, so I'll give them kudos for that, but they told us they don't do surgery there, despite putting "Mass and Tumor Removal" on their page. Instead, they insisted on keeping her for three nights, which canceled the surgery she was scheduled for. They ran tests for Cancer, insisting she might have it, even though she had been tested TWICE before, and all the tests were negative. They still did CT scans, Sonograms, X-rays. One doctor said her kidneys were fine, and another said they were failing. They ran test after test while the infection continued to eat away inside her. Some of the tests we paid for have no posted results, did they even do them? I don't know. The vet started talking Cardiac problems, and we finally said "ENOUGH!", paid the $9000 they charged us and took her home. She's still alive, although totally incapacitated. She still has the growths, so we plan to take her to one more Vet tomorrow, but we're already expecting a recommendation to put her down. Sure, VetMed offered to do that too, but not until we insisted on taking her home so we could give her a peaceful passing. TLDR: I'm not saying don't take your pet there. If your dog rolls off the bed and breaks it's leg at 2AM, they're better than nothing, but when you leave, TAKE YOUR DOG WITH YOU, and schedule an appointment with your regular vet. Otherwise, you might end up leaving three days later with a pet that's been over-tested and over-diagnosed for every possible problem they can charge you for, a $9000 vet bill, and a dog with a broken leg. We won't be going back, ever.
