On 3/12/26 around 8:00am I suddenly had to say goodbye to my best dog friend of 17 years. It was EXTREMELY disrespectful to hear staff laughing loudly in the back as I was spending my final moments with my pet. The entirety of the visit, I could hear staff giggling through the door of the euthanasia room. At one point there was loud laughing right outside the door from the treatment area. I was having the worst day of my life and having to deal with a lack of professionalism from staff made it worse. I want to note that this does not involve the front desk or attending veterinarian. Coming from the veterinary field myself, hearing laughing during a vulnerable moment in your life is something no client should ever to experience. It's rude, disrespectful, and not good practice. I spoke to the manager when I went to pick up my dog's ashes- I realized I do not want an apology from the manager. I want an apology from the staff involved. I also believe they should pursue training on behavior during end of life cases. Do not go here if you are seeking an ounce of compassion from the back staff. I cannot say goodbye to my pet again, but you can hold in your laughter until I am out of the building. read more

We were very appreciative of their care of our baby. The Doc issued good meds, to keep us going for our cross-country trip and the staff was attentive - and tried to get us in and out as fast as possible. Right before we were discharged- another critical patient came in, the staff was good at keeping us informed what was going on and how much longer it would be until they could get us out of there. Extremely disappointed with the experience I had here today. My puppy unfortunately had a seizure for the first time, and naturally, I rushed to get him to an emergency veterinary clinic just so he could be evaluated. They only had 1 doctor (with 10 different techs???) who was stuck on a critically urgent patient, and only had 1 other doctor coming in later simply to relieve her, and take over. I understand that these critically urgent patients take precedence over my "stable" dog, however they had my puppy locked in a kennel in the back for over 4 hours with no end in sight. Not only that but I feel pretty confident he also wasn't given any water as he was extremely thirsty by the time I got to a different emergency clinic. All we needed was his blood drawn and maybe an ekg just so we could rule things out, yet nothing could be done until a doctor saw him. I waited patiently for over 4 hours before I decided to go somewhere else. Sure enough about 10 minutes down the road was Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), which was like night and day in comparison to this place. The only reason I'm not giving this location a 1 star review is because of how nice the people who work there are. I just hope they know there are better options out there than this... read more

an injured stray kitten with a broken leg and I was told they could not help because she was too scared and they did not want to remove her from the carrier. I left in disbelief and went to another emergency hospital that took her immediately. she was in desperate need of care and Blue Pearl could not be bothered. they are no better then the In-humane Society in my opinion. this was not the first time I was turned away with a sick stray kitten . I had a wonderful experience at BluePearl Pet Hospital - Peoria. When my cat had an incident with her claw, Edie handled my frazzled phone call with such calm reassurance and let me know I could bring her in immediately. When we arrived, the team triaged her quickly. Kaitlynne was incredibly patient and understanding while gathering information from me. My cat is quite spicy and only made it through the weigh-in before we discussed sedation. It was very stressful signing paperwork about resuscitation, but Kaitlynne and Edie remained kind and empathetic while I signed paperwork and paid through tears. I later received an update call from Jasmine, who let me know she was able to handle my cat without sedation. It was such a relief and I was pleasantly surprised that every effort was made before resorting to sedation, even after I had approved it. Yami helped process the discharge and provided the updated invoice reflecting that sedation was not needed. She was friendly, sweet, and very informative. Jasmine provided me with a Certificate of Bravery for my cat and a detailed explanation of the care provided and what to keep an eye out for at home. Although I did not have direct contact with him, I am extremely grateful to Dr. Huitt for caring for my cat. The entire team was a perfect balance of professional and compassionate throughout the stressful experience. The receptionist was nice and seemed like she genuinely felt bad for us. The male vet was HORRIBLE. His people skills are laughable and if it was any other situation I would have called him out for being an ass but our sweet girl was in so much pain and my heart was breaking. He was sassy and didn't seem to care one bit that we were loosing our dog. The other lady that we met was the one that seemed money hungry. Didn't seem to care what was happening to our pup just was worried about getting our card. Here's what she looked like. We took our fur baby here on Sunday after our personal vet, Lovet, wasn't available and gave us a few nearby pet hospitals. This is going to be a long review, but I'll start with a short story. I WOULD NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. Arrived, and the receptionist was welcoming--big, clean room with lots of windows. Then it went downhill. The heavy-set Hispanic male with the man bun who took our dog has no personality and no empathy. Flat and toneless as you try to explain to him why you are there when he comes to take your dog. Then you sit........................................................and wait....................................2 hours go by. Listening to the staff talk shit about each other, and then also about the patients that were calling in. The employees are the only voices you hear in this place, and the unprofessionalism from that alone. Then we get called to a room...... a colder than any hospital room and waiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. The woman, who identified herself as a doctor, appeared disheveled as she explained the issue with our dog and the available options. It might have been my own guilt, but I felt judged the whole time by her. Her mass burst. They are worried about anemia and want to do blood work. Once the blood work comes back, we will know more. This mass is likely cancerous, and it's more likely that our pet has cancer. They want to do X-rays. The redhead female walked in (Diana?) to discuss the doctor's requirements and shove a bill in my face: no empathy, and no compassion. We are handed a bill with two amounts: $1600 and $985. The higher amount corresponds to the X-rays, and the lower amount corresponds to the absence of X-rays. This is when it took a turn for the worse. I agreed to pay the $985, but would take our dog to our personal vet to do the X-rays and surgery if needed. I explained that the doctor said our dog is not anemic, so please control the bleeding, and then I'll go to my own vet for the rest of the treatment. Then, all of a sudden, they say our dog needs immediate surgery, and they can't personally do it, but they found a few other vets who will do it for $ 4,000 to $5,000. By the time I got our dog back, it was 6 hours later. We spent close to $1,000 here. Left with our dog still bleeding from this mass with a freaking Ace bandage wrapped around her waist. Literally..............still........... dripping..........blood on our way out. I looked at the reviews of this place and sure wish I had taken a second to look at where we were taking a fur baby. Today is Tuesday morning, and I have not had this place do a single follow-up with me to check on my dog. My own vet at Lovet (51st & Thunderbird) has called me THREE TIMES already since Sunday to check on her, and this review is being written on Monday, 09/05. Please also avoid adding a message from the business at the bottom with their usual "oh no" message, asking us how you can do better. When inquiring about what to do with a stray dog, we were told that they only take animals that are injured, so they referred us to the Papago Park Humane Society at 5501 E. Van Buren, Phoenix. Upon arrival this place also said they only take injured animals. We told the Humane Society that they were referred by Blue Pearl. The lady at the Humane Society said that Blue Pearl does this all the time. Not a very smart move by Blue Pearl! Having gone 15 miles out of our way, we were told that the Maricapo Animal Rescue on South 27th Ave, Phoenix would take our stray dog. Which was another 25 miles away! The front desk was very helpful and friendly, along with the techs we spoke with. Didn't wait long at all and very affordable compared to other ER and urgent care vets. They rolled a gurney with soft blankets out to our car and helped us bring her inside in the most comfortable, gentle way possible. They walked us through every option, gave us all the time we needed, and made sure we never felt rushed. On what was truly one of the hardest days of our lives, they made the experience as gentle and supportive as possible. Afterward, Greg came and spoke with us again, offering some of the most comforting words I could have imagined in that moment. His kindness meant everything to us. $$$$$ Wow . They take advantage of being open 24hrs. They took my 7lb Chihuahua into the back without me. And right away said that it would cost either $700 or $1200. To have her looked at. One price included xrays and labs. The other only included only xrays. I paid the $1200 because no one else was open. Then after xrays where done, said that I declined the full blood lab panel. Which I couldn't prove otherwise because they refused to give me a copy of the original documents that they made me sign. They couldn't tell anything see anything conclusive on the xrays, but then needed another test with an ultrasound... for additional cost of course. Almost 3hrs in the office, separated from my dog the whole time. Totally unprofessional. Inhumane. Gaslighting bullshitters. I'll never go back. One MA slammed the door walking out when I said I wanted to see my dog. I don't recommend. My babygirl chihuahua ended up dying later that day and I believe they knew the entire time I was there and just wanted to get as much money from me as possible. Oh and there was no follow up call either. 2 days later, a reduce response was made to my Google review. "Money Before fur babies." I would first ask a favor to any reader who has meandered onto this review to take the time to read it fully, as the details are both necessary and revealing. We had to put down our 8 year old terrier mix pup, Wolfgang, incredibly early due to cancer that had metastasized in his lung tissue. Initially, we believed all the symptoms and tests pointed to Vally Fever, sadly we were wrong. On February 10th of 2026, while at home, I noticed our pup was distressed in his breathing, to the extent he was becoming lethargic and not eating or drinking. Accordingly, I rushed him to the nearest 24 hour Veterinarian Clinic, Blue Pearl, located on 67th Avenue and loop 101. When I arrived, Wolf was clearly distressed so a kind vet tech approached to ask what they could do, at which time I stated he needed oxygen due to his condition. The tech took Wolf away, but within minutes I was approached by an older man who had a clipboard in his hand with "pricing" lists. He promptly stated he would need a card on file to begin treatment, after which time I told him to "take care of my fucking dog, I have money". Sounds a bit harsh, sure, so I'm going to share some more of my story. I'm a retired Arizona DPS Aviation Helicopter Pilot. For those who did not see the news, Ranger 56, an Arizona DPS helicopter, crashed last week and two good friends perished. This large detail is very fresh inside my head as we have yet to lay them to rest. Add to this tragic event the condition of our dog, who by the way, had been to Blue Pearl on two other occasions, which should warrant some level or respect as a return customer. (It didn't). The elder male employee walked away from me and proceeded to the front desk where he commented on the use of my verbiage. I did state my apologies to the man but that clearly was not enough. When I approached the desk with a form of payment, he proceeded to dress me down as a toddler and commanded I will not talk to staff like that and demanded I tell him I will not use that language. Had the elder man actually been in the lobby at the initial time I entered the clinic, he'd have heard a respectful customer engage with the young lady at the computer with titles of "ms.", which I use routinely in engagements with women, both young and old alike. At the young age of 54, even I get emotional when it comes to our fur baby, he is, after all, family. When the elder man impressed on the entire lobby he was more concerned about the verbiage I use as opposed to my dog getting treatment, I requested to get our pup back and I proceeded to a known and professional Vet. Hospital. Keep in mind, at this point Wolf is still in the preliminary stages of being assessed but without any treatment so he was still struggling. My recommendation to this business is, get back to the basics. Your business model promptly informs any customer, both new or returning, that money is the first and foremost topic of discussion for treatment in this facility. What's more, a member of your staff, in spite of being older, appeared to have zero understanding of the gravity or the individuality of a clearly distressed customer. The male in question is a poor example of the nature of business today, money over life. If I affect your business as a result of this exchange, I would posit injecting a more humane approach to the practice. Our pup gently and quietly passed away later that night in a clinic that treated him and us with the care and concern of parents in distress for their child. Of import, when we arrived with our pup at this facility, the first thing they did was triaged and addressed the pain our pup was experiencing. Our dog suddenly lost the use of her legs one morning and we were of course very panicked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went to Blue Pearl for the first time and had a fantastic experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Was there a long wait, yes, as every emergency vet has. But they came out to our car to check on her right away and brought her in with a gurney since she couldn't walk. They made sure she was ok and didn't need immediate attention and then let her wait in the back until she could be seen officially. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tech checked on us frequently while waiting to give us updates on the wait and how Kimber was doing in the meantime.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She even showed us a picture of her back there and she was in a really nice big glass crate with blankets in the bottom. Once we were officially seen by the vet, they let us know that she had not experienced a stroke as we feared but had vestibular disease making her so dizzy that her legs weren't working and her head was tilted trying to make things right side up. The vet offered us choices in what we wanted to do and was very upfront on costs and why some things were available if we wanted to do them, but may not be worth the money if we wouldn't treat based on the results anyways. Everyone there seemed really caring and knowledgeable. Something else they offer is if it's a long wait and there are bigger emergencies ahead of your animal, they will take the dog back to wait in a crate while you go home until they call you. I took my beloved cat Betty on October 8th for emergency care. I had to put her down that night and chose to have her cremated and have her ashes returned to me in a wooden box, paid extra for this. I was told it would take about two weeks for me to pick up her remains. No one called me. I called them and after being on hold for 10 - 15 minutes, I was informed they had made a typo and my Betty was cremated in a communal cremation with other animals!! Her ashes are forever gone. I was beyond devastated and livid at this careless horrible mistake by their staff. NOTHING they can do will ever make this right. I adopted Betty when she was two months old and she lived to almost 12 years. I had planned to take her ashes back to San Diego to spread her ashes at the bay. Now because of their incompetent staff (who still work there), I will never have this closure. This is a horrific experience, NEVER take your loved pets there. Her name was Betty and was cremated in a communal cremation like a stray. I did not choose this for her and would never. She deserved better. She was a beautiful loving cat. Blue Pearl did this to my cat. They treated her remains with disrespect and forever robbed me of closure and Betty's dignity. I am angry and heartbroken. Never go to Blue Pearl. I came here due to an emergency in the middle of the night where my dog fell & hit her head. It was one of the scariest moments of my life & I went to Blue Pearl in hopes that they'd do everything they could to help her. At this time, my dog was incredibly dizzy and discombobulated. I was desperate for proper answers, medical advice, anything. Not only did they only examine her for less than 5 minutes & determine "her vitals are great," Shiloh Landslov gave me a lousy, unemotional explanation about my dog's condition. I'm sat there in tears eager for an ounce of anything professional & helpful from this vet & she couldn't care less because "her vitals are fine." Her conclusion was that my dog was dizzy prior to hitting her head & the most she could offer was anti-nausea meds, & a printout describing vestibular disease. With the severity of my dog's condition, I couldn't believe how quickly the vet visit went. They gave her back to us in the exact same, discombobulated condition and charged us half a grand. Today, we saw a vet that cares & takes his job seriously. He too concluded it to be vestibular disease, but he SAT with me & explained it to me. He answered my questions, he showed me that he cared. He gave me home therapy ideas & also informed me that the medicine Shiloh Landslov prescribed 2 days worth of that cost us $200 is actually an over the counter medication we can get ourselves. She never mentioned this either. Thanks to the vet we saw today, I have peace of mind that my dog will be okay & that there's a vet who cares about her well being. He's not just in it for the money or the title. That being said, if i could give BluePearl and dr. slob 0 stars i would. Do not bring your dog here unless you're prepared for them to recommend euthanasia right away. We brought our young, 6-7-year-old dog into Blue Pearl, willing to do whatever it took to help her. From the moment we arrived, the staff made it clear they didn't believe she was worth saving. Instead of exploring treatment options, they immediately began pushing for euthanasia -- before really evaluating her condition. We told them we were willing to pay for the necessary procedures, that we wanted to help her. We asked them to move forward with treatment. Later, we received a call saying they had started, but again they were urging us to put her to sleep. It felt like they had already made up their minds. As paying customers who came seeking help, we expected them to respect our wishes and exhaust options before giving up. They didn't. In the end, we were left with no real choice -- and no real care. When I returned to pick up her ashes, I saw several others doing the same. There were rows of cremation bags behind the counter, and I overheard them telling another family the exact same things they told us. It became very clear this was routine -- that this hospital doesn't fight for pets, they default to letting them go. To them, she may have been just another case. To us, she was family. Now our home is quiet, and our hearts are broken. I would not recommend this place to anyone who believes their pet deserves a fighting chance. read more

This place is amazing! I had a late night emergency with my little Chico. They saw him right away and they were incredibly compassionate, accommodating and assertive. The facility was clean as a whistle, [[HIGHLIGHT]]even the security guard was so helpful when I was leaving to get the door for me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Chico was taken great care of and it was a surprisingly affordable trip to the best pet E.R. at midnight. HORRIBLE! We took our little poodle there, bleeding from her rear . We had to wait over two hours to be seen. awful customer service from front desk to when we left. No diagnoses, just a bill. bleeding stopped later on its own. Found AVCCC Pet Hospital, diagnosed with cancer, referred for surgery, which went well and she lived 5 more years. AVECC is the only place to take your loved pet. Just like a good Human emergency room. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Worst place, money- hungry so called hospital. I took my cat there 4 weeks ago and again Thanksgiving night after no improvement. My cat was not eating or drinking, and declining but still able to walk around. We arrived, we clearly stated we wanted her low blood pressure stabilized with fluids. They kept pushing for unnecessary labs like thyroid tests and imaging that could be done at her regular vet or internist. They were giving ultimatum take it or leave it and would not let us decline and gave me AMA paper to sign. I told them I wanted to take mt cat to another hospital, then they decided to allow what we asked. This was going on for 4 hours, meanwhile my cat blood pressure was falling and she still had not received med to bring up the blood pressure after 3 hours and payment, because they said she needed a 2nd IV and didn't bother to try asking eben though we paid extra for miscellaneous costs that should have covered. When I saw her before leaving her overnight, she was more unstable than when I brought her in and not responsive. She ended up dying the next day because she remained unstable. I think the staff and the delayed care made her worse and I don't trust that the staff may have done something to make her worse. I will be complaining to corporate and will post bad reviews and i have spoken to the pharmacy board about the horrible care. It was like negotiating with a car salesman. No empathy. The vet assistant was the most rude, bitchy unprofessional staff ever, totally should be fired. Furthermore, we asked for our pet carrier back and they say they can't find it.. The front desk person was very kind. That's the only good thing to be said about this place. My dog had a bleeding wound and I spent an hour waiting only to be told it would be at least 3K to dress her wound, and that someone would be in to give me the itemized list. They didn't even treat her, simply took her bandage off and let her sit and charge 200 bucks to do nothing. Like many others, I found a better vet nearby who gave me options and actually treated her bloody wound as opposed to just taking the bandage off and staring at it. This doctor seriously needs empathy training. She clearly is not meant for a field that relies on prompt care and empathy for patients. Go anywhere else for your fur babies. read more
