Unfortunately, we had called another plumber, unsure of how long a call back would be and scheduled a visit for today. Earl was very polite even though we had to tell him someone else was coming. We waited two hours for the other plumber to call when on way and then realized we should have stuck with Earl! Earl had cleared a clog for our neighbors the previous day. We called back Earl and he was considerate of the other plumber, not wanting to take the job from someone else. We assured him we would cancel the other plumber (someone part of a conglomerate and was fine with a cancellation). which we did and called back Earl. He explained that since we are on a septic, he wanted to help us know whether it was really a clogged line, which he could work on, or a failed septic or drain field which would be something he couldn't fix and we would end up having to pay him to come out and have nothing fixed. Earl took his time to explain to us how to check our septic tank and figure out if the field was working. Sure enough, the problem was a mat of roots. We cleared them out of the inlet pipe from inside the septic and clog was cleared. We offered to pay Earl for his advice and he declined. Needless to say, Mid Michigan plumbing will be our go to from now until the end of time. Highly recommend.

CHP arrived and quoted me for hot and cold hook up, drain into utility sink, dryer vent hook up. Our utility sink drained slow so technician said they would snake and clean the best they could. Father in law arrived to New house. He hooked up dryer and did the vent work. He also had placed drain to the utility sink ( 50% of the work i was quoted for) CHP arrived and placed the hot and cold and supposedly drained or snaked the drain. First load after hookup we had water everywhere. Got a second opinion like I should have to begin with and Mr. Rooter came in and fixed what CHP could not. CHP charged me more than the work they provided ( not making proper adjustments) and discounted me with a slap in the face. Never will I use again for plumbing or heating issues.

I feel price gouged, and pressured to purchase items immediately, only to have them delay the installation for weeks. Not cool, maybe not legal. Would not even give invoices for items to me, the consumer which purchased the items not from them, but through them by a third party with my credit card.
