Do not buy anything from these scammers. Purchased refurbished oxygen concentrator. 1st day it alerts to low purity which means under medical standards of 79%. Second day, same. Third day, I called and returned for replacement/repair. Came back 10 days later, turned it on and 15 minutes later same thing "low purity". This time I want to return it. They tell me it checked out when they sent it so I must be lying. I did return it and charged over $500 for restocking fee. Beware. Bought a concentrator on Sunday. They said it would ship Monday and I would have by Thursday. They did not giving me a tracking number. Nothing arrived Thursday, nor Friday, nor Saturday, nor Monday.... it finally arrived Thursday. I opened instantly. It was damaged (outer shell was cracked as was the casing behind a removable panel. I plugged it in and the service light came on and stayed on (the service light means it isn't and doesn't work). I called that same day Thursday, spoke with someone who sent me an email and I sent the proof of the pictures of problems. I was told I would get a call back on Friday with the shipping label to return the unit. Nothing happened on Friday. I called and they left me on hold so long I hung up. I called back second time, same thing. Never got to speak with anyone after I was transferred to customer care. Sent emails Friday because I oculdn't reach them. Called Saturday, I was told the person left early and no one was there to help, they would leave a message and someone would get back to me on Monday. Monday comes. Nothing. I call again. Now I want a refund and I want a shipping label to return this item. I am told that all sales are final. I will probably have to file a chargeback with the proof of the transaction to get the money back. And they will probably not send me a shipping label to return the unit and these units are considered dangerous toxic waste and are not to be discarded!!!! If you are still considering buying from them after this and all the other reviews keep reading. I only saw the reviews when I came here to post my experience,... hopefully you are wiser and came here BEFORE making the purchase. One thing you should take note of on their website. Lots of "options", but when you call they will sell you only one. They will give excuses as to why the one you want isn't available. They called le amd said that it had a rattling sound and tthey would need an additional $650 to fix. Since i did not drop it, i told them to send back. I paid $2,340 on Sunday October 6, 2024 for a refurbished Arya Go with a 16 cell battery and was told by the representative at the time, Jake, that I would have a 3 year extended warranty included with my purchase for this price. When I sent my port.concentrator in to be repaired I was not aware it was going to take over 8weeks. They need more people to repair them. I was not offered a backup till it was returned. Had I known this I would have gone for imogen. After starting to talk to the person on the phone about this, he tried to sell me something different because I wanted a different size battery and I was told that the machine I was looking at didn't take different size batteries I am glad I didn't purchase from this company earlier in the week I received several phone calls from them and when I spoke to someone about it and told them to leave me alone quit calling me that I've already been contacted several times a day. I was told not by me. I've opted out of their call back. They're still calling. Horrible experience. They initially sent a "new"ARYA O2 concentrator which was obviously used. It failed immediately and they replaced with another ARYA. This appeared new but after a year of light use it sounds like a tractor trailer and overheats. The sales dept. couldn't care less, told me to ship it back at my expense, wait six weeks (Really?) or upsell me another unit for additional 1900.00. Other issues were, never sending tubing or cannulas as promised and don't believe a word they tell you regarding Medicare reimbursement. Out of pocket 4000.00. My father who is 91 bought the Inogen 5 on July 10, 2021 from Sprylife in Denver, CO. We were thrilled to get the Veteran discount. In December it would not hold a charge, they paid $90 shipping and sent it to 1st Class Medical who Sprylife informed us to on December 16th. We received a call and they could not find anything wrong with it. When we received it back it still did not work so we sent it back immediately on January 15th. We received a call that the motherboard needs to be replaced. It is now February 8th, we called and were told they have no idea when it will be fixed and if we want another inogen we could pay for a loaner Inogen 3 for $290.00 non refundable. I'm starting with 3 stars and may very well update as the process with 1st Class Medical plays out. We purchased a portable Arya Mini over Labor Day this year on their "special" sale. Also ordered an extra battery and external charger. Total cost was $2740. First time we used the machine was 2 days after it arrived. I had placed a battery in it and plugged the unit in to charge the battery up the evening before. the machine was in use approximately 100 minutes and as we pulled into the drive, it stopped. I didn't think a lot about it as I thought maybe the battery had simply died and proceeded to just bring the machine in and waited for our next use. Fast forward to a week later, when we needed to use it again. As before I plugged the machine in to charge the evening prior, then disconnected it as we were ready to leave. The machine literally ran for 20 seconds and then shut down. As I hadn't charged the second battery, I assumed it wasn't ready to go so we traveled with mom's portable home oxygen tank (Very inconvenient!). I placed a phone call while at our appointment and spoke with Josh (he's also the one that sold me the unit). He told me to call back and ask for tech support when I had the machine close by. After returning home, I decided to try the second battery to see if anything changed with the operation of the unit. When I plugged the second battery in I noticed several new things. One was that after about 15 seconds, a battery icon popped up and showed how much charge was available on the battery. The first battery had only showed a plug icon and I had no idea that wasn't the norm. Also, when I turned the unit on, it showed me how much time was available on the battery. Wow, what a concept, as the first battery hadn't shown that either. So now I knew that the fix would be a bit simpler than a whole unit issue, I just needed a new, WORKING battery. So when I called today and spoke with tech support, this is also what she discovered, and I'm anticipating they'll send out a replacement and all will be well. Not quite though, because they're process is that they send out the replacement battery via UPS, but I have to be here when UPS arrives so that I can open the box, take out the replacement battery, put in the defective battery, change the label and then hand it back to the UPS guy. Seriously. It's like they don't trust me to receive the new battery, then when I GET HOME FROM WORK, put the defective battery in the box, relabel it and take it to my UPS dropoff spot. It's not like I have any use for this defective battery to lay around my house, and it's not like I would have called just to say my unit wasn't working so I could go through all this to get a "free" battery. My only other option was to return the defective battery, and then once 1st Class Medical received it, they would then send out the replacement battery to me, which would be 2 weeks or more turn around time. I really wish I had read all the other reviews here and on the Better Business Bureau site before purchasing from 1st Class Medical. The unit we have has loud popping sounds that are constant and rather annoying. I see some on the BBB site have complained about that also, and feel that the popping sounds might not be "the norm" but that's a battle I'm just not up to fighting at the moment. My mom is 91 and is recovering from a recent fall that broke her hip. This has been upsetting to her and I will refrain from telling her some of the things I've discovered by reading reviews of the business that she just spend over $2700 with. But 1st Class Medical, be advised that I'm not frail and I'm willing to spend as much time as I need to warn others off from your products. I was told first class only had two left and I needed to hurry up and buy one because they were going fast. I had no choice than to purchase one. When I received the car adapter I ordered I called to return it. I hadn't even open the box. I was told no accessories can be returned. They could not tell men when I would receive them. Every time you call, you have to wait an enormous amount of time to speak with your rep, if you get them at all. My rep was very friendly until we had a problem, then only offered excused with no results. We finally called again yesterday. Waited 15 minutes to talk to someone. Gave up and called the number to purchase a new product. Low and behold, they answered immediately. Coincidence I think not. The 2 items were now in and would be shipped out same day. Do yourself a favor and deal directly with the manufacture of the product you are interested in. My experience was awful. The product we purchased was Inogen 5. The unit was 2 months old when it caught a fire. We called and they said we would need to return it at our cost. $200 to ship to them and back to us. If we wanted a replacement until they fixed ours there was an additional cost (not disclosed at purchase when we ask about it). The unit lasted just over the 1 year warranty. They set us up with financing that was supposed to be 0% until paid. When I questioned the Credit card company they said that 1st class medical would have to call them. When I called 1st class medical they refused to call the credit card company and make it right. They claim 1-2 week turnaround but units usually have to go to factory for 4-6 weeks. Their contact information on the website is incorrect. Any repair is going to cost you $60 postage. They are unable to supply repair materials for home repair even though the manufacturer says that are available. Very disappointed in what could have been an easy fix. Customer Service is not a priority for this company, sales are the only thing that matters. I have very low lung function, on a BiPap, and after ordering a G5 from these folks over a year ago, they had all of my info on file. My first experience with them was not the best, but I'm one that believes that stuff happens. This time, my old home concentrator went out leaving me with nothing, so I called 1st Class, and the sales rep (the sales reps are always so charming and sweet and full of promises), says no problem, will send me this unit ASAP. So vague about the humidifier deal I was asking about because apparently it doesn't actually come with it I find out later but that's cool. So the unit arrives, I make due until it does. The unit does not work. My husband and I follow every instruction, more than once. We let it "rest" even. Tried again. So the next morning (after trying again), I call customer support. This is Wed, June 30th. The gal says, wow, you've done everything exactly right, to which I reply well yes, you have excellent directions and we read them. So she says, we'll need to get you a new unit, I'll call you back with the details. Mind you, I am now relying on my portable concentrator which you cannot use with my BiPap unit and I told her that so she would make sure and put a rush on whatever the decision was. Nope. No call back. Hospital Thursday. Again Friday. Friday when I get back home I call again, because no response (the number they have is my cell of course). Poor gal that answers tells me everyone is gone for the 4th. Then she says, well ma'am we sent you a unit, you received it this past Tuesday. Oh my. Yes, that was the BROKEN one. Still waiting for how I am supposed to get this back to you (they require special shipping instructions, etc) and when will I be getting a replacement so I can breathe? I tell her I've been hospitalized twice. Well ma'am they're all gone. Someone will call you back. Yeah, they did. Monday morning. Meanwhile I ordered one from another company, who didn't charge me shipping, because they wanted me to breathe. Oh, the unit they sent me? It works. Now, here's the best part. I ordered extra tubing for $20. When they FINALLY sent me the shipping instructions and everything, I sent EVERYTHING back to them. I had multiple conversations with Carlos. Explained everything to him. They not only charged me for the shipping, they kept my money I paid for the tubing and they have the tubing. Another good one? They promised UPS would be here on a Saturday to pick the unit up after I told them that doesn't happen here, so my husband stayed home, missed major OT opportunity. Nope, UPS showed up on Monday. I have tried multiple times to get these people to give me back ALL of my money but they won't. Simple fix. All they would have had to have done is return my call on Wednesday, simple fix. I do not recommend this place to anyone and they need to change their motto. Shipping and handling is on the customer no matter if the unit works or not. I believe that is extremely bad business. If the unit worked, it wouldn't have been shipped back. Not only that, they lied to the credit card company. They told them in the documentation that it arrived in "good working condition". Have only had my Inogen G3 for 6 days but like it very much so far. I have been testing it's night time sleep operation using my SPO2 recording oximeter. Last nights reading were pretty good with only a couple of drops below 88%. Will bump up to the next highest setting and check results tomorrow morning. We are going on a trip and this will be the only unit I will need for the trip. Delivery on this unit was extremely fast, ordered it on Wednesday and it was delivered on Monday. read more

I called and ordered on February 14, 2018, a Respironics Oxygen Concentrator from a man named Wes. I explained the need, that my wife needed this equipment to provide oxygen to her CPAP that she uses every evening. He told me they would ship tomorrow, February 15 and that they would send me an email with the tracking information. He also told me it would take 2-3 days to receive it once it was shipped. My credit card got charged that same day, February 14, 2018. I did not hear anything so on Monday, February 19, at 1:30 EST, I called to find out what was happening with the concentrator I ordered. I spoke to a lady who informed me that they did not have any in stock when I ordered it (even though they did not inform me when I ordered that they were out of stock). She said they had gotten word from the manufacturer that they were receiving some the next day, Tuesday, February 20, overnighted by the manufacturer. Excellent news except I believe they were out right lying to me (now anyway, not at the time). I waited until today, February 22, 2018 and still have not received a call or an email notifying me of shipment or any delay. So, I called at 4:21 EST to ask Wes on what the heck is going on. I talked to Wes and he aid it was not his area, the shipment of product so he passed me on to a woman. Guess what, I got the same exact story. They have not received any oxygen concentrators but they would be receiving the product from the manufacturer tomorrow and it would be shipped to me immediately. I complained that I was not informed of the product not being in stock when I ordered, but they had no problem charging my credit card even though they had not shipped the merchandise. I also told her that I had called on Monday and been told they had not received any stock but were told by the manufacturer they were overnighted and would be in the next day. Seems like a line of baloney to me. No apology, no concern that a woman needed this product. I could have tried to get it form a reputable supplier if I had been told. She asked me if I wanted to speak with her supervisor. I said yes. So I got passed to another man who again was not apologetic and after I got upset he just laughed at me. I asked if he thought that not telling me it was in stock, not following up with a call or email when they knew they couldn't ship, that there was still no follow up after I called on Monday and then again today and received the same line of getting a shipment in from the manufacturer, from an overnight shipment. LAUGHING, he thought I was funny in my complaint, even that they took my money when they could not supply the merchandise. I ended up hanging up after telling (demanding) that I get my money credited back TODAY. I don't know if it has been credited back yet but I told him I was going to call the Colorado Attorneys General with my story as no one runs a legitimate business, supplying medical equipment in such a bad manner. Our first experience with 1st Class Medical was okay. But our 2nd time renting a Portable Oxygen Concentrator left a bad taste. The unit arrived on time as promised. The packaging was very poor and the box tore bringing it into the house. The accessory bag for the extra battery and power cords was missing. They shipped one out overnight but it required a signature in person. So we had to make do with out it for our entire vacation. Half way through our rental period. The unit stopped charging the batteries on the continuous flow setting and would only charge on the pulse setting. But unfortunately we only came to figure that out through trial and error. I phoned the 800 number on the unit. I was told by the answering service that I would receive a call back. They didn't bother to say it would be the 28 hours later. When I received the return call the representative had a real rude attitude. I felt she was in CYA (cover your ass) mode. She was very defensive and 3 times asked what I wanted her to do for me.
