Do not use this guy! Came into our Home and talked like he was the God of helping make insurance companies pay for damages...not even close. Then he sub contracts our work to 3 older guys who all appear unhealthy and never make a deadline. When we complained about the work and sloppiness he tried to scold us like children and stated he was doing us a favor. We finally had to fire them and are now attempting to finished the work ourselves and keep finding more and more damage done by his subcontractors. After we fired him with a lot of work unfinished he tried to bill us the full amount of the contract. He never provided us receipts like we ask. We don't have money to lawyer up but I sure wish we did. read more

I paid $45,000 for Mark Carlisle Home Improvement to install a Trex boardwalk and dock on my…read moreproperty with a 5 year warranty for workmanship. I have had the deck for about 2 years now and am having a lot of trouble with it. At first my outdoor lighting that was on the boardwalk and dock started giving me problems. I had my lighting guys come out and they said all the outdoor, all-weather grade fasteners and fittings that they had put on were no longer on and causing all my problems. It turns out Mark Carlisle's crew who took the lights off to install the new boardwalk and dock threw those good fasteners and fittings away on the ground and replaced with cheap indoor fittings after I specifically told them to keep them and use them to put the lighting back on. That is the smaller problem. The big problem is that I was told the Trex fasteners were not available so they used screws to fasteners the Trex and now I am ha ing problems with warping and keeping the Trex secured. This is a tripping hazard and creates an unsafe condition. When i brought this to Mark's attention, at first he said he would replace the Trex and have the lights fixed back to original and now he is not doing that when we have a written 5 year warranty on the work. It is very disappointing and will probably have to go to court. Very unprofessional work done by the crew and a total disregard for the warranty that he guaranteed. I recommend not using this contractor for any home project as the crew did a terrible job and the person is completely dishonest. Avoid yourself the headache.
