Since my last review of 195 District Park, I've been back for The Providence Flea, The Guild PVD Beer Garden, and the food trucks. It is definitely nice to walk through 195 District Park.
The Providence Flea is located at 195 District Park across from 225 Dyer Street on Sundays from June to September 10am-3pm. The over 3,500 vendors are carefully selected, small- and micro-businesses. What I really enjoy is that you won't find anything mass-produced or licensed, or typically sold through groups, clubs, franchises or independent salespeople on a large scale. Mostly everything is homemade, handcrafted, and only in small batches. It is great to check out!
The Guild PVD Beer Garden is open (weather permitting) May through October Wednesday to Sunday. It is located in 195 District Park right by the Providence River Pedestrian Bridge. The beer garden allows people to come together in the park to enjoy a pint and some food while enjoying the sights of the city skyline. There are a few bench and cocktail tables, lawn games like cornhole and connect four, food trucks, and live music. The Guild hosts local musicians on Friday evenings. There are a few porta potties on the side. read more
