Finally got to try 1942 Restaurant, this new Mexican spot tucked away around the corner; and wow, it was absolutely worth the mini scavenger hunt. It's located in the far corner of a plaza behind another plaza, but don't let that deter you. Once you find it, you'll be glad you did. The décor is colorful, modern, and inviting. We were seated right away since it wasn't too busy, and the staff was friendly from the start. We were brought complimentary chips with salsa and what seemed like a cilantro cream sauce -- both packed with flavor and just the right touch of heat. I ordered the carnitas platter and my girlfriend went with the chicken burrito. The food came out quickly and everything was incredibly flavorful. Portions are very generous -- I took half of my meal home and was still full. The menu is massive with tons of tempting food options and some fantastic-looking drinks we can't wait to try next time. And speaking of next time... the patio is gorgeous, and we're already looking forward to coming back when the weather heats up so we can enjoy it. Great food, great portions, and genuinely nice staff. Definitely give this place a try - it's a hidden gem worth finding!

Delicious, plentiful Mexican food. Service was top notch too. Manager Hernan was so pleasant and polite. Waitress was good too. We met the owner and Carlos both very friendly. Colorful, friendly and clean. Thank you. Ladies from NY...

Super awesome Mexican food in a fabulous atmosphere with interesting spins in classic Mexican dishes. Service was on the spot in a Saturday afternoon. We had the place to ourselves almost. The Texas dip was delicious albeit a bit liquidy for a queso dip. Still great but I could have used a bib. Flavor was fantastic. Drink menu does not disappoint and I cannot wait to go back and try more! The coco azul margarita was yummy and coco nutty. Next time I will try the margarita flight! Hubbys chimichanga was the bomb. Even their rice was better than any other. Mexican place we visit. I have the Burritto California because instead of beans they put fries in it! I don't know if I loved the fries in there or not but overall it was super tasty! Can't wait to go back and take friends and family! Nice job folks! This is a winner!

How has no one reviewed this place yet?! First time checking out this new spot - best Mexican we've ever had, hands down. The Flautas del rancho had so much flavor and a little kick. The quesabirria was absolutely delicious - tender beef with lots of flavor. Chips, salsa, guac, rice, churros for dessert, and the amazing drinks - all delicious. We were super impressed and the staff was great! Totally attentive and friendly. Seems like they have a great time working together. It was packed when we came in (6 pm on a Friday in the summer, but we found seats at the bar with no problem). They said they're going to be starting a happy hour soon (1/2 price cocktails - can't beat that). We will definitely be back!

    Pizza Birria

My family and I always love Mexican food and this place was AMAZING. The pizzabirria was delicious to start and dunk in that birria sauce, so good as an appetizer but it's a lot of food, 8 slices. 4 of us split it. I had the special huge chimichanga without the hot sauce on top. It was supposed to have steak, chicken, and shrimp inside, but I asked for no shrimp and our waiter said ok extra gauc for you instead! MY FAVORITE. My mom has the Mango Shrimp and says "perfect amount of sauce, great flavor". Would highly recommend for a Mexican Restaurant in Naples! Indoor and outdoor seating.

Tacos al Pastor. There were 3 before we took the picture.

Finally, an excellent Mexican restaurant in the Naples/Bonita Springs area. We've lived here for several years, and have missed the Mexican food, we were able to get so easily in Texas and California; and trust me we've tried practically every restaurant in the area. We ordered the Tacos de Arrachera with rice and the Tacos a Pastor with beans. Everything was excellent. The meat was flavorful and tender, it had all the garnish you would expect in an authentic Mexican restaurant. The portions were very generous, and the prices are very reasonable. The hostess was friendly when we arrived and gave us the option of sitting inside, in an air-conditioned patio or outside by the pond. We chose to sit outside because it was a beautiful evening and the setting is just lovely. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. And we particularly liked the old school instrumental music that was playing outside. We will definitely be back and try other things on the menu, which looked to be very extensive. I highly recommend this lovely new restaurant.

    The Tropical Burrito

We dined here last week after it was recommended by a neighbor. We really enjoy Mexican food from every region and we were not disappointed with this experience. The food was absolutely fantastic! As a matter of fact it is now on our list of favorite Mexican food restaurants in the Naples area. From cocktails and margaritas, to appetizers, to main course, everything was well prepared. We went at a pretty slow hour, so the service was great as it wasn't too busy yet. Very friendly. The ambiance is really nice with a mix of modern and traditional. Very appealing. They have indoor, outdoor by the water and an enclosed patio that is very quaintly tiled. We chose the patio.

    Absolutely delicious!

Nice hidden gem off the main road. Absolutely delicious! Service was quick and the outdoor seating was great too. Incident was clean and spacious.

    Chicken Flautas del Rancho

My husband I tried this place and it did not disappoint. Being from California with the best Mexican food , we had yet been able to find Mexican food in Naples Florida that hit our high expectations. This place is AMAZING! We will be regular customers and my husband and I agreed this is our new favorite restaurant. The staff were super friendly and we had great service! The cocktails are also amazing.

This place is excellent! The food is amazing, the drinks are not watered down and taste delicious, and the people are very hardworking and on top of things. Highly recommend.

These folks understand the meaning of craft cocktails, complete with making as many of their own ingredients/mix-ins as possible. We were lucky as we were able to just walk in and pick any table we liked at 8pm on a Wednesday. I guess it can get quite busy at times. The chartreuse colored chairs and gorgeous stained glass lights told me instantly that we came to the right place. They have an extensive cocktail list, but that didn't stop me from ordering something not on the menu. They had no questions or problems making it. My spouse also ordered something not on the menu that was recommended to her by someone that had it once here before when it was one of their seasonal specials. Once again, not a challenge for these master bartenders. Everyone was upbeat and clearly enjoying what they do. Looking forward to getting back the next time I'm in Bonita.

The cocktail list is really well laid out, with lots of great options and perfectly executed cocktails. The service is great- very upscale. I also really enjoyed that there's live entertainment. The night we were there it was a duo singing 90's songs and playing guitars. My ONLY complaint is the juxtaposition of the chill vibe and the alarmingly loud music. The whole place is maybe 400-500sqft and the equipment was at a volume like they were playing to a room of 1000 people. We were in the furthest corner from the musicians and it was still way too loud- it messed with the vibe of the place. I looked over at a poor sap sitting right next to them - he was completely detached from his party's conversation because he couldn't hear anything but this music blasting him in the face. Recap: - Vibe - incredible, cozy, upscale - service - excellent, professional - music artists - talented, great song choices - music volume- absurd, counterproductive to essence of the place.

Food is really creative, but many of the dishes are just ungodly sweet. Charred kale salad was probably the best kale salad I ever had, perfectly delicious and highly recommended. The roasted Brussels sprouts, on another hand, were really, really sweet. The French toast with duck was really creative, but again, really, really, sweet. Seafood fried rice was excellent, very tasty. The "cinnamon roll" desert was just a riot. It was huge in size and delicious to the last morsel. Excellent service, prompt and attentive. Recommended, but if you don't like sweet cuisine, you will need to be careful with your choice.

-- A Rooftop Gem Where You Feel Like Family…read more I'll be upfront -- I have social anxiety, and crowds can be genuinely overwhelming for me. My first evening up at Tigress's rooftop, I walked into a packed house with no reservation, and it was simply too much. Rather than give up, I called the restaurant shortly before close and asked about reserving a table for the following night. Just one person. What happened next genuinely surprised me. They were absolutely fabulous. Not only did they accommodate me without hesitation, they reserved me a spot in the bar area and had it ready the moment I arrived. The second I stepped off that elevator, I was greeted by name, welcomed warmly, and made to feel like I belonged there. It wasn't a restaurant experience -- it was a Cheers experience. You know the show. That's exactly what it felt like. Service was prompt and attentive from the start. My drink order was taken and delivered quickly, and when I asked for a menu recommendation, the staff guided me toward their signature crab fried rice -- and I am so glad they did. This dish is unlike anything I've had at any Thai restaurant, and I've had crab fried rice at quite a few. The blend of ingredients Tigress uses is truly special. Every element comes together in a way that feels almost magical. Worth every single penny. I've seen a few complaints about pricing, but when you consider the quality of ingredients that must go into this dish and the skill required to execute it -- the price is more than fair. Sincere applause to the entire staff for their grace and kindness. A standing ovation to the chef on duty that evening, and deep gratitude to the executive chef who curated this menu. And special recognition to the bar team -- their craft cocktails are clearly designed to complement the food beautifully. I will absolutely be back. Tigress has earned a loyal guest.

Both our meals last night were rather disappointing. My wife's "medium" burger came out well done and very dry. The onion rings were solid. I got one of the specials which was a shrimp and crab gumbo. Had very little seasoning and did not taste Cajun at all. The shrimp were the tiny bay shrimp which I am not a fan of. I did not initially see any crab but when I used the camera light in my phone I spotted a few white slivers of crab. Less than 1/2 ounce in total. The garlic bread was solid. Finally, my 30 plus member cigar club, from the Venice FL area decided to make a road trip to Naples, specifically to visit The Burn. Twelve of us made a caravan and left Venice, driving to Naples. We arrived and had no trouble finding nearby parking for all of our vehicles. After parking we entered the lounge finding it to be quite large, with a nice bar, humidor and an outside patio too. We entered the humidor and found a staffer who offered suggestions, cut our cigars and even offered to light them for us. We paid him right there and stuffed his tip jar - that was awesome service. We then gathered in the main room of the lounge and began our cigar tasting while enjoying a few Old Fashion whiskey drinks. Then six of us wandered out to the patio and grabbed a nice large table. The bartenders were fast and service was okay. The servers were awesome, prompt and very attentive to our tables - efficient is a great description. We stayed until about 6 PM and then headed home. It was a very enjoyable adventure. I understand Rocky actually has a birthday there on March 10, 2026. Hopefully I can attend.
