The space is elegant with 3 rooms to explore. The front room opens up to showcase an immense wine rack full of rare and quality wines complete with sliding ladder to access top-shelf picks. The small bar by the register provides an intimate space to enjoy a glass with someone special and even enjoy a few pours straight from a tap. They even have a beer fridge full of craft brews that put your standard buds to shame. The middle room is home to an expansive humidor brimming with quality, hand-crafted cigars all stored at the perfect humidity level. The smell inside was enticing and inviting with a variety that would rival even the most lavish lounges. The final room is where you finally get to relax and enjoy yourself with a little home away from home. The actual lounge is the textbook definition of comfort. There are plenty of seating options from couches to plush chairs and even a group table to socialize around. I was so impressed by the lounge and the soothing background music only added to the ambiance. Finally, what would a cigar lounge be without the expertise and hospitality of its Tobacconist? Gary is an awesome human being with a warm demeanor that welcomes everyone in and makes them feel like family. Affectionately nicknamed Cigar Jesus because of his long hair he certainly lives up to the name and we always will be back to this location. Both for Gary, and the amazing environment he fosters for the cigar community!

I visited Bolts and Brews for a group run 5K…read more When I drove up, I never suspected that I could get a mimosa, wine, or beer at a hardware store. The hardware store even has a post office inside, so it's truly a one-stop-shop here. The outdoor area is gorgeous and filled with plants- and the plants are also for sale. I'm sure some customers spend a good bit on making their yards beautiful after a few beers. There's ample seating, with tons of chairs, small tables for groups of 2-3, and picnic tables. A food truck was there serving smash burgers, and I believe they have a rotation of food trucks since they don't serve food. Bolts and Brews is limited to beer and wine (no liquor), but you'll find plenty to drink. Draft beers are limited but marked on the menu. Many of the beers are canned, and you'll find local favorite breweries (Edmunds Oast, Snafu, Holy City) as well as a lot of beers from breweries in other states. This is the beauty of being mostly a canned beer spot. They also do flights of mimosas and at the time, offered a full six flavors of mimosa. I had a mimosa with a mixture of peach and mango juice, which the friendly beer-tender recommended. It was a good pour for only $6 and hit the spot after a VERY hot 5K in one of the neighborhoods nearby. You can grab a beer here after buying plants or shopping in the hardware store- and folks do- but Bolts and Brews is also a destination with comedy nights, bingo (the prizes are plants), sip and paint night, and live music on Fridays. The folks who manage this spot have really transformed it from a hardware store to a place where the community can gather. If Fleet Feet hadn't co-hosted the fun run/walk 5K with them, I wouldn't have known about Bolts and Brews, but I'm glad I do. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular here.

First off, it's not busy so you can easily walk in without a reservation. Next is that you get to experience more of the fun items on the menu that you don't order when you go to a big dinner. And lastly, I can spend fifty bucks on an amazing meal instead of $300. I'm still going to plan fancy dinners there for wonderful steaks, sides, and wine, but this casual early dinner is an overlooked option. This time around we had the wedge salad which they split on to two plates for us making it easy to share. I loved the whole strip of crispy bacon on top too. We also tried the stuffed mushrooms and the steak nachos. The stuffed mushrooms were fine, but not a favorite item so I may not get them again. The star of the show were the nachos! They didn't skimp on any of the ingredients and had a big scoop of guac and sour cream on the plus there was probably a whole steak cut up and spread throughout. The nachos are a must have. Next time I need to try the burger or the hot dog and report back.

The tartare was excellent! The oysters had a strange taste that I was not a fan of. However, I do want to mention my dirty martini was phenomenal!! For my entree, I ordered the 8oz filet mignon, medium-rare. As soon as the server put the plate in front of me, they whipped out a flashlight, shined it on my plate and asked me to cut into the middle of the steak to ensure it was cooked correctly. This bothered me for multiple reasons: 1.) for a restaurant of this caliber, I would expect the chef to know if my steak is cooked correctly and 2.) I like to cut into my steak at the end not the middle. It was cooked correctly but it was not as juicy/flavorful as I hoped it would be. The sides for our table were the most impressive part of my meal; perfect mashed potatoes and probably one of the best creamed spinaches I've ever had! Oddly enough, it was more crunchy than creamy but somehow it worked and tasted delicious. I've had both better and worse steakhouse experiences but at this price point, I expected just a tad bit better. I would still recommend checking this place out and deciding for yourself ;)
