We really enjoyed our stay, the location is amazing! There are shops, restaurants, and bars within walking distance. Our room was on the first floor, nice historic exposed brick wall, super comfortable and clean bed.

i'm coming back. This place is the best I came for work. I enjoyed my stay. I couldn't wait to get off work just to come back and hang out. I was very comfortable, it felt very cozy. Everything about the decor, feels warm and inviting. the gentleman at the desk, when I walked in the door, he said you must be Miss... applause

    Neat and clean.

The 1857 Hotel is a first-rate boutique hotel located in a freshly refurbished warehouse block along the riverfront in Paducah, Kentucky. Rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious. Rates are extremely reasonable for the quality of the accommodations. Just up the street from the hotel are several up-scale restaurants, bars and brewpubs. Several shops - bbq supplies, antiques, gifts - are within easy walking distance. The riverfront is one block away. Just down the street are several museums and a performing arts center. In short, the 1857 Hotel is a cool place in a cool neighborhood. Lots to see and do. A GREAT PLACE TO SPEND THE NIGHT! IMPORTANT: Book reservations beforehand. Only ten rooms are available and this popular hotel fills to capacity almost every night.

From the time we got there till the time we left each and every staff member was fabulous. It was very refreshing to have staff members, friendly, smiling and happy. This is being written April 2026. They are remodeling the first floor so we stayed on the second floor. Our room was extremely nice. Very clean and I am very picky. Our room looks to have been completely remodeled within the last 2 to 3 months... The Auburn is conveniently located next to a exit ramp. You don't have to go search for it in a conglomeration of industrial area. They have a very nice restaurant attached Rafferty's excellent food also other restaurants and gas stations nearby along with a brand new coffee shop.

We had a dog with us and we're down in Paducah getting medical treatments. They have a reasonable rate of $89 plus $25 fee for a dog. The construction wasn't an issue at all as they don't start until 8 o'clock, and they finish by 3 PM. Even when we stayed in our room during the day, we never really heard any construction. The hotel was nice. Staff was really nice. The only issues we had were low flow showerheads and that it took a long time for hot water in the morning. Also only limited television channels (16). Don't go off of the old pictures. The rooms that are remodeled are beautiful and spacious. The beds weren't the most comfortable but much better than some hotels that we've stayed at. The breakfast was lacking. The pancake machine did not cook the pancakes through and they were rubbery and uneatable. The coffee cups are too small and the utensils are plastic and so flexible that you couldn't even use them. They would do well to buy a coffee machine that grinds the coffee beans and disperses it like other hotels. While we were there, the lady that was in charge ran out of hot coffee. That wouldn't be a problem if they'd have that. All in all they put down his Tylenol. All in all a great place to stay.

There was plenty of room for additional seating. The hotel is very dog friendly which we appreciated. As always, Drury Inn has a serviceable hot breakfast and evening happy hour and meal but we did not use the happy hour amenities this trip. The staff are exceptionally friendly. The reason for the 3 star review is there is only ONE elevator for this entire hotel and it is IN DESPERATE NEED OF MAINTENANCE. There were guests in the hotel with very unruly children that were playing in it and that is no fault of the hotel, but overall the elevator was very scary to be on, almost breaking down the limited amount of times we used it. There is no service elevator which makes it incredibly difficult for the housekeeping staff to navigate the hotel efficiently. The hotel appears to have plenty of business to afford the installation of another elevator. We will not return to this hotel because of the elevator. If you have mobility issues, consider the Drury Inn across the interstate from this one.

On the 2nd floor is another unlocked, uncovered door that has a balcony butted up to yours. You could step over and be in your space. Not comfortable with that. 2 flights of stairs straight up to get to the 2nd floor and another flight to get to the bedrooms. With the Orgy shower sitting right in the middle of the floor between the 2 bedrooms was a little P Diddy for us regular folks. All the track lights makes it hard to find their cameras. CREEPY The beds were comfortable and the place was clean as a pin. That is what the 2 stars are for. There is no breakfast and the bar is a joke at best. Why people lie about live entertainment blows me away. It looked like an old Folks home TV room. They advertise a pool table. It is a private table and on the 3rd floor of the Trifecta room. No access for other customers. The pool room butts up to the P Diddy bedroom. Balls were broke and hollering went on til very late. The lady who they say is an owner(that's what this site says) gave me a very furred brow when I ask about the advertised table and where it was. (To say rude would be fair) I knew there was a pool adjacent to my bedroom because I heard it til late. Lastly... we were there on a Monday and nothing was opened. NOTHING!!!!! So for this business to advertise that other places are in walking distance is again very misleading. First off PIGGY BACKING off other businesses with your baseless claims of availability is a bit fraudulent. This whole thing is misleading. There was NO parking for us behind a condo. We had to park on the street and haul our stuff a city block before we started the multiple flights of stairs to the room. As town was dead this was still unacceptable as it is clearly stated on the site that parking was available and free. If town had anything going on we would have had NOWHERE to park.. When we arrived there had been an error made somewhere between Expedia and the Hotel. We were going to have to move rooms. There was no way that was going to happen. The young man on 2nd shift worked very quickly to get that second night cancelled and was very professional about the error. That is what 1 star is for. Just not my jam and after reading the other comments I would never try any of these other rooms either. Safety first. Lipstick on a pig is still a pig.

Staff was all pleasant and constantly checking in on me to see what I needed if anything. The hotel is newer and still presents as such. The room I was upgraded to had a balcony with view of river. The bathroom could use more bars to hang towels and clothing as there are only 2 hangers on the bathroom door and that's all. Breakfast is not included unless you specifically book with it. It may be better to just pay for it outright depending on the number of guests in your party. There is plenty of parking around the hotel and you can enter thru side doors with room key. I loved the cleanliness of the hotel facilities, my room, and the ice machine area. All of this matters to me when I'm staying somewhere. Amethyst was so sweet when we checked in and cheerful. We usually stay at Hiltons so we chose this Hampton. Luckily we did not arrive to late so we had time to settle in and make it somewhere to eat dinner. After we settled in our room, we decided to check out the lobby area for a little. They have a little market, which is oddly placed behind the front desk counter. We grabbed a couple of beers and decided to sit at one of the tables to relax. The front desk person came up to us after he was done assisting all these other people and informed us the beers were on him. I thought that was so kind! When we returned from dinner, we decided to grab some beers and sit in the lobby again. There was a different front desk person but we did not interact with her as much due to her being in the back. The hotel overall gives an outdated vibe-in the room and lobby. We did make it for breakfast and there was a decent selection of items. Unfortunately, when I was attempting to grab another cup of coffee when I was done with breakfast, the canister was empty. Someone asked a staff member about putting a fresh container of coffee out and she went to brew it immediately. It still took about 15 minutes but we appreciated the immediate assistance. It was not done in vain because there was four of us waiting. I did not use the shower because the shower had mold and some parts did not look safe or clean. Like I said, a renovation definitely needs to happen here. The staff were great in all experiences. I even made it a point to compliment the front desk woman in the morning because she was dealing with several rude assholes and she did not deserve that.
