I've been here 3 or 4 times now. I usually stop in while visiting Fort Worth for work. Usually…read morehave a cigar and 2 glasses of bourbon and sit outside. I've sat inside once and had a great conversation with another guy who is an engineer and from out of town. It gets pretty busy during Sunday night football. People wear their jerseys. Waitstaff is super nice and attentive. They are also wizards at lighting cigars. Rose is probably my favorite there. Cigars are reasonably priced with something for everyone. The checkout experience is quick and seamless. They have someone in the humidor with you answering questions. I was shocked at how deep one of the waitstaff was on the brands. I'm not sure what you call a cigar expert. There has to be a slick french name out there for it. Bourbon menu is a nice size. Drink prices are very reasonable. They don't serve any food yet. Can't wait to go back next month.

Enjoyed an Atabey Cigar with scotch. Located right in the core of Fourth Worth Texas. Service by Molly was nice and humidor is kept the chatsin excellent condition. One light and I smoked for an hour straight. The area has plenty to see, a huge plus, but I'm from New York so I want comfy chairs and all the extras ;)

The premise of the event was super engaging. We got to mingle with suspects, search for clues, and try to figure out "whodunnit" while exploring the venue. One of the best parts about Thompson's is the venue itself. The experience spans across all four distinct floors (from the main speakeasy level up to the cigar lounge), and each floor has its own unique vibe and personality that made hunting for clues even more entertaining. As for the drinks, the whiskey sour was top-notch. It hit the spot while we were busy playing detective. The bar was kept fairly clean throughout the night. The employees were super friendly, and kept the drinks flowing smoothly despite the event crowd. We were able to grab some street parking nearby, but if you can't find a spot right out front, there are plenty of paid parking lots in the immediate area. I highly recommend keeping an eye out for their special events!

We also had one of their unique cocktails which had a butterscotch taste. It was good. I walked through the cigar bar which is on the small side. Felt a little cramped compared to the other cigar bar downtown. We had a few drinks and went to leave. We found 4 additional bourbon drinks added to our tab. We knew nobody in our group was drinking that drink at all. We argued with the bartender and he refused to take it off. It left a sour taste in our mouth and $50+ lighter in the wallet. Bartender must have put someone else's drinks on our tab. Frustrating.

Yelp Elite Event…read more... I tell you, Kendall, once again, you put together such a wonderful evening. It is always wonderful to see our Elite Family. I love West Jax! The environment is relaxing and classy, and it was the perfect place for a night out. Customer Service: Always top-notch! Brittney, our server, was always present and was able to help me choose the perfect drink that matched what I desired. I wanted a Whiskey Sour, and because they did not have that on the menu, she suggested the Smoked Rosemary Blackberry Bourbon Sour. She was spot on; it was delicious, and it was my first time to have a smoked drink. It was different, and every drop was enjoyed. Our entertainment for the evening was Clover the Violinist. She is FULL of talent and kept our tunes going the whole night; she perfectly mastered all genres. I was happy to find out, she plays at that location occasionally. I'd love to support her, when able. She played a bit of SZA, Justin Beiber, Chris Brown, Chris Stapleton, etc. What a great night of entertainment! The Food: Crave Cookies - Thank you, Crave. I appreciate you adding to our beautiful night with your cookies. Perrotti's Pizza: Thank you, Perrotti's. I appreciate you treating us to pizza! What a great night!!

We each got smoked old fashioned's and both were really good, very strong, and with good flavor. I'd definitely come back again later in the evening to see what the vibe is like later at night, as I've heard that they have a DJ during late night. I also like that there's a parking lot in the back.

We ordered the meatball appetizer, a chicken finger kids entree for our daughter, a sushi appetizer for our son and my husband and I split an 8 Oz filet topped with mushrooms, served with a side of mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. The meatballs were delicious. Tender, warm and came out suprisingly quick. The steak was cooked well but was underseasoned. Kind of a bummer considering the price. The mushrooms on top were okay but just okay. And the mash potatoes were runny, not sure if too much butter was added but it was eh. All of the entrees came out barely warm... our sons sushi roll had to get remade, which they apologized for. And our daughters chicken fingers were... Tyson chicken fingers. For dessert they gave us a butter cake with ice cream. And we ordered the lemon cake for the kids to split. The lemon cake was mushy and huge. The cake itself was kind of gross, and the icing was way too sweet. The kiddos took the rest of our butter cake. The restaurant itself was pretty, but the layout is awkward, people are constantly moving aside just so you can walk through tight spaces. I told my husband not to tell me the price. It just was nothing special. We decided after 2 visits we'll skip next time. The price just isn't worth the taste.
