I'll be staying in the lodge for the end of my trip but the restaurant is good. Country store has all your gear and poughy bait, ice and fire wood. There's zip lining on site and watching a group go it's really fun. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Compared to some of the national parks I've visited, this is much nicer. Really glad I can't up here for the week to unwind.

This hampered our enjoyment considerably because it was difficult planning our days to research the area for things to do. We had to make 2-3 daily trips to the office to connect to WiFi. If I parked even 100' away from the office there was no service. And don't expect GPS accuracy. We often went into town about 8 miles away, but we were detoured a few times in the wrong direction trying to make our way back to the park - not the parks fault. If you have a mobile router, you will be fine and be able to enjoy all that Lookout Mountain has to offer.

So this was my second time coming here, after coming up with friends two weeks ago and having a…read moreblast. This place is certainly up in the middle of nowhere Blue Ridge but worth the trip. You'll find deeper water here and less spots to get stuck. There is a huge grassy parking lot across the street from the ticket office, with an underpass (walkway under the highway) to safely cross. The only issue with the grassy field is the amount of flies and bugs over in it, so I'd suggest doing all your pre-tubing stuff in the tubing parking lot (sunscreen application, changing, etc). This place is an actual campground for RVs, Campers and tents. It's actually pretty nice, if you're looking to camp. Plus, you have a tubing place onsite! They have two types of tubes: ones with a hole so your butt gets wet and ones with a hole and cover at the bottom (no wet butt). They also have kayaks available, which might be something I get next time. The life jackets are required for each person but you can use them to anchor each persons tube to another tube. Cost was super cheap (I think it was $8 a person?). The drop in is easy and it's about a 2 hour tubing trip. Very scenic, cleaner water than you'll find closer to Atlanta, deeper, colder and less spots to get stuck. They have a pickup spot just before a bridge on the left hand side of the river, with short buses running about every 15 minutes or so. There is no alcohol or coolers allowed, or cans/bottles allowed on the river. You can bring a 32oz container with a "drink" in it. Yes, genius, loophole. My recommendation is to bring a dry sack with you and attach it to your tube ... you can put sunscreen, change of clothes, etc . The river water is very cold and can keep your "drink" cold. I had a blast both times! Be very weary of huge rocks you can't see in the river where the rapids are. They can certainly cut up your legs and also hurt your butt if you have it in the water during the faster rapids. Will certainly recommend this spot to others and come back. Wish it were a little closer!

Get there and was greeted by Miss Jesse She is the perfect picture of southern hospitality and genuine southern charm, a real champ and blessing to have met. She let me ride her horse ~ "Faith" she was a sweetheart They have 7 horses to choose from based on your style of ride. The Farm Owner is so cool, just a perfect gentleman and loving guy ~ Harold, who came along for the ride and showed me his place. 175 acres of Tennessee's finest land tucked away in the back mountains with Black Angus grazing the land, oh and one special brown Jersey named "Amy" Breath taking views, 2 ponds with a really cool tree forest next to them. I got the blessing of having both Jess and Harold to guide me giving me the lay out of the land. Horses were great, beautiful animals because of course Jesse takes care of them like their her babies They do events there too - weddings, church services, family gatherings due to the beauty of the place. I recommend this place and will go back. There's nothing like being around folks who you feel like you've known for years - that's Jesse and Harold Lastly, the charge was $30 bucks for an hour which beats all of the rest big time and Jesse went over the time too on the trail ride. We did enjoy tubing, but we bought our own from Walmart for much cheaper and since we were staying here, it was free and we just signed a waver. Beware of snakes though, there's a lot of them! We got floats with netted bottoms to keep them from trying to take a ride with us. Fishing was far more enjoyable. We caught catfish, alligator gar, sheepshead, little bass, and more. Use small tackle and don't expect a fish fry!

The building near the playground is going to fall any day. There's no maintenance kept up on anything. The slide literally fell, the picnic tables was almost down the hill. I hope they take reviews seriously but considering looking at the other reviews it's the same as it always has been and they changed nothing sadly.

The cave exploration is definitely an adventure and challenging and pushes you to the limit while being guided by experienced guides. Our cave guides were Tristan and Emily and both were very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable of the cave and their experience definitely made what would have otherwise been a very frustrating and difficult task a fun and truly memorable experience. Tip: you can bring your phone if you aren't afraid to possibly damage or lose it as you will be crawling and squeezing through many parts of the adventure. 5 stars for the cave adventure and 5 stars for the campgrounds. The Manager confronted us at our campsite after we complained about a parking issue. She brought 3 staff members to our camper. She instructed one staff member to turn on her body camera after and film us. True story folks! We came to Chattanooga for a race. I would never return. We packed up and left immediately. I felt unsafe at this campground. I do NOT recommend.
