1650 is a lovely quirky coffee shop with amazing views of the sea (if there are no parked cars blocking it). The specialty hot chocolate is to die for and the owner bakes a wonderful selection of cakes, biscuits, scones and bread. There is also a divine selection of paninis and soup on the lunch menu. The toilet is a bit of a hassle to get to. You have to go up to the counter and ask for the key, and then go out of the café and down an alleyway to the locked toilet door. I personally dislike doing this because the alleyway is really creepy. Overall, everything is superb and I love coming here. If you get there before the crowds do, you can sit in the window on really comfy sofas and watch the world go by while you drink your coffee. read more
