It's been years since I visited a haunted house but after my friend scored some tickets from a bingo night prize, we decided to stop by on a Thursday night. The haunted house is located in an old warehouse in northwest Houston. There's ample parking and a security check point before entering the main line. Guests are required to go through metal detectors and show the contents of their purses and pockets before proceeding which honestly made me feel better before going into a large dark warehouse with a bunch of strangers. After making the 30ish minute drive from central Houston, it was nice to have several porta potties with handwashing sinks available before possible moments of peak adrenaline (iykyk). We also decided to grab a quick adult beverage at the food truck outside while waiting in line. My friends got whiteclaws and I opted for the featured margarita ($13). There was a little bit of a line when we arrived, however they do a good job of keeping guests entertained with several costumed features wandering among the queue to help set the mood. Once you past the door, they take a quick photo of your group which is available for purchase at the end. Then it was time for the haunted house! The maze winds through dark twists and turns, leading into a series of terrifying rooms filled with gory scenes, disorienting mirrors, and eerie optical illusions that keep you constantly on edge. Costumed creatures lurk around the corner, springing out when you least expect it - and sometimes chasing you down - to quite literally, keep you on your toes. I'm not a huge screamer or someone who gets freaked out easily but it was a lot of fun to be immersed in this totally different environment. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and it really set the mood for the holiday yet to come. read more

I don't understand the name if there isn't even a 2nd floor let alone a 13th floor. It's all just on ground floor. A lot of the google reviews are essentially fake. They give you a discount if you give them 5 stars. It's still a decent haunted house to visit but I've been to better. I've heard about this one throughout my whole time living in Texas and I was a bit disappointed on my experience compared to better ones like Toluca Ranch. read more

Fun evening, but not scary. The actors were great, their make up was spot on, and they have a good show in and out of the haunt. Loved all the photo ops outside of the house. You can tell thru put a lot of money into the haunt, but it wasn't scary, at least not to me. In their defense, I grew up on horror movies and was part of Houston Zombie Walk, so I don't scare easily. My friend purchased tickets to the speak easy inside the haunt. Came here for the first time with my family. We got the "Skip the Line" passes. Yes, a bit more expensive, but it's worth it. The lines were really long, but we literally cut in front of everyone. Just remember, it's not the same as the "Fast Pass." We're not from the Cypress area and it took us about 2hrs to drive here so we wanted to get in and out. Please remember that most, if not, all haunted attractions are pretty pricey. This place is priced similar, but I feel you get a better experience. I LOVE Halloween and I've been to tons of attractions spending all my life savings away lol. They tend to get redundant and predictable. This is basically 3 different themes all in one massive haunted house attraction. Probably the largest walkthrough that I've ever been to. I would like to see staff space out the groups as we enter because we ended up getting jammed up with customers behind and in front of us and we went in separately. This attraction has a mix of dizzy and/or abnormal pathways so just be prepared. If you don't scare easily like me, this ISN'T scary at all, buuuut it's still fun to go through. If you're a scaredy cat, then you'll die in here lol nah jk. The characters won't touch you so don't be hitting them. They also have an escape room and a zombie gel-ball shooting attraction. Overall, definitely worth experiencing once. Staff are friendly and fun. It's a 1 story building and not on the 13th floor lol. Buy your tickets online and sign your waiver because they don't have a ticket booth. You don't have to wear shoes, but there are parts of this attraction that has abnormal pathways that might make you lose your sandals or heels. There is a lot of parking. There are metal detectors so make sure you're not bringing in anything you're not to bring in. They even ask you to empty out your pockets. There are few food stands and they have a gift shop. They have characters scary customer as you wait outside and have some cool decor to take personal pics with. read more

13th floor was awesome this year. I can't lie, I was a bit hesitant because to be honest, I wasn't impressed last year. But this year, we were actually RUNNING for our lives. We were terrified in the best way. A haunted house has never scared me like this one. They have a bar on the other side of the house, as well as a food truck on the outside, which makes it a very well rounded experience. I'm writing this as I head home from the 13th Floor experience .. Ehhh it was ok...not very many actors inside mostly props and animotronics ...paid 81$ plus additional 8$ for 3 (Which came up to 30$!!) of us to do zombie apocalypse where we shoot at so called zombies NOT WORTH IT AT ALL! The soft air guns kept jamming so you had to shake them while shooting...the 2 zombies were not interactive at all just walked back and forth...after waiting 2hrs for that ?!? . The pros, yea I guess the 81$ to skip line was worth it cause the line stretched around corners ....but once inside the maybe 20min walk thru wasn't worth the price . For the advertisement and those of us who drive 55mins or more to experience this haunted house in my opinion is not worth it! The dressed up actors outside the haunted house were good and fun to interact with n take pics with. If this is one of the BEST so called haunted houses Houston has to offer....then I guess I'll have to lower my standards quite a bit ! Will skip next year and try others :( read more

Just went tonight and had a ton of fun. It's about a 15-20 min walk thru the haunted house. Lots of scare actors. Very well themed rooms with animatronics. I got tickets on sale for $15 so it was Deff worth it. Some of the walk ways are almost pitch black and the scare actors take advantage of that. Lots of jump scares. read more

13th Floor Haunted Houses always have pretty impressive set ups, and I've been to a couple of them to include Baton Rouge (13th Gate), San Antonio, Colorado, and Houston. You can tell they put a lot of thought and effort into the set ups and props. This season, I'd say they rank #2 in terms of Houston Haunts, with Creepy Hollow being my #1. Pro tip, if you have a Costco membership, buy the bundle pack there and save some money! Staff here is okay, they definitely could have used more actors. I do not recommend paying extra for the Zombie Apocalypse shooting activity- that was super lame and the guns kept on jamming. The haunted house itself was a good experience though, and I would recommend it. read more

I used to be a general manager for a haunt in N. California. I have been going to haunts since the mid 80s. This is one of the BEST haunts I've been to. While nothing quite compares to my old haunt, which was cramped, dirty, scary, twisty and seemingly dangerous, this one is well orchestrated and full of actors that pop out. Some are obvious, but most are downright scream inducing. There are so many sound and lighting effects. The scenes are amazing. Twisty and turn after turn, it's a true labyrinth of terror. Huge monsters that lurch and growl, zombies, witches, pig men, chainsaw-wielding maniacs, creatures, clowns, and so much more. My 1st experience was in 2022. Then I went back for Love Bites in Feb and Halfway to Halloween in June. It's always just as spooky and I love that they have events throughout the year. The 2023 season is the best so far. There are more creatures lurching at you than ever before. It's really amazing. They have an awesome bar, a zombie shooting range, mini escape rooms, ax throwing, a decent food truck, free photo ops, a fantastic gift shop, and great creatures lurking amongst the crowd out front to really put you in the mood. So worth the wait and a great value. If you like to scare, it would be a really fun place to work. There's tons of info on their web site, but they are slow to announce dates. Came here with a party and everything was well organized. From the flow of the line to the flow of the walk thru in the haunted house. We came on a Saturday night and even though it was a lot of people, the organization helped to make things flow better. Once inside the haunted house, you are told not to take any pictures or videos and this is strictly enforced as I've seen several of the characters approach people that were recording or taking pics. There was a lot of shock factor as characters were jumping out randomly scaring people. We spent about an hour there. From the haunted house, getting merchandise to doing the escape room. They have an adult bar lounge area which is nice for adults to take a break and the portable potties and portable sink was convenient and clean. read more

This was a great experience. Tickets and times were booked online. When you show up, they scan your phone and then get in line. We booked the first times available so we wouldn't have to wait long. So we arrived at 7:10 and got thru the entire experience by 7:50ish. The time in the haunted house was around 25 min, so it was worth it. Plenty of good scares, scenes and even a maze. If you like this stuff, I recommend it! When we left the lines were already much longer, so I'm sure the wait times were significantly longer then what we experienced. read more

The only reason I'm giving it one star is because at some moments I was actually scared by the people. But it was done in the blink of an eye. I went last night while yes I was aware it was going to rain you would think paying $40 per ticket you would at least accommodate the people in line. Mind you we had to choose a time slot what was the purpose of getting my ticket for 10 if we didn't get let in until 11:42pm they made majority people wait in the pouring rain no tent over or anything and as I get inside I asked a girl for napkins to wipe off my glasses so I could see to enjoy the experience and she told me no and to keep moving, I said that's not nice seeing that I was just waiting in the rain her response was they didn't know that and that's my fault for standing there and to get out of her face, which I wasn't anywhere near her. Just honestly rude asf. It lasted for two damn seconds anyhow. I didn't even get to enjoy the experience because I was being rushed and I was literally dripping with rain water. I will never be back here. And I'm sure yall lost a lot of other customers as well after last night. The other workers were still kind and one even cleaned my glasses. But that one girl with the long dark hair about 5'0 not in costume let her go. YALL should have been better prepared for weather like that especially being in Houston at this time of year. read more

the lines are longer than the actual haunted house. plus it's not scary. there was so much people inside of the haunted house we had about 8+ infront of us and by the time it got to us the scare actors didn't even scare us they just stood there. and then the people infront of us kept stopping randomly. i think they should limit the amount of people that go in at the same time because that was horrible. read more

Took the girls to 13th floor on a whim on Halloween we give 2.5 / 5 for scares, 1.5 / 5 for price to scares and 3.5 / for organization. The characters are a bit more reserved than Scream World. It is a lot longer walk through than scream world with more carnival like mechanical scares. It was pretty good for the standard rate but we paid the no line price which was about $65 each with tax and fees. The girls had fun so it was worth it. Boo read more

This was an amazing experience for both me and my family. Though I do not recommend bringing children 6 and under because 1. it might be too scary and 2. they might not be able to run as much as they need to. Now I get that some people that that you're not scared of anything, but my husband went in fearless and came out a changed man with full awareness that everyone is scared at something. Wow. This place sucked. I went to the one in Denver and it was awesome. They didn't even have any actors inside this place. You literally walk through the place and hear banging on walls that's it. NO ACTORS. NO ONE IN COSTUMES. NOTHING. Not only that but we paid for the skip the line and that's a total joke. You still get put in the same line as everyone else. This was a complete rip off. Highly suggest that you DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME! I still don't understand how y'all are getting away with charging $50 with no actors to even scare anyone. That's crazy. read more

The communication with the help desk is beyond horrible. I simply wanted to reschedule an early bird voucher, and there is no protocol for that. You can not get a real person nor an email back from anyone. They assume all questions can be answered by their BOT chat, but it can not. Horrible customer service. Not scary at all they only had about 5 actors in the whole house. It gives more of a scary fun house at a Carnival or fair kind of vibe than a haunted house. The decorations and the little details give it great potential but the actors just weren't good and there wasn't enough of them. We had a blast at 13th floor. We got there about 7:20 on a Sunday. We were in line for about an hour and 20 minutes. It takes about 20 minutes to go through the attraction. The props were good. They space you enough so that you are able to get a few good scares without seeing the people in front of you get scared, which usually ruins it! I would definitely return next year. read more

My group of three was forced to go into the haunted house with strangers in front of us, and strangers behind of us. How on earth is it supposed to be scary if all the stuff is popping out first for the group ahead of us?! They always separate the groups at other haunted houses I've been to. They did a really good job on everything. I have a few things they could improve on. 1. Don't let the next group of people in so quickly after another. Our experience was ruined because the kids were following behind us less than 10 seconds after we started. 2. The place needs some arrows of indication on where to go in some spots. There's a ramp in one place that seems like the only way to go.. it's not. Also, somehow made it behind the scenes where a mechanical wall almost fell on some kids. There were 2 doors in a room and we went left.. thankfully that door was locked but we asked the actor in the scene and he did not point us in the right direction.. so now even more people have caught up behind us. 3. Stay Away Stay Away!! Read the reviews they do not lie. I spent over $260 at this place it was worst experience ever this place is like a tourist line pushing people through one after another no space in between two families in the front two families behind me, we felt like we were claustrophobic. We did the zombie shooting game and what a joke. Two people running around the whole show while you shoot with gel balls and the guns don't even work. we spent more time having technical help with the guns than actually shooting. these people in charge of marketing for 13th floor really did a good job because in person it was a joke I feel sick with the money I spent here. The haunted doll house tour is exactly that, a tour with people packed going through the rooms people in the front taking pictures and people in the back laughing and giggling. we could not get in the mood, we cannot use our imagination. The entire experience only had about three people doing jump scares there was a lot of empty walking space. I felt like I was in a dark museum watching paintings and artifacts. No action and almost no interaction. I read the reviews but because of the price and the way the marketing team sold the product I said to myself this has to work this has to be good, they are charging almost $55 per person for this haunt while every other place charges between $25-$35. this was a rip off. I felt like I was robbed. $260+ down the drain. I highly recommend haunted trails on beltway 8 north by Antoine I also recommend Terrordome in Channelview also Purgatory by Bush Intercontinental. those three haunted houses are very good and the staff there waits 5 to 10 minutes in between parties. it is really good you feel like you're going in alone either by yourself with your family or your friends with no other interruptions or outside sources to ruin the experience. I had a blast! We went the week before Halloween. Great decor with a wonderful attention to detail. The actors and staff were great. I've worked at several haunted houses in my lifetime before, moving to this side of Houston, and some over the complaints I saw cannot be blamed on the staff. If the lines inside the house are backed up that's because of the customers. The staff cannot control people walking super slow, taking pictures of everything or they're just too scared to move. The haunted house itself was pretty impressive, although there seemed to be a shortage of actors, and many of the actors who were present just stood as groups walked by. I would have liked more interaction with the people in the house. While the technical details were impressive, the logistical staff behind this haunted house were no where near ready for primetime. For one thing, while the website says there is free parking, it appears that the parking lot is now being used as an Amazon lot, there were Harris County Sheriff's Department officers preventing people from parking in every open spot in the lot, so be prepared to pay $10 to park in the pay lot next door. The line to get through security was absolutely unbelievable. It was over 2 hours (although there is a much shorter back entrance). They only had one person working security at each entrance which was staggering. Sort of like trying to fly out of Newark on a Sunday but worse. Similarly, the bar on site was constantly out of water and many of the other staff positions seemed incredibly understaffed as well. I hope the management are able to use this year as a learning experience because it has a lot of potential. read more

I went into this haunted house with really high hopes, but was sadly disappointed. There was a lack of actors inside the haunted house. The majority of the haunted house was robotic props. I was extremely disappointed by this. When there was an actually person 1/4 of the time they just stood there and stared. One actor actually just stood in the corner the whole time as we walked by. I'm glad I went on a Wednesday when the ticket was only $20. I would have been very upset to pay upwards of $30. Honestly, I would say take your money to a different haunted house in Houston.
