LOT FOOD FOR A GREAT COST!…read more We were HUNGRY! My Aspen (service dog loves shrimp!!) I'm the Veggie, and we were searching for a place rather close. Searching the area, we found a quiet unassuming, in a quiet neighborhood strip mall, simple place. Read the reviews, Hmmm sounds interesting. When entering in an off hour, there were other people filling the tables, "it must be good! With others' here at this time" What I found; Huge portions of lunch time food at a very reasonable cost! The Egg Drop soup was EXCELLENT, The Shrimp, well my Aspen devoured after I had one, it was plump - tender and flavorful. The Veggies, this is MY YUM and PLENTIFUL!! Fried rice - not so fried rather a steamed rice with soy, the egg roll was crisp, smaller than others (seems to be the new fashion these days) filled with wonderful veggies. Did I mention the Egg Drop Soup was DELICIOUS!!!! Our Server required being won over- at first, need to win her over with some compliments, then she smiled and giggled. This was LUNCH menu and it is plentiful and reasonable cost! The place is very clean and ample seating. Meals come quickly, be prepared. No outside seating, and it's a chilly October day. Open 6 days weekly, from 11AM till 8 or 9PM Price, extremely reasonable!!! Convenient Parking in Front. And take out is available with phone in first, or order while eating some delicious food. Definitely recommended if your in the quaint neighborhood an hungry.

We ordered a to go order, so I can not comment on the dine in experience. However, the lady who took my order on the phone was friendly and made sure to verify the items in my order so that it was accurate. And upon picking up our order, we were happy to see everything was in there. We ordered crab cheese wontons, which were filled nicely and tasted great, Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Pork, and Orange Chicken with hot and sour soup I'm not very big on Chinese food in general, but this was one of the best Orange Chickens I've tasted! I've also never enjoyed Mongolian Pork, but this was the first time I really enjoyed it. Everyone in my family enjoyed the Kung Pao Chicken and the soup as well. The taste is great, the service is friendly, and they have definitely just won over some new regular customers

I was told Mason's Dumpling Shop was not a good place to order dumplings, and their other dishes…read morewere so-so. And so, I held on to this believe for at least two years. Today, my friends and I decided to give it a try, just because us three live right near the Shop. Walking through the door, I was promptly greeted by the hostess, and when I told her there will be three of us, she said "sit wherever you like." I proceeded to a table by the window, so I can see outside. While waiting, I was offered to scan the QR code for their online menu, but I was offered a paper menu. I selected the latter. Before I got here, I looked at their menu from home and knew I'd want to try their Chinese pancakes and the buns. Anything else, I would make some suggestions to my friends when they get here. We ordered 6 items: (1) pan fried Chinese pancakes, (2) edamame in sesame soy sauce, (3) stewed Angus beef bun, (4) stewed pork belly bun, (5) steamed cabbage, pork & shrimp dumplings and (6) pan fried chives pocket dumplings. Food review for (1): holy cow! The sesame soy sauce was the star of this dish. So flavorful! So good! My mouth was exploded, and I wanted more. What follows after that were the pancakes. Again, the accompanying sauce was the star and went so well with these simple fried pancakes. Our buns came out next. The beef was so good; the pork? Not too much because of the excessive fats on the barely-pork meat. However, after asking our waitress for just a few pieces of the pork, and she complied, I was able to if this pork belly a B+. The beef was a solid A. Maybe this is where the dumplings dish fail the taste test for the negative feedback, because eating these dumplings were just a "meh" rating. Since a part of the name of the restaurant is "Dumpling", you would expect the dumplings to be very good. I think a C- would be appropriate. I didn't care for the pocket dumplings, which was (6). It could be because I don't like the taste of chives, but I can say that this dish left a bad taste in my mouth. A D- because it failed my taste buds. The ambiance was nice. Both server and waitress were very attentive and took care of our needs. Overall, I would come back and order my favorite 3 dishes and will try a couple additional dishes with no chives! An A- for this place.

Mason's Dumpling shop was recommended by a friend to check out in the Lakewood area, so we went to…read morepay this place a visit on a Sunday around 1PM. The restaurant had plenty of seats so we were able to get a table quickly. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza, so there is plenty of parking options. When we went, you would park on the other side of the restaurant and then walk around to get to the actual entrance facing the street. Ordering is down through a paper menu in which you check off what you would like and then hand to the service worker. Service was fast and attentive, and the restaurant feels like a quick casual dine in type of vibe. We ordered a decent amount of dumplings to try, which I'll review down below: Dumplings ($13 - $14): We got two different types of dumplings, the Yuzu chicken soup dumplings and the pan fried fish and cabbage dumplings. Flavor-wise, they are both pretty pleasant! One critique for the soup dumplings is that they are super fragile, and the dumpling skin rips really easily as they were sticking even when they came out, so you may unfortunately lose a good amount of soup try to enjoy them. As for the fillings, they are pretty uniform in texture and have a pleasant mouth feel to eat. You can definitely taste the yuzu in the yuzu dumplings and the flavor in both dumplings are fragrant. Stewed Pork Belly Noodle ($14): A pretty solid bowl of noodles! There is a generous amount of pork that we were able to split between multiple people. I like that there is a decent amount of bok choy and radish in the dish to contrast with the flavorful and really tender pork belly. I think that if I were to order only this dish, it would fill me up to a comfortable level of fullness. The soup has a subtle porky flavor and the noodles have a decent amount of chewiness. Wood Ear Mushroom Salad ($6.50): I am a fan - we ordered this to help contrast with the dumplings and serve as a palate cleanser in addition to being an appetizer. There is a nice acidity in the dressing and the wood ears are crunchy and aren't too rubbery. It does say spicy on the menu, but it's more of a very mild spice. In the end, I think that Mason's Dumpling Shop is a pretty solid dumpling restaurant in Lakewood, and we spent about $25 per person for every thing here. Which I think is a good price for the variety. I would definitely revisit and try the other options they have here if I'm ever back in Lakewood!

I am so glad that they are so consistent and have not changed recipes or adjusted seasonings. Ordered our two favorites - pickled pepper beef and mapo tofu. Then the string beans and a new dish - sauerkraut fish filet. The sauerkraut fish filet reminded me of the Vietnamese catfish soup but no sweetness added. Very good dish and will def order again. Also love that they have quality rice here.

We ordered the fried tofu (with peppers and onions), orange chicken, fried fish fillet, and veggie delight (mixed veggies). The fried fish fillet was definitely the standout. Perfectly crispy on the outside with a light, tangy layer of sauce that added flavor without making it soggy. Easily my favorite dish of the meal. The fried tofu was also really solid and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The peppers and onions complemented it well without overpowering the tofu itself. The orange chicken was okay. I tend to compare orange chicken to Panda Express (probably unfair, but it's my benchmark), and this one didn't quite hit that same balance of crispiness and sauce. I think if it had a bit more meat within each piece, would be better. The mixed vegetables were decent but not something I'd order again. They felt a bit drenched in sauce and didn't have much depth in flavor. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting an elderly woman who helps out when it gets busy. She mentioned she was the former owner. She was incredibly kind, and we ended up having a really nice conversation in Mandarin. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. Otherwise, really nice venue with lots of space and tables. Waiters always refilled my water, which is a good plus. Also gave me fresh rice when I took the leftovers to go. Overall, a solid meal with a couple standout dishes. I'd definitely come back for the fried fish fillet and tofu. Will be back to try their other dishes.

This is my family & I 2nd time here in Denver and after finding this place the 1st visit we make it a point to come to this location. I always get the Mongolian beef with fried rice (no egg; I'm allergic) My husband always gets the General Tso chicken with the fried rice and he ALWAYS orders this and never has a complaint. My son gets the Sesames chicken also with fried rice and it's sweet and crunchy as they fry the chicken to mix in their sauce and it's worth every penny. Every time!
