I have been immensely happy with Leopold's and would recommend it to anyone. All the staff are kind, and I feel particularly fortunate to work with my stylist, Pacha, who rules. My haircut looks like I was a test subject for a barber school. When I was in the "salon" it looked like it was a descent job. But when I got home and looked in the mirror one side of my head was cut completely different than the other. it was like I had two different haircuts. Uneven and longer with small tufts of hair sticking out all over. even in the back one side was longer than the other and then remembered she didn't even give me a mirror to see the back. to make it even worse she created this ridiculous dumb parting line down the middle of my head that looks like a stupid 80s rickspringfield hair cut. ugh, literally this is the worst haircut I've ever had. I can cut my hair myself and do a better cut. I just wanted a typical haircut. short with no complicated fades or anything difficult. the one star is for whoever cut my hair. I won't mention the name. If you go here make sure you know somebody that they had and are recommended. I'm sure I could go back and have them fix it but then it would be uncomfortable. I am so mad. Now I have to go to a place that can fix it and waste my day off.

I had bought the Groupon with the intent of saving it for a 'rainy day' and ended up redeeming it after I had a bit of a fiasco with an at-home color kit (think jack-o-lantern orange and black). I made it very clear when I scheduled my appointment that I was going to need some serious time to right this wrong... I was so amazed with the results! She did a phenomenal job on the color, super rich and glossy, no trace of the jack-o-lantern print. I have very long, thick hair that is naturally a very mousy brown color; Kelly is great at keeping my color believable, yet striking -- also, my hair has never been healthier. I get the conditioning treatment at every appointment (usually every 6-7 weeks) and I use the Awapuhi line of shampoo/conditioner/deep conditioner. I've been going back to Kelly for over a year now and also got my sister and boyfriend hooked. Very professional, sparkling clean space, nice atmosphere, great conversationalist, amazing stylist, what else can I say...? A+. One thing to note, Kelly is the only person in the salon - expect to leave a voice message when calling - she returns calls between clients.

His prices are slightly higher than his competitors ($24/cut), but the few extra dollars are more than worth it. His shop is in a relatively new building, is clean, and has ample parking. He took his time with the cut without wasting my time and is easy to talk to. I also liked that his space is nice and private; there aren't a bunch of other people waiting and staring as you sit there. Highly recommended.

If someone takes the time to make an appointment, their scheduled time should be respected. There didn't seem to be any organization or priority for customers with appointments. Waiting a few minutes is understandable, but waiting an hour for a scheduled appointment is unacceptable. I had always loved my hair appointments but I started to dread them and became filled with anxiety wondering if my hair would be too short, uneven or if the color is messed up! I tried talking to her about this 6 mos before leaving and she blamed it on the fact that she has to cut my time down bc she gives me a discount! She also said I needed to come every 4 weeks to make up for that. Then how is that a discount!? So I started coming every 4 weeks but nothing changed, in fact it got worse! The last time I was there she was all stressed out about the covid regulations and yelled at me 2x during my appt! I had no problem with the regulations, I'm a nurse and have bn dealing with them for 3 months already! I emailed her letting her know why I wouldnt be returning and she said, "unfortunately this cant be fixed". No apologies, no affect on her losing a client of 10 years! It is disheartening when someone you have been going to for 10 yrs decides you are not worth their time, even though you are paying for their time!
