I started my BJJ journey at this gym, and honestly, I couldn't have picked a better place. From day one, the coaches made everything feel welcoming and beginner-friendly. They break down the techniques in a way that actually makes sense, and they've been patient with me while still pushing me to get better every week. The people here are what really make it special though. Everyone helps each other, and there's zero ego on the mats. I never felt out of place or intimidated, just supported. Starting BJJ here has been one of the best decisions I've made. If you're thinking about trying it, 10th Planet Whittier is THEE place. read more

10th planet Jiu Jitsu has been one of the greatest sport + community experiences I have had. I learn under Coach Wes, and he is THE MAN! I have grown so much under his teaching as a jujitsu practitioner over the past 8 months thanks to him. His attention to detail, working with you step by step through each move, and highly encouraging attitude has really made all the difference. I highly recommend you make it to his classes!!! On top of the coaching Ive received from Wes, I've gotten to meet and roll with people from all walks of life and build friendships I wouldn't have if it wasn't for joining 10th Planet. The environment here is highly supportive, highly encouraging, and competitive, to say the least. I had my kid's sign up in this facility. Then shortly after that, me and the husband ended up signing up. It's a great program and has other classes like wrestling and Gi and so on. Amazing coaches, have made some pretty amazing friends there who help me so much throughout this jiu jitsu training. Really great atmosphere. No one gets left behind on what is being taught every single day there. First time I stepped into that gym I was greeted with such respect and kindness. I learned quick on what was going one for the day and caught up. Mind you, I've never done jiu jitsu. It's been a journey. A good one too. Hope when me and the family move this year, there will be a 10th planet around there ! read more

The class constitution is diverse in every sense. All ages, men and women, with abilities from beginner to advanced. No politics. They offer a variety of class times, so there's some flexibility for those with full time jobs. They offer a kid's class, as well. There's space for parents to sit and watch.
