I was so scared to try something new, but Rick made sure that me and my husband could try out the class before we make any decisions or even just sit and watch. Not once did he force us to do anything we didn't want to, very mellow and the other students were very welcoming! I'm more into Muay Thai but guess what?? They offer it too! It's very intimidating, but you learn to love it read more

I joined recently mainly for Muay Thai but I know for a fact that the jiujitsu here is top notch. I've trained with head instructor Rick in the past at another 10th planet gym and he was always a great training partner and excellent instructor. Jonas is the Muay Thai instructor who I have also had the opportunity to train with in the past. He tries to tailor the class to the needs and goals of the students.. whether it's to get in shape, learn self defense, or eventually fight in the ring, which he has a lot of experience with as well. I have been wanting to get back into regular Martial arts training for quite some time and I am glad I found out about this 10th planet gym. I would definitely recommend it to anybody looking to learn martial arts or needs a fun way to stay in shape. read more

My personal experience at this gym was great. I trained here for over a year until i moved out of state. Great and friendly gym for people of all skills and athletic abilities. The Coaching staff there with Rick, Zack, and Pon is excellent. They host one of the biggest open mats in the IE every Saturday. Parking is great and the facilities have clean bathrooms and mats. Classes available in both in the early am and evenings. read more

My boys and I have been training here since January and it has been an amazing experience. Not a good place to sign up and start your jitsu journey. Im voicing my thougths here to warn new beginners about this place. No gym owner should charge 30$ on the day you start your free trial. Period. Everyone should get a feel for the gymand jitsu. But instead i feel the owner wants to feel his pockets. Theres other local mma/jitsu gyms that will be humble enough to let you check their gyms out and not worry about a "welcome pay me fee. " I hope this heps the jitsu community read more

As a lifelong martial arts practitioner (TKD, Shotokan, and some Judo and Kendo), I gave it up when I went off to college. Almost 20 years removed from any sort of martial arts training, I was worried about taking it up again -- this time at a much older age, and with a much more physical art than others. Everyone here is great and willing to help the newer people learn. The gym itself is brand new (opened mid-2018), so the gym is very clean and well-kept. Rick is a great instructor with the lineage and credentials to help you start your jiu-jitsu journey. They also offer Muay Thai classes if you're interested in working on your striking -- and Wrestling, to help augment your jiu-jitsu. More traditional gym-type Health/fitness classes like MMA cardio are offered as well. They also have kids classes. Classes are offered in the morning and evening, so it'll be easy to find one that fits your schedule. read more

I just left open mat and had to leave this review. Awesome gym and atmosphere for anyone interested in learning 10th planet jiu-jitsu and Knowledge from Slick Rick Marshall. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and students from all over come to train at open mat Saturdays. read more

So... I came here from out of town for a weekend of Seminars and wow. The place was clean, the students were friendly, the instructors were affable and giving with their knowledge. The seminars were great, and they made sure the little things like extra bathrooms for the extra people attending were taken care of. They even had an on site food vendor. I can't imagine how great the day to day classes are when they are this good at larger scale events. If you live local and don't train at this 10P, what are you really doing with your life? read more

Coach Rick has successfully brought the spirit of grappling martial arts to Redlands. The well kept dojo offers tons of classes and equipment. There are wresting, kickboxing, gi and no gi classes each week. While all that is great, what really makes the pace so ideal is the people. The place is packed with humility, talent and fun every day, very helpful group of students. I've trained in over a dozen schools over the years and 10th P Redlands sits at the top. It's perfect for any age and level and fitness goal and the best price for everything it offers across the IE. I don't have a single complaint, neither does my son, who takes the daily kids classes. read more

Came to this school after the UFC Gym in rancho shut down. Really wanted to continue learning Jiu-Jitsu, knew that 10th planet was a great fixture in the world of nogi Jiu-Jitsu. If you're looking for a new school, I HIGHLY recommend 10th Planet Redlands. Rick is a great instructor who does a fantastic job at telling you what you're good at, and giving you positive reassurance. All of the other students in the class are so kind, there isn't a single bad guy in the bunch. Everyone is very positive, always willing to help you learn. If you're interested in a class but aren't sure if it's for you, definitely come out to an open mat on Saturday's, test the waters for a bit! read more

This jiu jitsu dojo changed my life. I've been coming here since Christmas Eve after a buddy dragged me here. I was 324 lbs. I was sedentary. But that day I fell in love with jiu jitsu. I got the gym every day and Rick worked with me. My heart, my life, my appearance, and lifestyle are healthier now. I live for jiu jitsu and I will come back again and again and again until I am a black belt. Rick taught me so much and this experience changed my life forever. read more

After about 9 months I'm still not very experienced as far as jiu jitsu and muay thai are concerned but Rick is an amazing instructor and will make sure that you get the technique correct so that you can do it correctly if you ever want to get in the ring and not get destroyed!! Jonas, the muay thai instructor, is an amazing instructor as well and just like Rick will make sure that you have the right technique so that you can have the ability to get in the ring if you want to and they both make sure to get everyone the one on one time needed to make sure that they improve. read more

Amazing gym and amazing people! Prof. Rick is super welcoming AND knowledgeable, and really knows how to put on a class that is fun, informative, and strenuous. Even though I don't get to train often, I always feel like I am amongst friends at 10p Redlands, even when the class is all strangers. They also play the best music I've ever heard at a BJJ gym! read more

I recently moved close to the area and the hardest part for me was bot having a 10th Planet near by to train at. Thankfully, that's noblonger an issue since 10th Planet Redlands has opened. Rick is an amazing instructor and had traveled the world obtaining knowledge of the grappling arts. He breaks down techniques very well, so anyone bat any skill level should be able to pick it up easily. All the members I have met so far are very friendly and helpful as well. If you're in the area and want to learn the art, or have been waiting to train at a 10th Planet, I hope to see you soon. read more
