We've been bringing our 5yo and 11yo boys for about 6 months and I REGRET WE DIDN'T START COMING YEARS AGO!!! We have a 15yo also and have had all 3 kids and many different activities and sports over the years in Yucaipa/Calimesa, Redlands and Beaumont and this is hands down the absolute BEST out there. Not only are they teaching the art and self defense but they are teaching confidence, accountability, safety and just what it is to just be a good person...and the kids have an absolute blast while doing it. All of the instructors are incredibly good with the kids and the tone of the team exudes a collaborative and highly cohesive unit that seem to really buy into the benefits they are bringing these kids and ultimately our community. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. My brother and niece have been coming here for years and recently I brought my Son. My 10 year old Son loves it and looks forward to the days he gets to go. All of the instructors are amazing with the students of all ages and levels. At any given time there are 4-5 instructors walking around helping each student. This place is amazing for kids, teenagers, and adults. My son, daughter, and husband attend here and they all love it! We tried all the sports with my son and he didn't like any of them but he LOVES going to Hapkido. I think he likes it so much because the instructors are so kind and patient with him and they are funny! This place is very clean as well which is very important to us. We also like the flexibility here. Well I can honestly say My son who is 4yrs old and I have had a very positive and pleasant experience at Kim's hapkido. We cruised in one day, Newly moved to the area and watched a class, were warmly welcomed and the studio looked cool and kids seemed very comfortable and happy as we observed, so we signed up and come twice a week, very reasonable prices, worth every penny to see how much joy the sport has brought my son, the instructors/teachers are very personable good hearted people, i believe it's a family ran business which I really liked and it's obvious by performance they love what they do. My son is new to this type of sport and is distracted easily and at first was very shy, got tired easily short attention span like most 4yr olds but the instructors/teachers are very patient with him and use lots of positive reinforcement and laughs and setting goals, and give him a lil extra attention because I can tell they enjoy seeing him progress, in just a little over a month my son has shown a great deal of progression in my sons performance, not so shy, looks forward to seeing Mr.Castle's and Mr.reece and his new pals and showing a lot of progress in not only learning self defense but in learning discipline respect and following direction in a group environment.
