I absolutely love this place... it's in a strip mall/shopping center nothing fancy or aesthetically pleasing. However the Master is just so good with the kids ! My son loves going and despite all his sensory challenges he truly enjoys every minute in there. Parking is available sometimes you have to park a little far but nothing crazy. Arrive early if you want to have front row seating of watching your kid. Some classes do get a little crowded but we don't care because he is amazing. Prices for membership are pretty standard with other studios. They allow you to do a vacation month so that's great! The have an introductory price that comes with uniform. Honestly great place!

This is the best outlet and discipline learning a squirrely 5 year old can have. Master Paul is wonderful with the kids. He is fun yet firm. There is much to be learned by him. My grandchildren look forward to going and we are all grateful for this experience.

Amazing classes each and every time

Master Park and all the other assistants are amazing with the children. My boys always look forward to coming so they can learn Tae Kwon Do. I love that they're getting exercise, and learning discipline, respect in a new setting and format. The instructors focus on each child, giving them the attention and direction as needed. The classes are not too long, not too short- just right. The scheduled classes are very flexible with many options with time. It's nice there's a wide age range in beginner classes. And in it all they are laughing and having fun. They can't wait to get their belts!

If you are looking to start your child in taekwondo I would highly recommend. Master John Park is so great with the kids. I'm constantly amazed by how much my son and other kids in his class learn. The environment is a perfect mix of learning Taekwondo while the kids are still having fun. We had my son's birthday party here last November and it was so much fun! All our guests had an amazing time learning a little taekwondo, breaking boards, and playing dodge ball. Master Park keeps everything neat and clean and the staff of instructors are all so kind and helpful to the kids. I decided JJ'S was the place for my son based on how the staff was with the kids. I wanted my son to learn martial arts, but also have a good time doing so. 5 stars in my book!

If you're a parent looking for a taekwondo school that truly helps kids grow -- not just in skill, but in confidence and character -- this is it. My son started when he was 5, and now at 7, he's a purple belt! Over the past year, he's gained so much strength, balance, and focus... every belt promotion feels like a proud-parent moment. He walks out of every class a little taller and a lot more confident. I actually stumbled on Tempest by accident -- I was walking past the dojang on my way to Redlands Barre (same building!) and saw one of my girlfriends and her son in the Wolf Cubs class. A week later, my son was signed up, and the rest is history! The Tempest team -- Master Terrence, Instructors Minh and Vi, and the rest of the instructors -- go above and beyond for these kids. Classes are fun, challenging, and full of energy. They know how to push the students while still making it feel encouraging and positive. What really makes Tempest special is how much it feels like a family. Instructor Minh is amazing at keeping both parents and kids involved -- she reads out the goals and notes we parents submit so the kids hear that encouragement directly. The team also gives out Taekwondo cards for things like Best Attitude, Courage, Skill, Citizenship, and even special editions for training camps or holidays. It's such a clever way to reward effort and gamify progress! And an unexpected bonus -- taekwondo has made my son a way better soccer player! Something about learning to kick with precision and discipline has carried over to the field. His coordination, balance, and agility have skyrocketed. I swear his soccer game has improved fiftyfold since joining Tempest! Earlier this month, the Tempest team competed in the Orange County Open Martial Arts Championship in Newport Beach, and it was incredible to see how far they've all come. Watching them perform their poomsae together, show power in speed kicks and punches, and beam with pride was pure joy. My son brought home gold, silver, and bronze, and he was so proud of himself -- we were extra extra extra proud of him! We've also made some wonderful friendships through Tempest. Ethan's had playdates and hangouts with fellow students, and we've connected with such great families over the past year and a half. When your kid loves where they learn -- and you love the community that comes with it -- that's something really special. And speaking of community, Tempest organized an awesome camping trip at Silverwood Lake earlier this year -- movie night, Easter egg hunt, campfires, the works. It was such a fun weekend bonding with other families and the instructors who make this place feel like home. Watching our son's journey -- from wobbly white-belt kicks to confident purple-belt poomsaes -- has been one of the most rewarding parts of parenthood. Tempest isn't just about martial arts... it's about confidence, community, and character...on the mat and off.

He started at 4 y/o and just recently moved to intermediate level. Words are not enough to describe the experiences he's had in the last year, but suffice to say that we are extremely happy with the skills he's learned. Master Terrence and all the instructors (especially Alejandro and Lauren) are amazing. Instructors Minh and Vi are friendly and welcoming. The junior instructors are extremely helpful. Tempest has a very inviting and friendly environment with supportive instructors, family members and students. They offer free trial classes so make sure to check them out. If you think you or your child can benefit from the physical and mental discipline it provides, take a chance and join! You won't regret it.

He loves going to class and learning. They do celebrate birthdays & have these small functions in order to creat unique events that will be memorable for the kiddos. Master Simpson even hosted a spirit week for his dojo. Each practice had a different theme and my kid loved the different events that were planned. He got to dress to be an old man or had silly hair. I love taking my child here since it serves as an outlet for his extra energy. Master Simpson has been reinforcing the positive respectful behavior we have been teaching him at home. My son has learned a lot more positive lessons while working in his class group. My child definitely feels sad if he ever misses a practice. I would definitely recommend this Martial Arts group to any parents interested in putting their children into a fun learning environment.

Master Park is a very caring instructor, and I like that he instills a small amount of both Korean culture (of which Taekwondo is founded on) while encouraging students to work hard and disciplining students when instructions are not followed. The class sizes are fairly small so every student can get personalized attention. When the classes are larger (5+) groups, his wife who is also a black belt also comes to help out. There are belt tests every two months, so students are always encouraged to work hard so that they can rank up. Being an adult, one could imagine that I could have paid my way towards a black belt at any other locations, but that was not the case here. I appreciated that Master Park still held me to the standards of any other students, and that was no joke when it came to flexibility and forms. While forms are often easier to master through repetition, splits were a much more challenging skill, and by the end of two years of training, I finally achieved 2/3 of my splits, with the last one being only about 5 inches off the ground. In addition to TKD and its benefits, Master Park also tries to incorporate other martial arts styles such as boxing and supplements a primarily lower-body style of martial arts with upper-body techniques as well. While COVID made it harder to be involved, I wanted to help support the family business through private lessons. While at the time Master Park had no time for private lessons, I am glad to hear that they now have more students, and it is also nice to see that he has hired some of the black belts as instructors at his studio.
