You get what ya pay for and then some extra germs. The front desk team is typically kind and friendly, overall. The gym though; DIRTY and disgusting! My husband and I have been to and even worked at many gyms over our lifetime. But this place literally smells the second you open the door. We have seen ONE cleaning person work the place here and there. Not a team and not a duo or trio. The men's restroom was SO bad my husband (who grew up wrestling, football, gym guy) wouldn't even use the restroom. No TP or paper towels either. He kindly reported it to the front desk and was met with nervous laughter: "well the female restroom is good, I just checked it". What??? Sanitation AT A GYM is pretty important. And with all the Covid variants, ya might wanna hold fast on offering a clean establishment, let alone really clean. All of the front desk empress should be circulating with cleaning products and using them. Management: you should invest in a better circulation system. The temperature and stench in your gym is unreal. The back room was well over 80+ degrees when the mid day sun is beating inside the floor to ceiling g windows. It might be time for new floors and mats because that is where the smell and mold build up as well. We had family members move to the area and check out a few gyms, including this one. They had the same feedback! No way we're they going to join. It's a shame. The lay out and offerings are pretty great! We tried. We should have known better. Canceled after 7 weeks. Although PF doesn't offer the free weights and heavy lifting equipment desired, we will make it work at the clean establishment just down the street. I canceled my membership in person and asked them what all they would need for a valid cancelation. They told me just a 30 day notice. Fast forward a few months they charged me a yearly renewal fee and monthly dues. I went up to 10 gym and they said that they are showing my account is closed and to call the corporate office. I called the corporate office and they said I need to call a 3rd party ABC Fitness, which ended up telling me I need to talk to the local club. The staff are professional and friendly and address any issues that may arise in an effective and efficient manner, especially considering some of the clientele that may be attending. As for Clovey P.'s previous posting referencing Lighthouse Fitness and the trainer she was assigned to, she had ever opportunity to address the issues she had regarding her trainer in the times that she was under contract. To choose this time, seemingly years after the fact, to address this in a public format to slander someone that she contracted to train her is not only bad but shows the lack of personal discretion and class. She violated the Yelp! Policies of conduct by mentioning an individual by their full name, in essence doxing him, and is doing everything she can to try to affect his livelihood. The trainer mentioned has been my personal trainer for several years, prior to the pandemic beginning, and has done everything he can to work with everyone that is assigned to him and has worked with my personal schedule on several occasions because...life. nothing that she mentioned is believable since it is behavior that I have never seen him exhibit during my time training with him when there are MANY people in the gym wearing form fitting workout apparel. Her stated personal appearance issues could have easily been addressed with the trainer ot management at the time that she was under contract since these are issues that should be addressed at the lowest and most direct level possible. She could have easily requested an alternate trainer much like anyone could request an alternate medical professional should they feel uncomfortable. This person should be flagged for their inappropriate posting and if they still have a contract with the gym, then it should be terminated post-haste to prevent further detrimental attacks of character to other workers. She needs to grow up and learn that she should adjust to the world, use her voice, and stop hiding behind a keyboard. Tried to cancel 6 months ago and was not able to, trying again at the end of the contract period and cannot get ahold of a single person only an onsite desk person who gave me a phone number which is one of 3 that I have been calling that will only pull me into a continuous automated loop. ABC fitness is the payment processing company they use and who should be shut down. Predatory company hiding behind automated voicemails because they know people calling them are furious. It's a New Year, old resolution lose weight. I thought I'd check out 10 Gym, I see them everywhere in Oklahoma. The advertisement was a 5 cent sign up with $10 monthly, no contract commitments. Sounds great right. The fine print has a $49.99 annual fee and payment set up monthly on debit or credit. Personally this maybe reasonable I dont know what people pay for gym membership. I do know the YMCA is more expensive, maybe because they have swimming pool and sports. Is it just me, I wish these places had sections for FIFTY and over to exercise and a greater discount. I'd probably only go twice a week, three times at the max. I have a desire to start exercising more but these gyms seem set up as a social club for younger people with athletic bodies. Lighthouse fitness operates inside 10gym. Once you sign up for 10gym they offer you a free fitness exam from lighthouse. If you agree to the lighthouse outrageous terms like I did you better not get injured sick etc. They will not cancel your agreement without you jumping through hoops, all they care about is getting paid! I gave them the same note from my orthopedic dr I used for 10gym. However lighthouse doesn't except anything that's not written to them specifically. I had to make an additional Dr Appt to get the note. And they still don't want to except it. You could literally lose your legs and lighthouse will still charge you! Completely crooked company and 10gym should reevaluate having lighthouse operating out of there facility! read more

This gym seems to be one of the better ones in the area. After testing out other gyms after my pass expired here, I was fairly disappointed (especially with golds gym, 10gym makes golds gym look lame)!!! This gym is cleanly, has WAY more equipment and room to train in, and the staff is so nice. I will most likely be renewing my membership here. I feel so much more comfortable training here and there's plenty of squat racks + more than one of other resistance/ weight training equipment that most gyms only have one of!! I have been a member of this gym for many many years. It is simply the best value if you have a tight budget. They have tons of equipment including numerous squat racks and dumbbells. I almost never have to wait on anyone. They do have some "hidden fees" that you need to be aware of but overall the value is superb. They even have great classes for an extra $10 a month! One of the biggest drawbacks is the air flow. I have some friends who stopped their membership just because the smell is so bad. The air is super thick and it smells like a boys locker room. If they could do something about freshening the air (since it is usually pretty crowded) I would easily give it 5/5 stars. Their staff members are pretty friendly and are continually cleaning equipment. They are doing an excellent job of cleaning during the COVID times. This gym gets a 4 star because it's often quite busy therefore difficult to get a good workout for the guys in my family. They do have extended hours of 24/4 Monday-Thursday, however I've never tried the late hours. There's really not alot of good options in Edmond for a gym with combination of complete weights and aerobic machines- we have visited Golds, planet fitness... which have us returning to 10gym each trial. With the New year's resolution coming up, it was definitely be packed. It would be nice to just maintain a steady and safer environment during this covid and flu season. My family has been at this location for about 5 yrs and turnover is high especially for management who have been inattentive at times and non approachable. The younger staff all start off attentive then seem to pickup on management's tone resulting in half hearted efforts. Recently, we have seen employees cleaning especially with the increase in customers so I appreciate those notable efforts. My husband use to frequently comment on the smell and disgust coming from the men's bathroom until recently he has been commenting on a staff member Dana (maybe the interim manager- I'm guessing because he shows pride in his work and seems to enjoy it) We have often commented on Dana's hardwork as he is always cleaning and responsive to our concerns. In fact, Dana makes this location a 5 star for us as he was most helpful on account issue that was set up wrong from a previous employee who set us up wrong. As a gym goer of 39 years and 10 Gym member of 6, I certainly understand the need to have and follow gym etiquette. However, your employee Alex (works most nights with pony tail hair style) has completely weaponized it and has consistently lied about these violations across several members that I have personally witnessed over the last month. After my group was falsely accused of dropping weights last week he was so assertive and authoritarian in tone that Orion Palmer thought he was joking so he replied in jest "Next time I am going to throw them through the wall" Alex reacted very aggressively as he should since he was indeed not joking and once Orion realized he was serious he immediately apologized and Alex would not accept it. So much so that another one of your own members who we do not even know very well and witnessed it all had to take him into the mop closet in the back and calm him down for 10 minutes. As I walked by that member 30 minutes later and asked if everything was ok and he informed me that he tried to explain to him that Orion was kidding and Alex was still not having it because we "disrespected him". For the next two days last week when I came in Alex would see me coming and start acting busy so he did not have to greet me. I found this strange so I asked the rest of the group if he was doing the same to them and they all said yes. This activity also followed into this week all the way up to Thursday. Thursday was a very slow day at the gym, There were approximately 25 people in the front desk side when I arrived at 9:15pm. We started out workout in the new dumbbell area in the back with only 1 other member besides us 6 feet away. Another member Bob Zimmerman joined us and we were all holding a conversation when out of nowhere Alex comes in and tells us in a stern tone "YOU ALL NEED TO QUIET DOWN OVER HERE" and proceeds to walk off immediately after saying it. Bob was in shock and asked us if he was joking and I look over and the member 6 feet away watching has a confused look on his face. I laughed and asked him to be completely honest and tell us if we were being loud at all and he replied "hell no, I don't know what his deal is. At that point I told the group I was tired of being falsely accused and I was going to talk to Alex at the end of the workout to try and get this nonsense settled. Literally 20 minutes later while taking turns using the cable machine beside the mens bathroom without a single person within 25 feet of us Alex approaches and sternly tells us to "CLEAR THE WALKWAY". I very politely asked if he was being serious and he aggressively said "DEAD SERIOUS" at this point I decided enough was enough and I raised my voice as well and the verbal argument ensued. Alex quickly got on the phone and I told him "please, call the manager, we would love to talk to them" as he walked off. At no point was there ever even close to a physical threat made by any member present. Alex went to the private glass office and stayed on the phone while we continued our workout. 20 minutes later no less than 9 police officers show up to place us on a "trespassing list" and escort us from the gym. I asked how we were considered as trespassing when we were never asked to leave and the officer looked confused but stated we needed to leave anyway. Several other members approached and asked what was going on and after hearing the details one of them said "that's ridiculous" and went towards the front desk to speak to Alex. 30 seconds later, Alex was screaming "I got another one over here that needs to go officers" while pointing to that member. We left the gym and were banned the next morning. After contacting Karen the VP of the company the next morning to explain the situation she cut me off before I could even tell our side and said "Just so you know, your memberships have been canceled but I am open to hear your side of the story" What business owner does that?! If you want to be harassed by staff with aggressive lies of rule breaking and have the cops called on you for it, this gym is for you LOL read more

I don't understand why this place has 3 stars. I've been going for 4 years now and have always found it to be a good atmosphere, fairly clean, and it's had friendly staff. Sometimes the restrooms/locker rooms are dirty, but I feel like that speaks more towards the clients. They're pretty quick to clean any messes. There's a large variety of equipment to choose from, and some of the machines you just can't find anywhere else. Though they have plenty of different types of equipment to choose from, there's sometimes only one of that type or two. I have a childcare pass added on my membership, and I'm pleased with it. You don't really see a lot of gyms with childcare. They cycle through staff in the childcare pretty quickly, but it's mostly because the associates are college students that just move on to the next level of their education or mothers themselves that just have different needs that sometimes just require a different job. The employees they hire there have always been amazing with the kids and the clients though. Now, on to lighthouse fitness--personal training. Since I've been a member for so long, I've had different trainers. My first trainer left that company during the pandemic, my second trainer quit the same week he was hired (I don't feel like he was ready for the commitment to clients and the job), and my current trainer (Taylor Howe) is absolutely amazing. He truly understands fitness and how to build up a persons self esteem and build motivation. He this seemingly magic power of helping you accomplish your goals, and I couldn't be more grateful!! He's been nothing but supportive and understanding with not only my fitness journey, but with any kind of challenge I've had. He has trained me through my pregnancy flawlessly and has helped me get back on track postpartum. He gives great advice on diet plans as far as day to day, and suggests achievable macro needs for heavy lifting days. He also adjusts appropriately to help you meet your fitness goals (I.e. if your bulking or trimming down). As far as cancellations go, they have a 24-hour policy which is restated in the email every time you book a session. Taylor though, he's an extremely gracious trainer. If life happens (like childcare unexpectedly closed, or if life just happens) he'll offer you another time slot and try to move things around to get you in. If it's still not possible, he won't always charge for the session even though technically he can (24 hour cancellation policy). He's reasonable, caring, and understanding. He genuinely just wants you to succeed, and isn't just trying to make money. Trainers aren't miracle workers though. If you don't put in any effort, or constantly cancel you can't just expect to get results because you have a trainer. If you sign up for personal training, Taylor is the best, ask for him! The cost is expensive, but comparatively with other company's it's an absolute steal. Check this place out, and consider training! 20/10 I recommend this place. read more

I started going to 10 gym with a friend at the start of this year. The employees at the Edmond location were always so kind and sweet. Shortly after coming with a friend, I decided to get my own membership seeing as she was moving away. I always had good experiences with the staff and the customers in the gym. Upon moving myself I decided to cancel my membership seeing as the closest 10 gyms were about 30 minutes away. I signed up at a time when it was no contract/ no commitment. When I went to cancel the membership it started trying to charge me $111.76 to cancel it. Apparently, they snuck in a contract that I did not sign or agree to. So I will be losing my money for a gym I can no longer go to until the contract that I did not agree to is up. read more

The process to cancel a membership is ridiculous. There are so many hoops to jump through. It seems as though they try to hide the process to canceling a membership. I had to go to the location and ask one of the staff for how I can cancel my membership, he was helpful and gave me a number to call. I believe I should have been able to cancel the membership there. Then I call the number and was given an answering machine. I also do not agree with their pricing strategy. They charge a large annual fee, or it is by-annually. They do this to keep their monthly rate down. The only reason they are getting two stars is because I have nothing against the facility, equipment, or the staff. 10gym is definitely not worth the small amount of money that you have to pay for it. Save your money and time and just sign up with another gym. I just cancelled my membership at 10gym and found out that the contract states that when you cancel your membership, you owe whatever is due within the following month. There fore, i owe annual dues for the next year, of which i will not be a member. Management does not care about clientele. The gym is dirty, and the equipment is old. The workout classes have now been cancelled and there were great instructors teaching these classes. Members have to beg to get enough yoga mats for the entire class, quality bulbs for the tanning booths, and clean bathrooms. Don't even waste your time touring the facility or joining the facility. They greet me by name when i enter and exit the gym. They have some of the best gym hours around which fit into any busy persons life style. Not really a fan . They have '24hrs ' written really big on signs but then you find out it's only 24hrs from Tuesday-Friday (opens at like 5 /6 Monday morning . This is a issue for someone like me because of my work schedule I like to go to the gym about 4am before work when it's less crowded. If you go after work 5-6:30 it's usually pretty full . The weekend hours are laughable - maybe it's because I'm from the east coast but I have never heard of a gym that closes early on the weekends , it's usually the busiest day ! They've had one machine that I'm use to working out on (abs machine ) that's been broke for months and no one seems to know when it will be fixed. It's a mediocre gym at best , it's probably a better bet to pay a bit more and go to another gym. read more

It's not the biggest gym with the most equipment I've been to, but the Edmond location is always super clean, and the staff is so nice. They have what I need to do my workout, and don't cost an arm and a leg. The girls that work in childcare at this location are so awesome, which I know is important to every mom when they leave their kids somewhere. Plus, childcare is cheap too! There's always things you change to make things a bit better or more to your liking, but I think the Edmond location is doing an awesome job. read more

Awful. Not only are the facilities sub par and not kept well ventilated, but the staff there can be inattentive and lax about their jobs/roles to the gym. Second, it's important to see how a company takes care of you during a national pandemic. I was still charged club fees ($20/mo for my wife and I) for 5 months of the pandemic. My wife being high risk, we've been unable to go at all. When I called to cancel their upcoming yearly charge of $108 for both of us, they told us (to gouge more money since they've been bleeding it) they would only refund 50% and none of the prior club fees. So we have paid a total of $154.11 to not go to 10 Gym at all! Wow! What amazing business they do. Find a Planet Fitness or if you want actual caring people find a Golds Gym.
