Awesome swimming complex! We have been here on a number of occasions for swim competitions, and the facility is very impressive. There is lots of spectator and athlete seating, and the facility is clean and events are organized. There is plenty of parking as well.

This YMCA is by far the newest and cleanest. Toilets flush automatically. The showers don't smell. The ladies locker room is always spotless. Although only one hairdryer which hardly works. Their class selection is out of this world and the entire facility is legit! Indoor running loop above when you walk in. Daycare center where kids actually get attention at! Olympic style swimming pool which is huge!! Can't rave about this YMCA enough its by far the best!

I came here for the first time with a good friend of mine. We decided to get a workout in on a Friday afternoon at 5 pm. Therefore this review serves to primarily shine some light on the workout area. There is ample parking but the place was packed so we had to park in the farthest lot where the school buses were. We came to work out so walking wasn't an issue for us. The exterior of the facility looks great! It has a contemporary design and is very aesthetically pleasing. Once inside, we went upstairs to the weight room. The first I noticed were how small the lockers were. They were much smaller compared to other gyms that I've been to. When you walk in the first thing you see is a sea of cardio machines. Behind this section are the free-weights and resistance machines. Compared to the cardio area, the weight room section seemed much smaller. Granted it was a 5pm on a Friday, which can be a busy time depending on the gym, but it was very crowded. One example occurred when I was using the Smith machine. I was adjusting the weight on the bar so I could perform my set when someone, who saw me doing this, stepped in front of the machine so they could look in the mirror while doing dumbbell exercises. Again this review is only about the weight room as that is the only part of the facility that I used. Perhaps on a different day and time the experience would've been different. If you're going here solely to use the weight room, I recommend trying a different time.

We had no…read moreprior experience with working out regularly in a gym nor had we ever heard of CrossFit (which is the type of workout they use ). We quickly fell in love with both the physical challenges, service opportunities and the community and friendships we've made and have been regulars since. I'll break down the rest of the review into numbered sections for those who want more details. 1. Christian - first and foremost, the gym exists as a ministry to share the good news of Jesus Christ. This location is a branch of a gym based in Louisiana. In accordance with this, every workout begins with a 10-15 minute devotional and prayer. You do NOT have to be Christian to attend, anyone is welcome no matter whether you have no faith, another faith, or are against faith. 2. How it works - they offer FREE classes 6 days of the week(closed on Sundays). The gym runs on donations but there is absolutely NO obligation to. For those that do decide to donate regularly, there are 24/7 keys available to come workout anytime but the vast MAJORITY of people come to attend the classes. They also have a moving company(Strongmen Movers) & Christ Fit Thrift Store to support the gym. -9 AM: Monday thru Saturday -5:30 PM: Monday thru Thursday -5 AM: Tuesday & Thursday(most recent offering that began in 2024, there are plans to expand to 4 days at some point) 3. The workouts - they are CrossFit based and the classes last 60-75 minutes and it is a non-intimidating environment. People of all ages, fitness levels, injury history etc. attend and the instructors are very accommodating to tailor the workout to whatever is comfortable for you. They will demonstrate all the movements prior to the start of the workout and also roam around during the workout to provide feedback/adjustments as needed during the workout. There are 3 scaling options that are written for each workout for your current level of fitness. I can attest that many of the CrossFit exercises take months to master and are quite rewarding once they are. If you're interested in finding out more, follow them on social media(Facebook and Instagram) to stay up to date on ongoing events and information in real time!

I liked this location a lot more than the Quail even though this location is smaller in square footage. The layout is just a lot better due to the upstairs or upper level where there's all of the cardio equipment I didn't like majority of their upper body machines since, the handles are all slanted. I have shoulder issues so "neutral" grip positions for my wrist work better for me either vertical or straight across, but not angled. I was lucky and went during a day and time that wasn't too crowded. I probably shouldn't give out this precious information, but I don't come here regularly so, I'll do my good deed for today here on Yelp. I went on a Wednesday at 11AM, and I didn't have to wait for any of the cable machines or attachments, and I didn't have to wait for any of the upper body pull machines that day either. Upstairs seemed comfortable with a lot of cardio equipment still available. Not sure if I'd ever switch to Crunch especially with most people saying they have issues reserving a class, and the fact it's busy from morning to night. I wished they had capped the membership so, people could be comfortable, but I guess money is money, and being a corporate company, it's no wonder.... However, I'll say this location was clean, and comfortable when I went, but the equipment is not as good as Life Time's, and there isn't a pool, hot tub, or steam room. There's an infrared room, sauna, and I believe hydromassage and cryo, but I doubt it's easy to reserve with over 4000 members. I give this gym an avg rating of 3-stars. It's nothing fancy, the front desk people were courteous to me, and the bathrooms were clean which was a plus! However, the equipment area is so so, and 4000 members seems a bit too much.

As for Clovey P.'s previous posting referencing Lighthouse Fitness and the trainer she was assigned to, she had ever opportunity to address the issues she had regarding her trainer in the times that she was under contract. To choose this time, seemingly years after the fact, to address this in a public format to slander someone that she contracted to train her is not only bad but shows the lack of personal discretion and class. She violated the Yelp! Policies of conduct by mentioning an individual by their full name, in essence doxing him, and is doing everything she can to try to affect his livelihood. The trainer mentioned has been my personal trainer for several years, prior to the pandemic beginning, and has done everything he can to work with everyone that is assigned to him and has worked with my personal schedule on several occasions because...life. nothing that she mentioned is believable since it is behavior that I have never seen him exhibit during my time training with him when there are MANY people in the gym wearing form fitting workout apparel. Her stated personal appearance issues could have easily been addressed with the trainer ot management at the time that she was under contract since these are issues that should be addressed at the lowest and most direct level possible. She could have easily requested an alternate trainer much like anyone could request an alternate medical professional should they feel uncomfortable. This person should be flagged for their inappropriate posting and if they still have a contract with the gym, then it should be terminated post-haste to prevent further detrimental attacks of character to other workers. She needs to grow up and learn that she should adjust to the world, use her voice, and stop hiding behind a keyboard. I give 10Gym a 5 star rating, Lighthouse Fitness a 5 star rating, and the trainer mentioned specifically a 5 star rating (especially considering his professionalism and tact when dealing with pampered individuals such as Clovey P.

Isaac is really great about encouraging me to push just a little bit harder than I would on my own, and I'm learning a lot about form and how to do different kinds of exercises. He is exactly the right speed for me in terms of his manner - I don't do well with drill sergeant types. I do best with someone like him who is positive, encouraging and warm. We talk a lot while we're working out and I always love chatting with him. He also always remembers to play my favorite music which is a very important part of any workout for me.
