I cannot say enough great things about MSW. Initially when we moved to Oklahoma, I wanted a nanny…read morefor my kids but was recommended MSW by two colleagues and I am so happy we did. They treated my children as their own. Everyone in the building knew my kids by name. You can tell that the staff has a great passion for children. I started my daughter at 2.5 years old and my son at 6 weeks old and always felt comfortable dropping them off. Some key points that I found important were: 1. Cleanliness. I always saw them cleaning the toys and rooms every day. They also would close once every couple of months for scheduled deep cleaning. Even during the peak of he COVID-19 pandemic, I felt comfortable keeping my kids MSW. 2. Approachable/Available. The owner Scott and Tammy are constantly in the building at the front desk and available for any question or concern you may have. They are also very responsive to any concern and are in constant communication. They take great pride in MSW and are supportive of their staff. The director and assistant director are also always available and will call you personally if anything comes up. 3. BRIGHTWHEEL. This is the greatest thing ever. You will get updates about your children all day from pictures and videos to what they're eating ect. It makes you feel like you are a part of your kids day even while you are aware. 4. Education. Each age group has a curriculum that it follows and the kids are constantly learning daily instead of just free play all day. 5. Teachers. They are all very kind and treat your kid like their own. My kids fell in love with all of their teachers and would visit them even after they would move on to their next age group. They definitely have common interest to see your child succeed in all their milestones. Teachers that didn't even have our kids knew them. When we left Oklahoma, this was the saddest thing for me to leave behind. My greatest concern with any move is the well being of my children and this place made me feel at ease everyday when dropping of my kids. I feel lucky that we found MSW during our two years in Oklahoma and highly recommend it.

I understand things will happen with toddlers, and that isn't what shapes my opinion of this facility... it is how I was treated after removing my daughter from the facility. When I returned the following day to get my daughter's things and to return the key fobs - the director of the facility (who had previously been very nice), was now rude and icy. I stood in the lobby for a few minutes while someone got our things from the classroom and she didn't even ask how my daughter was doing. You would think that someone in the childcare industry would actually care about THE CHILD. Not here. And don't be fooled by the "schedule" they give you (which indicates circle time or other quieter times) or how they describe the toddler rooms as being 6 kids and 1 teacher... the older toddlers are in a room with 12 kids and 2 teachers. There is no structure, no downtime besides eating and nap time. They just ran around all day. My daughter was there for 3 hours a day and her 6 days at this facility has traumatized her.

Let me first explain that I am a career educator (20years) with both an M.Ed and B.S. in Education…read more The "lens" with which I view schools, teachers and administration is much more critical and intensive than an average parent. Our Kindergarten son, (almost 7) attends Goddard as a part of the School Age program (provided during local school breaks, holidays and vacations) - which is a lifesaver, as a working parent! We started at Goddard for Pre-K, and after attending multiple other franchise schools (Primrose, LaPetite) as well as one of the most elite private college prep schools here in OKC, I can tell you I wish we would have started at Goddard YEARS ago! They have met and exceeded every expectation we've had for our son. He grew academically and socially so much in his Pre-K year here, and entered Kindergarten at a private school nearby, way ahead of his peers. Anytime I ever had an issue, concern, or need, the teachers or upper management team rallied around us and made our son their #1 priority. They accommodated for him and went above and beyond to help him succeed and grow. They leaned who he was as a person and student, and figured out what he needed exactly. We were never once made to feel like an inconvenience or issue. Other perks of Goddard: Inexpensive Parents Nights Out every month!! Weekend Social/special events (fall festival, Christmas party, spring party) multiple times throughout the year! Special classes during the day for kiddos (chess, Spanish, etc), and much more. The owners, Misty and Jerry, may be the greatest, most skilled and inspiring hands on owners that you'll ever find. We're equally fans of all the directors and teachers. This is an exemplar, best practice school and hands down the finest for early childhood education in Edmond.

I knew this wouldn't cover everything, but I knew it would help to have an option. I now have someone helping us at home those two days, but she needed today off, and I desperately still needed to work. Our Mothers Day Out is also over at 2:30, so I can imagine some days when I will need to get her from there and bring her by here so I can get more of a full work day in when JJ's grandmothers are not available. The registration process is reassuringly lengthy - they are not even playing with this! They ask for a lot of important info and require current immunization charts (huzzzah!). It took them a few days to approve our application, but once you're pre-approved, you can bring your kiddo anytime. They charge a once a year fee of $70 per family and then $10 an hour for one kid. The price goes down to $15 per hour for two kids, and so on. Not too shabby, and the registration fee will quickly pay for itself if we use this much at all. She had an awesome day. She was happy to see me, but didn't really want to leave, and I think that is perfect. She lingered for a long time on the front patio smelling the flowers and then tried to get back in. We haven't activated the webcams but we will, not so much to check up on them but just to see how much fun she must be having. They supply snacks and lunch for a $4 charge per snack/lunch. Honestly, on a day like today, it was so worth it to not have to worry about what I would pack for her lunch. There is a 6-hour, DHS-mandated maximum, and you are heavily penalized for going over, so this really is a "Drop In" and not an all day thing. Today I needed to pick up our daughter by 3:50 to beat the 6 hour mark, and I got there at 3:30. But, she played so hard, she fell asleep about 5 minutes into the car ride and didn't even wake up when I got her out of her seat, so I'm back at my desk and back at work with a napping baby! Five stars plus plus!

The accountability from more people being present and the webcams make this more attractive than babysitters and the cost is comparable, so why not?! I heard about Spontaneity from a neighbor and I was immediately intrigued. We moved to Edmond a few months ago and I love it, but I miss my network of kid watchers and my mother in law! So, a drop in kids center sounded amazing. There are three steps to get in: 1. Take a tour. 2. Schedule an interview/meeting (review their policies with them). (2a. Sign up for webcam service--not required, but a benefit) 3. Drop your kid off. We visited for the tour and we were pleasantly surprised that our child was invited to play while we talked. We came at a busy time (Saturday evening) so we really got to see the place in action. The front door is locked and the gal at the desk has to let folks in (we gave a code we'd like for the door, so not sure how that works as everyone got buzzed in). The lobby area has a place to leave shoes and coats and there are special socks they like the kids to wear to avoid losing socks and for hygiene. We came back a week later to interview and our kiddo got to play then. This is great for those kids that haven't done school or been away from parents much to see how they do in a care setting. A few days later we dropped our kids off (five months and almost 4 years). I loved being able to watch them if I got that "I wonder how they're doing" feeling and being able to SEE everything. Also, they round time to the minute, so if you think you'll be 3 hours, but actually are 2.5, you'll get charged for two full hours plus a half--not three.

We have loved every interaction, experience, programs we have done through them. The staff are phenomenal, the management is top tier and as far as pricing goes this is by far one of the best priced facilities we have found. It is clean, organized, never smells like some other places do and everyone knows my children's name. I am extremely picky about where i send my girls and there is no place else I trust to care for and nurture them. I think you should give the place a fair try before writing nasty reviews because we've been a part of the program for 7 years and have NEVER had a bad experience.

Preschool Inquiry Experience - Proceed with Caution…read more I wanted to share our recent experience with FUMC Preschool in Edmond as a heads-up for other families considering their program. We reached out with a respectful and thoughtful list of questions--things like curriculum, staff qualifications, governance structure, and family communication practices. Nothing intrusive, just due diligence before committing our child to a school. After receiving no response for over a week (including a follow-up voicemail from grandfather), we followed up again to clarify and make sure the email was received. What we got back wasn't answers--but a dismissive email suggesting we might not be a "good fit" simply for asking for transparency, followed by the director stating she would no longer respond to emails and inviting us to "find her supervisor's info on the website." It was condescending, unprofessional, and incredibly disappointing--especially from someone leading a program that should be built on trust, communication, and partnership with families. We've since moved on, but I believe other parents deserve to know what they might encounter if they reach out with genuine interest. Asking questions should never be treated as a problem. Make sure the program you choose welcomes your voice, not shuts it down.

She has been to two other day care facilities back when we lived in IL. She cried every time I dropped her off at those and they were super high-end with excellent reviews. Now that she is at Goddard, she is super excited to get ready and go to school in the morning. Everyone, and I mean everyone, who works there is always smiling and helpful. They all know my daughter's name and greet her with smiles and excitement every time. They also have a shaded play yard which is hard to find in OK--I don't have to worry about her getting sunburned or the excessive use of sunscreen. I love this place.
