Seventh Heaven Massage Studio - Barbara

I decided to give this massage studio a chance. They had a great deal for first time clients…read more Barbara took over the business this year and has been trying to turn the business around. She was the one who did the massage for me. She was on point with realizing my trapezius muscles were really tight like others in the past have told me and also gave me some suggestions on how to help this issue. I had a relaxing massage. The ambiance once you enter the studio is awesome, the outside just looks ok. I would totally come back. The only thing I might suggest is better signage. I was a little unsure if I was in the right place because there was a massage studio listed but not the words seventh heaven until you reach the door which made me a little confuse. Everyone should give the new client special a try!

I had a deep tissue massage at Seventh Heaven last week and the only reason I gave it two stars…read moreinstead of one is because Jurij at least seemed pretty dedicated to his work. Everything else deserved one star. The receptionist was awfully rude and the waiting room smelled old. The massage table felt really unsturdy and the massage itself was pretty uncomfortable - I don't think I felt relaxed at any point. The worst part was the obnoxious doorbell that beeped about 10 times throughout the massage. The walls were paper thin and I could hear everything going on outside the door. It's hard to relax when the surroundings are so unpleasant. I'm not a massage connoisseur by any means, but I recommend going elsewhere.

Well, the massages here by Kimberly Rogers are awesome!! She takes the time to get to know why…read moreyou're there (in my case, an injury) & tailor the massage to your needs. You don't feel rushed, in fact, you feel like you're the only appointment, since Kimberly really treats you like she's got no one waiting & there's nowhere else she'd rather be. I'm going to separate my reviews to give KIMBERLY 5 stars. The price is right as well--about $80 for 90 min, with weekly specials. You're not going to get this experience in the valley. Good ambiance, she makes sure you're comfortable at all times. Definitely book with Kimberly!! ...Apparently you cannot write more than 1 review for a business. This is the part that I wanted to do separately: I had a facial by Marcie Cook. According to the HC Facebook page & website, "Marcie uses a state of the art facial machine." State Of The Art? Umm if you're looking to get a facial with antique equipment, then it probably is 1980s state of the art. Let me back up, though. I went from a nice, toasty massage table to sitting in what amounted to a sheet covered reclining lawn chair. The room was freezing. I've had numerous facials over the years, I thought since I was used to the massages at HC, I'd try another offered service. This was an epic mistake. Marcie is nice enough, but I opened my eyes to get a view of this machine. She put a brush head on (I've never been brush-scrubbed during a facial before) that looked like it was made out of dog hair & 20 years old. I was getting freaked out so I closed my eyes again. She then slopped product after product on my face, no explanations, no rationale, no info about my own skin. I told her I needed extractions (gross, but let's be honest here--that's why you get facials!!), she did like 4 or 5. I looked before I went in & there were at least a dozen spots to be attended to...I sucked it up, but for the price?? I can go to Massage Envy or Salon Aura. I'd rather get the gold standard than have a facial that was a subpar experience. I can stand in front of my mirror at home & slap product after product on, then incorporate my Clarisonic. Anyway-she continued to alternate products, used a rollerball ion thingy, another weird dog hair brush...finally put me in a clay (?? She didn't say what any of the products were) mask and gave me a choice of a) a scalp massage b) a hand massage OR c) a foot massage. High end salons feature both a scalp AND hand massage at the least. I should also mention the facial products smell like a cross between Lysol & powdery old lady bathroom. So NOT to distract from KIMBERLY'S 5 STAR REVIEW, but I'd give Marcie Cook 1 Star. I came home, washed with my products, used the Clarisonic & I'm back to where I started. Would NOT recommend the skin services. Just book the MASSAGE WITH KIMBERLY & take your pretty face to an Aveda/Murad establishment.
