We did not rent a tent, and were blessed with great weather. I would recommend a tent if you have more than about 80, as it would be a little tight. However, there's plenty of room for a tent. One of the best things about Camp Rotamer is that it rents for the weekend, and you rent the whole camp. We were able to decorate on Friday, use the facility for the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, and the reception, and then had Sunday to clean up. Several members of the bridal party camped out after the reception, too. The facility is definitely rustic, but if you decorate well, it can be stunning.

We rented the facility for my daughter's wedding and reception. We had 175 guests. It was perfect! The wedding was outside in the lawn surrounded with beautiful oak trees. Our guests enjoyed the outside patio. Our caterer served dinner in the beautiful dinning room and porch. Later we had a dance and reception in the spacious downstairs area. I would highly recommend The Gathering Place for any event. It was beautiful, and the folks there helped us with every detail.

Their building is a stunning display of history, but it also goes on forever. It would connect and then immediately drop. Boo. Shower - besides the mold, the shower never got more than "barely warm" for me and the mister. The staff is pleasant but for $150/night you can do WAY better, and you should.

Brittany Bobzien, at the front desk delivered outstanding customer service with a smile and a very positive attitude before we checked-in and during our entire stay. She gets a five star all day. The Hotel is decorated very nicely and was very clean. It also has an indoor pool for guests to enjoy. I had a very comfortable King Size bed in a very spacious room with a refrigerator and microwave inside the room. The bathroom was also very spacious and clean. The room provided Free Wi-Fi, AC, plenty of light and a large work area to complete by daily conference calls. They also provide a free breakfast buffet with pork and Turkey sausage, eggs, pancakes, waffles, cereal and milk and fresh fruit to name a few things. My overall experience was wonderful and I would definitely recommend this Hotel and location to my friends and family. It was the comfortable king size bed for me.

The food choices were also pretty limited, and since you can't bring your own snacks, it felt a little restricting. Nothing was terrible, but nothing really stood out either. It's a nice place to sit and enjoy the view for a bit, though I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back.
