Had a clogged kitchen sink which happens every year and is usually as simple as putting a snake down from roof vent and unclogging. I used 1-Tom a few years ago and they charged me around $275. Which I thought was high then considering it took less than 20 mins, but when they came down this time, they wanted to charge me $600 for the same job, I refused and was charged $79 for service charge for nothing. I paid and asked for receipt which was supposed to be emailed, but never was. I ended up buying an $80 snake and this 67 year old man got up on the roof and did the job myself for the price of the snake. With Their 100% price increase along with bad customer service, I would not use them ever again and suggest y'all don't as well. read more

While they offer competitive pricing, the service I received was far below expectations, leaving me with no choice but to seek alternatives. Michelle was especially rude and hostile. Given my experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Other companies provide much better service and professionalism. I noticed the water heater leaking last night around 830pm. After our last incident, I called someone right away. The customer service over the phone was amazing. She led me to the water shut off outside the home, and from the city just through chatting me through it. A tech was out here by 1030pm for a reasonable $140 emergency response. Wyatt Godwin was professional, honest, and showed me everything I needed to get us through the night in case I had to shut off the water main. To include DIGGING it out for me. He found a suitable replacement and gave me quotes for a new home shut-off (mine just spun in circles) and a new 40gal tank. I was contemplating tankless, but he said those are best with gas. He set me up with an early technician for the full replacement/instal of everything for under 3K. He then informed me that if anything should happen before 8am, I could shoot him a call on the company cell and he'd come back. Our window this morning was from 9-1400. At 1130, I recieved a phone call because Brenen Clemans was at the door and ready to go. My husband had been in the back and not heard him, so instead of just shrugging his shoulders and going to the next appointment (looking at you RIDD pest control) he took initiative. After just an hour he has already replaced the outside valve, removed the old heater, and is prepping for the new one. All three interactions were top tier. The techs are a delight and jump right in to business. If you're needing a repair, replacement, or a check-up, I highly recommend 1-Tom-Plumber. read more

I wanted 3 bathroom faucets installed. When the technician arrived he told me it's always a minimum of 299.00 per faucet if I'm supplying the faucets. The company refused to share that information before sending a technician. Once the tech arrives, you owe them 79.00 just for showing up if you refuse to pay their insanely inflated prices. This company is a scam. Stay away from them. read more

Tech was very helpful and courteous enough and left me with an estimate of $950 plus for replacing a filter housing. By chance today my neighbor had D&E Pump Service on  service call. I asked him if he would look at the filter leak. He came and looked at it and said it was an easy fix. In less than 20 minutes it was fixed with new parts and total bill was $254.50!! If this is not a total ripoff by 1 Tom plumbing I don't know what is. Taking advantage of a senior citizen with outrageous cost you should be ashamed! The Attorney General of Florida should be made aware of this type of service. I paid a $79 service call for nothing. I would have been taken advantage of for sure. Shame on them! read more

Highly recommend. I called at 6am Saturday because my water heater broke and was gushing water. The receptionist was nice despite getting called so early. Their tech, Shawn, came out same day 9am and was able to quickly figure everything out and replace my water heater. Very professional and nice. Happy with the replacement and the warranty that comes with it. It was a fair price for the service and replacement. Probably not the best deal in town, but great service. read more

Fantastic experience replacing our hot water heater! Came out same day and finished in less than 2 hours! Highly recommend!

Overcharge and techs are inexperienced. Called to unclog drain. Did not unclog drain and told me it needed another more expensive service. To run the snake down the drain was already over normal prices. Told them no didn't want the other service and paid them for the service they attempted to do and didn't complete. Called in another plumber who was able to unclog the drain by going further down the pipe for nearly half less of what tom plumbing charged me. Called them the next day to see if they could do anything about the charge, reduce it or waive it, anything. Was told no nothing they can do because unfortunately running a snake down a pipe isn't guaranteed. I won't ever use them again and will tell everyone who will listen about my experience. read more

1-Tom was called to evaluate and repair a blockage in my brother's main sewer drain lateral from his house to the sewer. I was called to authorize the service and was told it would be $450 for them to clear it if possible, and that a scope would be used to locate the clog. The clog was located about 15 feet from the house, but they apparently could not clear the line with their equipment. I was not there and do not know what they were using. An estimate was given to replace the entire lateral for about $1800. A friend was at the house at the time and said there was a video made. I asked for a copy of the video that they made but was not responded to. The friend told me approximately where they thought the clog was. We dug up the section of line that was about 18" below ground at clog. We found a very poor repair that used rubber worm clamp couplers and improperly matched pipe that had been performed by previous owners. I removed the poorly repaired section of pipe and installed the correct sized pipe and couplers. The clog was a mass of fine roots that had gotten past the mismatched pipes. It cost me about $60. When I first was told the initial cost would be $450, I thought the price was a bit high, but I gave them the go ahead because I did not have the time to deal with the issue. I will say that the $500 cost was not bad except that I had to do the work. I would not recommend 1-Tom. PS, the yelp review says I'm from Canada. I'm not too familiar with Yelp.
