Everyone around us was going Vinyl and because of that, we were dragging our feet and wanted something different. We just didn't know what. We told SRS and that's when they introduced us to James Hardie Board. We were able to pick out beautiful baked in colors that coordinated and blended everything together, especially with our unique roof. It turned out incredible. It gave us that 'New Home Buyer' feeling that we had back in '86. Our difference stands out in the neighborhood now as quality and appeal. We get lots of compliments from people passing by. The installation looked beautiful, and we were happy enough with the service to leave them a positive review. Unfortunately, just a few months later, several strands of lights stopped working. Because of the weather, we waited until May to contact the company about repairing or replacing the defective strands. We were repeatedly told that someone would come out over the weekend to fix them, but no one ever showed. This happened multiple times. Eventually, communication became inconsistent. Two weeks ago, Drew told us he had come by, determined that the lights needed to be replaced, and said he would return to make the repairs. Once again, no one came. When we followed up, he asked us how many strands were out, which was confusing if the lights had already been inspected. As of today, the issue remains unresolved despite months of follow-up. What began as a simple warranty or customer service request in May has turned into months of frustration. I believe a company's true character is shown not when everything goes smoothly, but in how they respond when problems arise. Based on our experience with the lack of follow-through and communication, I can no longer recommend Nature Touch/St. Charles Landscaping.

Skillcrafters was not the cheapest bid that I got, but the comfort level I had with Mike and his staff made all the difference in the world, and they were certainly competitive in price. They took care of everything. Plans, permits, etc all without me having to do anything. They started on time, completed everything within the time frame they gave me, and did a phenomenal job including cleaning up after themselves! As soon as it was completed, I was given the lien waivers from both the company and their suppliers BEFORE I wrote the final check, which is a relief. My deck is awesome. It is much better than the others in the neighborhood that were built by the builder or other contractors. Mine looks more solid, is bigger, and in the end just beats my neighbors in overall quality.
