I make an appointment for hauling away a queen size bed. I get off work early and wait and wait and wait. I'm of that generation that thinks that if one cannot make it for a scheduled appointment, one calls, texts or emails. That's three different ways the 800 Junk people could have told me that they were not going to make it. Why was I asked for this info in the first place if nobody was going to use it? That's a mystery that will never be solved. What is blatantly obvious is that the 1-800-Got Junk people are of the opinion that my time is nothing. I call the 800 Junk people the next day and to the lady's credit, she didn't apologize. I hate it when people apologize and they don't mean it. To the lady's credit, she didn't offer to find out why I was ignored either. I attempt to reschedule and all is going well until the lady asks me if I have a coach. No, it's a bed. She asks me again if I have a coach. No, it's a bed. The third time she asks, I said I'd leave a review and move on. I'm moving on. Almost forgot... Have a merry! read more

The crew manning the truck were very friendly and got the work done quickly. But... I was taken aback by the price. Looking at their website and what I was disposing of, I figured the price would be between $388 and $450. I was shocked after the one fellow called it in to be quoted over $600! Of course there were excuses, dump costs, gas, yadayadayada. And I could have refused it, but they were there and I needed to get the project moving. I even broke down the cabinets so they wouldn't take up much room. Convenient service, nice drivers, but REALLY overpriced. Won't be using them again I'm afraid to say. read more

The guys who came to remove a bed frame with mattress were very good. But when they saw the junk to remove, they said it would cost me $195. When I scheduled this job I was given a price of $80. I felt these guys were over-estimating the cost, since the bed frame was very light and there was no boxspring. If I hadn't gotten the price up front on the phone, I would have sent these guys away without doing the job. read more

They told me I was to be quoted upon arrival and they started packing before any quote was given. After half my junk was loaded the company then decided to say "Oh By the Way" it's 3,000.00 for the service....WTF?! read more

My sister and I called 1-800-GOT-JUNK at the last minute to help us clear out our parents' home. They sent Hunter and David out the next day and we were all very pleased by their service. They were patient with us at times we had some discussion about what items they were taking for junk. They listened to our parents and were very fast and helpful to get everything we needed cleared out. If we have more to discard on the next phase of their move we will definitely be calling again. Thank you! read more

Alex and Tanner did a great job!! These two guys are Rockstars On time, on budget and service with a smile

Just an update to my previous post, the company replied to my review asking for my email and personal info so I sent it, here we are 2+ months later and they never replied. I think they post the replies to make people think that they did something about the poor experience but I never even heard back which, in my opinion, is worse because they cheated me out of money first and after I gave an average review they tried to publicly pretend that they did something to correct it read more

If there was a minus sign on here I would be using it I told them twice not to mess with the electric box in the shed they were removing. I checked and they had cut all of the wirings and removed the electric box. Because of that, it cost me another $2,000 to get the electricity fixed. They also destroyed my well cover and removed a hose and reel that was attached to my well. I will never recommend or use these people again. Jerks!!!!! read more

Jose and Harry took away 3 oversized and heavy pieces of living room furniture and they made it look effortless! I've used the Manatee/Pinellas County 1-800-Got-Junk a few times before and have always been pleased. They called to inform me their ETA and they arrived right on time. This company hires the best people and the prices are affordable. Every employee that has been to my home was always friendly, professional and considerate, making sure not to scratch floors and the walls. This time was also a great experience however, the 2 men that showed up today, Jose and Harry, really surpassed my already high expectations! They were both so friendly, professional, and their "HULK-LIKE" strength made it look like they were moving doll house furniture! One piece was over 250lbs! It was quite impressive! I always recommend this company when someone asks. If you're lucky enough to live in the Manatee/Pinellas County and need ANYTHING gone from your home, definitely use this company! Make sure to request Jose and Harry though and if different people show up, you'll still be happy with them! read more

I made my appointment online, the night before, and had a truck at my home ON TIME the next day at noon. The team of 2 were terrific -- professional, quick, clean, respectful. I am so grateful for this service. Sometimes, we can't remove big, awkward stuff by ourselves. My favorite part is that if something is recyclable, they will get it recycled. I have used 1800GOTJUNK in 2 different cities now, over the course of many years, and I have always been pleased. read more

My wife and I had 11 closet doors that needed to be moved from the patio to the junkyard but we were unsure how to get them there given their weight and size. They stayed on our patio for 2 months while we debated how to move them. We were told of 1-800-GOT-JUNK and our problem was solved! It was very easy to schedule a pickup and the rates were explained to us before the stuff was hauled away. My wife and I never had to lift a figure because Andrew and RJ took care of everything. Not only did they remove the doors which we hired them for, they disposed of a shelf too and moved a heavy table onto the patio! It was an easy solution at a great price for all the work they saved us and the convenience of it! read more
