So glad we found this awesome place. Dropped in for a quick dinner - had the Supreme pizza ($14.50) and a shared Mediterranean salad (fresh lettuce assortment, ricotta, mandarin oranges, walnuts), plus a fairly priced imported beer ($5). Place has amazing hospitality. Our waiter was Andy, probably one of the best waiters/waitresses in El Paso that I have experienced. Actually just one of the best anywhere we have been. I have been in search of a good pizza for three years in this town. I have found it. 1/8's atmosphere is excellent, you walk in and you get greeted with the ambiance of a true pub, a small place where you see the kitchen to the left upon entering from the north side and to your front you're greeted with the fine liquor selection at the bar. 1/8 has a solid beer and wine selection as well. Now let's get to the service, my hostess/waitress was very prompt and amiable. I ordered a Peroni (gotta have an Italian Beer!) and then went for a custom pizza. The pizza's are the size where you can share with your date, or if you just went through a leg day you could demolish it yourself. I was about three-fourths of the way through my beer when she asked if I would like another which was the perfect time, I'd started looking around and noticed people were getting their food when they'd ordered after me. Based upon what I saw I deduced they may or may not have called in. I wasn't getting too ancy, but the waitress noticed this and went to the kitchen and came upon me with the message that they would be taking care of the pizza as they had mis-ordered the ticket. This happened probably about 30 seconds before I would have gotten ancy. And that is why you 5, i mean FIVE stars. Back to the pizza, it arrived hot and the chicken, pepperoni, sausage and tomato tasted excellent. Add some red pepper and garlic: shazzam. What an enjoyable pizza deep in the hood of El Paso Texas. The building is amazing too. The pizza was nice. Does it beat the best in New York City !? No but it beats nonas by a mile. I like the flatbread style and it was just tasty and so was the beer. Huge selection and service was great that night. I wish them success . As a regular patron of JVnB, I was excited to finally visit this place seeing as I've watched it come together over the past couple of months. Met a friend and we went half on a margarita pizza. First, let's start by saying the dining area is fairly small. The same can be said about the bar so I can see if people may have a discrepancy with the size of the restaurant. Environment was a bit noisy but I appreciated the music selection blaring through the system. Back to the pizza, we're brought out this fairly sized pizza to split between my friend and I. I honestly feel it left much to be desired. The crust was very thin and almost soggy. That is saying something when that's the texture when it arrives to the table. Taste was decent but not too great and the shape of it resembled the state of Mississippi (go ahead and google that; I'll wait). The wait staff was nice but everything was just okay. Pizza is a tough sell and doing it right will come to be as the establishment continues to operate and converse with their clientele. Still, I'm giving it an average rating. I hope I can eat here again in a month or two and the kinks will be worked out. read more

My husband and I went on a Saturday afternoon and ordered the Olives to start, the suprimo pizza, Mediterranean salad to split and (2) glasses of Malbec. Everything was delicious. We love olives and they had a really nice assortment in a rich oil. I normally order dressing on the side bc I don't like a lot of dressing-- I forgot and it was perfectly tossed with the right amount. The sweetness of the mandarin oranges and cheese were a Perfect combo. Now the pizza-- this is the thinnest pizza crust in El Paso. We love thin pizza crust and this was awesome! Been here twice and both times were enjoyable. Not the biggest bar on the block but that (in my mind) is not such a bad thing. Great place for couples to come chill and have dope pizza and some brews. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Wow!! We were intending to go to House of Pizza but as it closed at 6, found this spot of accident. YOU MUST VISIT! The pizza was fresh and crust crispy. We ordered the Suprimo, Margarita, Pepperoni and Pasta after the bruschetta. Each were hand made and impeccable. This is probably my favorite restaurant in that little area of Piedras street. The pizza is good, and I like that they have different varieties of beer. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and it's a cozy little atmosphere. The parking is problematic at times. Sometimes you can't find anything nearby, and it can be a little scary if you're alone at night and meeting up with friends there. Yeah so, my manger (who happens to be a woman) and I just left this place and we're beyond shocked/angered at what we had to put up with. As you see it's about 3 pm, we decided to take a late lunch and wanted to originally go to Salt and Honey which was no longer open for lunch so we decided to stop by this place "the 1/8 pizza pub" and try it out. First thing we see when we walk in is a group of 6 men (one of which was the manager) or so "wine tasting" in a table yelling at us to come in. We figure, it's a pub so we are bound to see some drunk people, pretty harmless right? We proceeded to sit down and order our food. As we did this, these men kept staring at us intently and yelling out "which one of us they would fuck first" and "I'd fuck that bitch". For the entire meal they kept this conversation going. My manger just kept looking at me like "is this normal for El Paso?" (as she is from Phoenix). We are two women in business attire trying to have lunch, what about that yells "I'm here for you to chose me like I'm your fkn property and yell profanities while you ruin my lunch"? I see on the restaurant's page "no reservations", "not kid friendly", maybe they should add to that "not woman friendly"... Pretty disgusting and pathetic! Sunday 12, 2017. Loving the atmosphere in this local standby. Feels like the little pubs in Europe. Great bar list and a solid Italian inspired menu. You wouldnt expect a place this size to have nine beer taps, left alone their wine list and cocktail choices. With beautiful wood accents and hand laid tile floor. This was a super cute restaurant/ bar. The look and decor of the place is classy. Our server was great. I had a Bellini that was truly delicious! I also had the Greek antipasto salad and margarita pizza. Both were very good. However, while there there was a lady that was talking so loud I couldn't hear the person across the table from me. She seemed to know the waitstaff, so I didn't bother saying anything. Just put a bit of a damper on my eating experience here. Pretty chill spot to go to if you just want some pizza and beer. They have much more to offer though. For drinks they have wine and cocktails. For food they have a bunch of entree choices but I love pizza and heard theirs is good so I went with the supreme. That was one good pizza. Went here with a couple of friends but it was a very tight space and parking was terrible. I'm not a fan of the environment as it was loud, there was some weird drunk stuff going on to the right of us, and it was very dark. My friends and I don't drink, we just went to try the pizza. I feel as though the staff pays more attention to those that are drinking than those just going to eat. It could have just been a one time thing, though. The pizza was a good size and decent price. We got 2 pizzas for 4 people and still took home leftovers. It was a good pizza but nothing special. I would not go back due to the environment. read more

The pizza seemed like it was made for someone else and they just didn't show up for it so they decided to give it to me to feed to my family. Amazing first time experience! The server was super attentive and he gave us really good recommendations. The food was delicious. I got the pasta and sauce with red sauce and shrimp. Was impressed by the size of the shrimp, they were huge. We also got the supremo pizza and the Mozzarella Cheese brick and they were both unbelievable. Just an FYI though for parents with small kids, they don't have kids high chairs but it's still very well a kid/family friendly place. We will definitely be coming back soon. read more

Says its kid friendly it was down the street so i(21yrs) took my brother(middle school age) and we were completely ignored and put in a cramped corner although the floor had open seating.
