Mask is a pretty good Chinese restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui that's worth a visit.
The restaurant is easy to find, right on Salisbury Road with large signs and plenty of frontage on the main street. It's also large inside, with lots of tables and no wait when we arrived for dinner. There only seemed to be one or two servers for the whole place, but they were efficient and service was never really an issue.
To be clear, the food here was absolutely delicious. My one gripe is that the portions were very small and are made to look bigger, including in photographs. The Sichuan spicy chicken entree, for example, was phenomenal, juicy and spicy, but despite looking like a huge bowl filled with chicken, was mostly peanuts and dried chilis, with maybe 4 ounces of chicken. Same with the other dishes such as the spicy fish soup; delicious spicy garlicky taste but only a few small chunks of fish. No big deal if the prices matched the portions, but this restaurant is more expensive than most and I just didn't feel that the value was all there. With that said, however, we simply ordered a couple extra of the most delicious dishes and left feeling full and satisfied.
Overall, a worthwhile experience if you're craving Szechuan food and you're in the area, but just be aware you may need to order a little more if you're really hungry. read more
