I was a little wary of even starting because I'm pretty sure the pain I am having is very similar to the times I had before my other surgeries. I had my first appointment which started right on time and I began exercises after giving a brief history of my knee problems. One week later, and I'm seeing so much improvement. I'm able to walk for longer periods of time without feeling the oh so familiar pain. Does this mean I don't need surgery again? I'm not sure until I see the doctor, but I do know that all the muscles in my leg and butt are much stronger and stable to support my knee. Physio Central is equipped with update workout machines and techniques to provide you with great rehabilitation. The therapists are trained around the world and are very professional and efficient. They work with children and have toys and games in the lobby to keep them occupied while waiting. The focus here is in getting you better so that you can go back to enjoying the actives things you like to do before your surgery. As an ex collegiate athlete, it's important for me to get treatment so that I can continue to be active and not just functional. This is made worse in HK if you do need GP help, and are an ex-pat. It can be daunting to go to an Chinese doctor, or difficult to find an English speaking doctor. If you are in this situation, I would recommend OT&P. They are primarily a family practitioner service, with a number of specialists doctors, running four clinics across HK Island. Think of them as your GP back in blighty, but with more doctors, more appointment availability, better healthcare. To be fair to the UK's NHS, OT&P are private, so you will need to pay or produce your medical cards. Dr Trodd at the Wan Chai practice is particularly good, I have always found his patient care excellent and recommend him highly. He also has an amazing view out of his office, so if you are uncomfortable being prodded and poked, you can always have a look out of the window across the harbour to TST. Just a few details for your digestion; the clinic is an hours clinic, as in they only work "working" hours. If you need out of hours care, you'll have to call 999 (there is some out of hours care for obstetrics). They are a dispensing clinic, so all the prescription meds are on site. No trip to Mannings for you then. There is also a lot of on-site testing that they can do. Personally, I have always found it very easy to get an appointment, but fortunately, I very rarely go. Super healthy me - yeay!

Got antibiotics and pain Med with instructions to return the next day. Had to pay my bill. I returned the next day and had to be admitted due to finger not any better. I was seen by an orthopedic surgeon . He did surgery that same day! I had to stay two nights for IV antibiotics! Great vegetarian meals! I was released And had to pay my bill. I continued taking oral antibiotics and pain Med with instructions to clean and change dressing daily. Went back for a follow up and my finger was healing! Dr Lam and hospital staff are caring, friendly and wonderful. Good skilled nurses. I was in a three bed room and I think it's wonderful that they let significant others stay with their loved ones through the night.

It's kind of strange to be writing a review about a lab, but everybody gets blood drawn at least…read moreonce in their life, and so it's great to have a good place to go to. I myself hate getting this done because I have small rolling veins, that want to hide whenever the occasion arises. This sometimes leads to the argument on whether the specialists should use a butterfly on my hand or not after I have suggested it. The most common line is, "let me take a look", followed by, "oh yeah, it looks like you're right." I also hear numerous apologies after rubbing a small needle around in my arm for a bit, then going on to my hand. Otherwise, it's, "Well the hand is more painful." This is hilarious, because it actually more painful to have a needle being prodded around in your arm for a period of time not to mention the week long bruise that follows. Enough about my issues, I like this place because it's clean, quick, and professional. They actually listen when I ask them to use the butterfly, and I have not been prodded. This is two thumbs up for me. The lab is really clean, and they work quickly! No frills, they just get down to business. I have just a tiny complaint with this place. I would greatly appreciate it if they would close the door when drawing blood. I don't have a problem with people watching me, but I'd rather not see others.
