You absolutely have to try the Sichuan cold noodles (川式凉面) , which are absurdly cheap and fantastic. Also they have no meat which was wonderful when my vegetarian sister visited. The garlic pork is also very tasty, but you'll want to get some rice with it. And if you're of European descent you get the added bonus of getting to worry whether you smell like garlic.

Food: 4 stars Value: 4 stars Recommendations: kale and pork jowl, Koh Soi We ended up ordering the fried garlic squid, the chicken Koh soi and the kale with pork jowl. The fried squid tasted a bit more like Chinese food then Thai but that is not a bad thing. The squid was tender and the crispy garlic pieces and black pepper really made the dish flavorful. The Koh Soi I also quite enjoyed. The broth really exemplified the coconut milk and curry flavors that characterize a Koh Soi. The chicken leg was also quite tender. If you like coconut milk you will enjoy this dish. Lastly, the kale and pork jowel was a really nice dish. The kale is cooked with lots of garlic. I hate when the kale is really bitter but that was not the case here. I am sucker for pork jowl and really love the texture. I prefer this over the pork belly which is more typical pairing with Chinese kale.

The salt and pepper with chili, garlic and onion was so good for the chicken wings. The wings themselves were ok and not flavored inside but it was quite salty outside so no matter. Tweaked it a bit and asked for the tom yum broth and egg noodles instead. There's an up charge for the broth but not the noodles swap. Excellent idea! The broth was nice and thick and not runny as how it is served in most Thai restaurants in California. Too bad I didn't think I would find this restaurant on here so I didn't take any photos. Also ordered the coconut jello for $48 HKG (- $6 USD) for dessert and it was good. It was nice and firm with a delicious coconut flavor and some coconut slices. Definitely order from here again on my next stop and take some photos.

There is a counter up front and tables in the back suitable for larger groups. I had stopped by earlier in the week with a vegetarian colleague and was told they had no vegetarian options so be aware of that (no issue for me). They have ordering online by scanning a QR code and it was easy enough to navigate; a server was helpful in making a few recommendations before I confirmed my order. The ramen came out quickly (it was early on a week night, so not busy). I had a BBQ pork option and it was good, though not as good as ramen that I have had stateside. I paid a small premium for extra noodles, but they came on a side plate so were somewhat dry and not as enjoyable as the main dish. Prices were quite reasonable, so if you are craving ramen I would say Ippudo is worth a try.

It's a relatively small place, but they've got a great vibe going on - Japanese chefs yelling out, friendly staff telling you what's good to eat, and customers happily consuming their sake. As the restaurant name suggests, they're most famous for their kushikatsu (fried skewers), a specialty from Osaka. Now you're probably worried that you'll be coming into a restaurant filled with fatty oil food, but surprisingly, the fried food isn't that bad at all, they're so tasty and light. My all time favourite is the fried cheese, omg, it's amazzeeeeballllllsssssss I promise!! Was in constant communication with my Korean homie throughout the dinner for advice on what to order and how to eat. They have a great soju selection ranging from cheap stuff to REALLY high end stuff so I was intimidated and just went for a good old rona x Yakult mix. See pictured. Food itself was pretty solid. I've had better meat but also worse. The service was also outstanding - the folks were very attentive and friendly and even gave a coupon and membership card so we'd come back! This is why I love the Koreans. Don't order too much food. It's more than it looks on the menu. I was completely stuffed by the end of the meal!
