Nice place nice food offered. Soup is great, ramen is acceptable. But the Underbelly Ramen in San Diego is still the best. Haha.

My favourite ramen place in NYC is Ippudo and when I yelped for ramen place while in HK, this popped up right beside my hotel!! Got to try it!! Went in and was immediately seated by a smiling waitress. Gave me the menu and after couple of minutes, came around and explained a little as well. Actually the menu was full of items which you don't see in NYC restaurants. Even the Ramen noodles are served in few different textures ( extra hard, hard, medium, normal, soft). Off to a good start!! Ordered a ramen dish which stated that is spicy. I thought I can up the anti and went for the "Most Spicy" option. The ramen bowl came very quickly. Tasted the broth before I mix the spicy ball that was in it. The broth tasted very nice, well salted, well balanced and could get a strong and deep taste from it. Loved the thin noodles. Mixed up everything and then tasted it!! Wow!! It was spicy!! Hit me hard and I was happy I ordered an ice cold coke... the ramen was very nice. The only thing I missed here was the pork in the ramen was not like the one you get in NYC. It was not torched ( I think in NYC they blow torch the pork in the ramen which kind of char it and gives a nice taste!!) or chard which kind of lacked the flavour. Overall it was a very nice experience. If I had to rate one over the other, would definitely pick the NYC Restaurants !!

Came here for lunch. No wait. Quick friendly service. I've been to the one in New York and Japan and have to say this one is closer in style to the New York one. So it's semi authentic. The ramen is pretty good. I like the flavors of the soup base. Not too salty and not too bland. Make sure to try the fresh smashed garlic. Not the best I've ever had but it does satisfy the craving without the hassle of waiting.

My experience at Ippudo Hong Kong was superb! I went to dinner with my cousin after shopping at times square across the street. And I love the ramen and poached eggs so I ended up ordering one more dish of the eggs! One of my favourite dish at Ippudo. The service was good and fast. And I will revisit for sure!

If you love the NYC location, like I do, you will enjoy this location. I generally go for an early dinner, before 6pm, so I have yet to experience a wait time. The menu is extensive and carries items not found in NYC like the "Bomb" Scottish Egg and frozen Kirin beers. Their menu provides a variety of snacks, fired rice and yakitori, in addition to their star ramen choices. The dining area is very clean, kid friendly, and not noisy. The staff was cordial and the atmosphere was very relaxed, unlike the NYC location. You also will be greeted in Japanese by the staff as you enter and exit. The pork belly buns were unfortunately underwhelming with two thin pork belly pieces and not enough mayo and lettuce. I was so saddened by it, since I love the buns from NYC. What I did really enjoy was the "Bomb" Scottish Egg. It's a bit strange that this is on their menu, but the soft boiled egg wrapped in juicy sausage meat, coated in bread crumbs and deep-fried was seriously the bomb! All beers are 2 for 1 (of the same beer) after 3pm. I would recommend that you order lots of appetizers and yakitori skewers, along with beers, as a great way to unwind with friends and family.

it's slightly better than other Ippudos in Hong Kong but not spectacular. The Hong Kong Ippudo chain, despite its insistence that it's connected to the New York location, is not even in the same league, so lower your expectations accordingly to avoid disappointment. that said, the ramen ($68-92) is decent, though broth can be too salty at times. The fresh garlic cloves, sesame seeds & spicy bean sprouts on the tables are a nice touch. Besides the ramen, I would give everything else a pass. The Silvercord (TST) menu offers a spicy salmon / salmon roe donburi ($88), which was basically a small salmon chirashi rice bowl drowned in Marie Rose dressing (not an ounce of spice, despite its name). The batter of the shrimp tempura ($78) is more raw than cooked. The pork buns, one of Ippudo's more popular small bites, are just depressing. if you're stuck with something not so appetizing, you can always drown your foodie sorrows with beer. Beers are 2-for-1 every day after 3pm, even on weekends & public holidays. Two bottles of Suntory works out to $38 with this promo. Service is mediocre at best & makes me wish tipping was optional. Always check your order because there are often mistakes with the order & you could be waiting a while for something that was never put into the system. I'm used to HK servers cleaning up relatively quickly, but servers reaching over you while you're still eating, without so much as a word, is just rude. In line with the food & service, the restaurant is never full and I've never had to queue for a seat, which is definitely an upside in an area like TST.

My FAVORITE ramen of all time! The broth is savory and delicious. Pork is fatty, but also meaty at the same time. There is definitely a wait during lunch and dinner times, but I think if you're a japanese ramen lover then you should give this a chance. Just pick a number from their machine (english is available) and go shopping in the plaza while you wait! If you're having a difficult time looking for this place.. it is across from Longchamp.

    Miso Akamura

Back again for another round of delicious ramen. Had the seasonal ramen which is the miso akamaru. It is a miso based broth with minced pork topped with spicy sauce accompanied with the thick yellow noodles. The spicy noodles was perfect on this chilly winter day. Don't forget about adding the fresh garlic that is available for mincing and the 2 cold dishes to snack on while you wait Also had the corn kaarage which was fried corn fritters that came with a sesame mayo sauce for dipping. Good stuff here and would definitely be back for more.

The fabulous chicken ramen! It's pork-free

Good quality ramen, very tasty and very consistent. I don't think the gyoza is great but the ramen more than makes up for it

Even the ground meat was covered in squid ink! This was a really good ramen, even if I did feel kinda thirsty afterwards. The noodles were Chinese rather than the Japanese ramen, which was ok, but it would really be better if they had the latter! The pork belly was so fat and thinly cut though, oh my gosh. You could add pickled radishes and veggies from little jars on your table (one was spicy and the other was very salty)-- both were delicious. You share that as well as any more spicy seasoning and communal water. My bf got the Red King and it wasn't as spicy as he thought it would be, and it is more chili oil than actual chili powder. His soup was salty as well. I quite like this place for its novelty ramen. If you know what you like, you can also customize your ramen!

I ordered a Noritama-Uma, and I was thoroughly impressed with what they gave me. They had a rich and flavourful broth and a very tender and juicy piece of pork, which is something I can't necessarily say about other ramen places that I've been to. Their noodles however were a tad soft considering how I asked for them to be extra firm, but otherwise it was very good overall. The soft boiled egg was fantastic, and still had a slightly runny yolk. The gyoza was very fragrant. The filling was tender, with just a tiny portion of the skin having a light crisp texture. The chicken karaage was also very good- the chicken was still succulent, but it still managed to have a light crispy outer layer. I'd rate my experience here positively. It's a little pricier than the places that I'm used to having ramen at, but they've got the food quality to match the higher price tag. This place is definitely worth another visit.

For the noodle that I ordered it comes with their "Jigoku sauce" meaning "Hell sauce", it ranges from 0.5 to 3. Most people should be able to handle 0.5 spicy. Level 1 spicy kicks it up a notch where you kind of can handle it, but you'd need to drink more water. If you got level 3 spicy, you'd probably have a stomach ache from it's spicy content.
