After a LONG day of walking, I wanted to get a massage. I cross-referenced Google and Yelp and was…read morelead to this location. Previously, I just walked in to an unknown massage place while exploring. However, this location, I actually searched. As I walked in to a dark massage area, I was led to a tiny bathroom to change into the shorts and shirt they provided. There were no areas to place our clothes, so I had to keep it with me. As I opted for a foot massage. I sat in a chair that reclined and the masseuse got to work. The massage was okay, but not the greatest. The pressure was a little weak. I asked for more pressure but it didn't seem much different. The prices were slightly higher than the other massage establishments in the area so maybe my expectation was a little higher. Overall, my experience was okay. It just wasn't the 4.6 star rating I was expecting.

Roughly $35-40 for 50 minutes! SO...My husband went to go check it out beforehand and comes back to my step-daughter and me and said "You'll love it!" He spoke with Jackie and she made wonderful suggestions based on our needs. Yuen is located just a few blocks from our hotel, so look for the sign, take the elevator to the 15th floor. You will be warmly greeted in absolutely euphoric atmosphere and very clean. You would have never guessed such a glorious place existed in an office like building. Slippers are provided. After waiting just a few minutes we were whisked to a room with 2 beds for my step-daughter and me. Masseuses were phenomenal, complete quiet relaxation. Post massage, warm tea and a gelatin like dessert was served - very tasty. Husband also decided to get a 50 minute foot massage while we got massages and scrub and all 3 of use received treatments for ~$110 USD. Jackie who helped us was an excellent and gracious hostess, everything was professional and yes.....worth every single penny. This experience is definitely worth a visit when in this neighborhood or a tourist looking for a massage after long travel!

Thanks to a recommendation from a local friend, we found this great place…read more It's conveniently located right by the MTR Jordan station, on the corner of Nathan Road and Austin Road. It's just beyond the border of Tsim Sha Tsui, and we are so glad that with an easy 10-mintue walk, we bypass the tourist traps (have yet to find great massage place in TST), but get to enjoy some solid good massage as locals do. A foot massage for 50 min is HK$138, a Chinese tui-na massage $168, Swedish $208, but you can get a two-hour combo for less. The place is clean and relatively spacious. Walking in there is the reception and beyond that, a big room for foot massage. There were two of us, so they gave us our own rooms (one for foot massage, with TV, and a different one for body) without paying extra. The masseurs are top-notched, they worked the muscles without being too harsh, and they knew our problem areas and spent extra time working them without us even mentioning it. I'm also happy to find that they have those wooden bucket foot steamers. However, the foot and body combo is enough pampering for a day so I didn't get to use them on our visit. Highly recommended.

This was a fantastic foot massage experience. Professional, welcoming, meditative, tranquil,…read morerelaxing, boutique spa feeling. It smelled absolutely lovely, there was a smiling welcoming face behind the registration desk when we stepped off the elevator into the calming, dimly lit lobby area ...all the touch points of a great spa experience. You pay for the experience of all these great customer service points (price was $360HKD, just feet, short a little tip....50 minutes), but if you are looking for just feet and not the "experience of tranquility," I am certain you could find it less expensive elsewhere. Wrapped up in the cost is an unspoken level of experience. Let it also be said that this is my first foot massage in Hong Kong and thus my bar of expectation has been raised. I have had countless reflexology treatments in the US, but it is just not the same to the real deal you can get in Hong Kong. My husband says that compared to this, I will be dissappointed with the esthetic, feeling and atmosphere of other massage spots in Hong Kong, but maybe not disspointed with the actual service. We did not have an appointment and had to wait for about ten minutes for both my husband and I to be taken on a Sunday afternoon. We were in a communal room with eight other chairs, although they do have private rooms for parties or just solo stuff I suppose. Rooms and chairs are tastefully decorated...wood, tile, cream colors, dim light, clean. They were completely full and room was busy, but still respectfully quite, tranquil and relaxing. After a short neck and upper back massage that is simply part of the routine to their foot massage experience, I found my esthetician to be brutal and beautiful. I suppose I prefer a foot massage that really digs in there and works things out versus fluffy rubbing. I am certain she would have taylored it back in the pressure had I asked, but it was great. She had good kneeding thumbs and fingers to really work on my feet and calves. She was good at her craft...it was clearly not her first rodeo! They have healthy drinks you can purchase and also have pedicure options. Another thing I noticed...everyone is in the company uniform, so you notice the corporate culture touch through the uniformity of look. I really enjoyed my experience at Ten Feet Tall and look forward to returning. You feel so good upon leaving, the question on tipping becomes a question in my American head (we tip the US...we just do...it is a custom...)...it was such a good experience, I just want to give them a tip. This was the only question and topic of debate in my head upon departure.

Sure, it's pricier than Happy Foot, or other foot massage places in the area, but I'm coming here for more than a rub down. I want to feel relaxed and spend the next 50, 75, or 100 minutes in a tranquil environment. The common area rooms here are just as good as the private rooms, so don't waste your money on that. There's free wifi and a nice juice menu. They also offer "happy hour" specials (discounts on foot massages during downtime hours) during the week, so take advantage!

Everyone loves a good massage. The ultimate for me is a Thai Yoga massage, where limbs are bent,…read moreall corners of the body are stretched, and the relief from the intensity is second to none. I have to admit I wasn't expecting much from Thai Zone; a newish massage spot on the second floor in the Rose Mansion amid the chaos of TST, but it was what I was hoping for: clean, affordable, authentically Thai, and above all, very satisfying. This area of Kowloon is fairly dodgy, but surprisingly Thai Zone's facilities are anything but. The floors were redone and super shiny, the odor in the room had this tart incense like aroma, and the massage chairs were comfy. The owner, Murphy was quick to greet with a cup of Thai tea, which was lukewarm fruity blend of something wonderful. By the end of my session, I had no less than 10 mini cups of it. I think I could drink it all day. We started off with a change into flexible pajamas and then a 45 minute foot massage, which was done by one of the Thai masseuses. While grinding the gears of my feet, she was able to converse in a variety of languages, which was mighty impressive. I won't lie, the foot and subsequent leg massage was incredibly intense to where I had to bite a towel for a minute or two, but I was assured this was normal and supposedly better for loosening up the muscles. The rule of thumb is to bear the pain and embrace the comfort after the fact. Then it was off to the races with the back/body massage. I was always used to Thai massages being conducted on a floor mat than a massage bed, but it didn't matter: She got me in poses that would make any yoga warrior proud. The one that provided the most relief was one where her feet were on my back, her arms were pulling my arms and soon my back responded with a series of clicks that were chiropractor worthy. There were moments where I nearly fell asleep. It's only a matter of time before I visit this gem again, especially when the joints are feeling stiff and the knots are invading again. Lastly, call ahead of time for 10pm or later visits and be sure to bring cash as they don't accept credit card yet. A little gratuity never hurts for the masseuses and drink all the tea that you can!
