Seth, the guy behind the counter gave me a free slice and it was rich and melt in your mouth tender. We ended up buying a couple of chicken breasts which looked like well, chicken. I haven't seen a chicken here that wasn't a little gray and shady looking. I'm really looking forward to coming back to pick up some bacon and sausage or any of the other charcuterie they do in house. I was pretty happy moving here and because this place is close by, I'm even happier.

Kudos to our Server Ricardo, every time he made us feel so welcomed and relax, its like going to a good friend's home for a lovely meal! We have been here multiple time since returning to HK from Vancouver this March and never disappointed! Make sure you check out their weekly specials, they also have a market where you can get other imported ingredients if you wish to cook at home. Parking validation is available.

Their logo is hunter green & white and I can rely on finding a good variety of food labels I am seeking. I would say the brand is consistent. Maybe because I am American, this store and this Market Place by Jason's brand appeals to me. I think Market Place by Jason's and Wellcome might be in the same corporate family believe it or not (as most grocery chains are really globed together under the same umbrella in the world like this), but clearly Market Place by Jason's is there upscale brand in the family compared to Wellcome. Their layout and their marketing are completely different. Anyway, Wellcome's are not my favorite, but Market Place by Jason's are good by me. Located at the base of a large apartment complex, this might be the best international grocery option available in that are with brands like Nestle, Coke and organics.

For local and produce, they do a fair job in terms of selection and quality, but if you have other convenient options, I wouldn't recommend coming here for produce. They often run out of basics produce like lemon, onions so you never know if they will have what you need. They do keep adding new things to the shelves so that makes it interesting for regulars like me. The down side is that they may one day decide to stop stocking the things that you have been expecting to find on a regular basis: for example i now go elsewhere for yogurt, tomato soup and orange juice.
