I thought at that moment that all places looked like this. When I moved here, I was quick to learn that was far from truth. CEO is just more presentable. Its situated on the corner of the block in Causeway Bay, across the road from Victoria Park. It has a capacity to hold roughly 600 people over several floors. The rooms are spacious surprisingly private. The song selections are plenty in both Chinese and English. As usual with most karaoke places in Hong Kong, CEO offers different specials throughout the day. There is a lunch buffet, tea buffet, and evening buffet all for reasonable prices. If you're not there for the food, you have other options. For those strictly there for singing your heart out and boozing with friends, you'd be happy to know that the price you pay per hour is also how much credit you have towards ordering your own bottles of vodka or whiskey. They have a few choices for mixers you can choose to come along with your alcohol. If you drink over your credit, you would just have to settle the bill in the end. One thing to note, is that you need to be a member in order to book a room here. If you're not a member, that isn't a big issue. All you need to do is pay the 'member's fee' of $10HKD, fill out a small form, and voilà, you're set. Be sure to book at least a few days in advance if you're looking to have a big group with you during the weekends and especially during holidays. The staff here are nice and friendly. Most can communicate with you in English and all very happy to help. The overall cleanliness of the establishment is good. I would definitely recommend this place to people that enjoy a good karaoke session in Hong Kong.

When you think about night life/entertainment, what comes to mind? For me, it's dancing, drinking, dart, snooker, beer pong and karaoke. They have all of the above - aside from dancing. This place is not massive but considering their space, they make really good use, they have a bar where you order drinks, but where people do shots as well; there's a lounge where you can sit and play drinking games; there's a karaoke room that's adequately sized, sits about 10-12 people. Beer pong - which was what we were doing, and pool. It feels like no one could ever get bored here.. ever! They close at 5, we were there until then, and even though we were all falling asleep, at least everyone wanted to stay to finish their games. I really like the beer pong area, i know, i know.. it's just beer pong. What's special about beer pong here is that there is a regulator! Their staff acts as a referee, whilst providing table service (ie. pouring the beer). Even if you were drunk, it's good to know someone is sober enough to give you all the rules. The booze here is also cheap compared to a lot of places, making it more accessible to drink more! In my opinion, it was a little too bright for a drinking place, so they could have dimmed the lights a little bit. I think we all had lots of fun. Will be back!

Drink prices weren't particularly cheap and the the referees for beer pong really threw me off, as well as the rules that were played with here: Referees racking up 4 times during the game, no roll-backs, 2 extra cups taken away when both partners sink the shot, the opportunity to death cup or get death cupped without a chance to take the cup away, elbows/arms/bodies allowed to lean over the table. Doesn't make for my kind of game...#Murica The staff here was very friendly, with our referee in particular who was very helpful giving us tips on where to go in Hong Kong during out visit. It also seemed like a very local joint, as I didn't hear a lick of English and all Canto. For someone who has ADD at bars, this is a really solid spot. I would have never known this was here because it wasn't on the ground floor in a random building.

Review #3,500: When…read moreNathan Left (彌敦左岸) opened up in TST along Hart's lively nightlife road, I was super pessimistic at best. Who was Nathan and why did he leave? Is this another gwai lo bar taking over the local grime and pubs from yesteryear? Since I lived right around the corner, I figured it was important to see what the deal was. Here's the deal: This place is awesome and over the past 2 years, I've become a regular. Of the M1 nightlife establishments, Nathan Left is certainly the most unique. The exterior features a classic Hollywood marquee sign, along with open door seating at their downstairs pub where there is just enough room for people to enjoy a view out on the street while drinking a pint. The second floor, where a majority of the people are is stunning from a decor standpoint. It is mainly a lounge with very contemporary decor pieces and dynamic ones that change in from night in to night out (depending on their theme) along with tables, a stage, a classy bar, and a performing stage. Hidden in the back are pool tables, a karaoke room, and even beer pong. When I say I was blown away by the place, I was even more taken aback when I came back on different nights and the interior was transformed. One night was for a movie night and it was 1920s flapper party and the next night it was b-boys, big beats, and a hell of a hip hop night. For most other nights, it's a showcase of some of the best Filipino cover bands one can find. The menu is mainly a mix of western food, which like any M1 spots are typically grossly overpriced and typically mediocre. I was however, impressed at some of the items, such as their "wurst" sausage variety, and even their $650HKD steak which was exactly how I wanted it -- medium rare. Even I was surprised when I found their hamburgers and pizza to be strangely tasty. Despite all of this, I'd still opt for their drinks more than anything. The drinks are standard, but well done. There is a pretty solid selection of whiskey, and some beers on tap. It's not the most extensive selection of alcohol by any means, but it'll more than do the job for people who can order typical cocktails. The staff is young, professional, and very multilingual. My first few visits here were taken care of by Jordan, who despite looking like a fella from Ireland, was in fact a Hong Kong native and mercilessly trolling folks with his flawless Cantonese. The same for the gorgeous Zasha, who served every drink with a smile. Or absurdly friendly Jerome, who knew exactly how to get the party started. Finally, the manager Tony would give a hearty handshake to his regulars every time they entered / exited the joint. It seems like a moot point by now, but this really was my nightlife home away from home. It was a fun occasion any night of the week, a great place for a date, group fun, or a solo drinking session. And finally, an awesome place to listen to quality music and indulge in great company.

This bar is a gem, with an extensive and detailed drinks menu that includes classic speakeasy cocktails, a diverse selection of beers (for Hong Kong), and even WINE that won't break the bank, a welcome sight for westerners longing for a glass of vino after enduring the usually devastating wine prices in Asia. The real reason to come, however, are the cover bands. This bar makes more than adequate use of its upstairs space to host spectacular cover bands that will truly play you any song in the world. My understanding is that this is not that weird a thing in Hong Kong but for westerners it's pretty magical, so that is my lived experience. Decor is fun, eclectic and cozy. Ample seating upstairs even when busy.

There are 2 venues, and this review is for their 2nd one which allows for late night use. The prices are very reasonable (from Dec 2015, the prices may have gone up since then, but for reference only): Refundable Deposit to secure venue: $500 Price per head for 3hrs (Mon-Thur, 11am-6pm) HK$82 Price per head for 3hrs (Mon-Thur, 6-11pm) HK$118 Price per head for 3hrs (Fri - Sun/Public holidays, 11am-6pm) HK$120 Price per head for 3hrs (Fri - Sun/Public holidays, 6-6am) HK$160 *Extra hour after the first 3hrs = HK$300 per hour (before 11pm) *Extra hour after the first 3hrs = HK$400 per hour (after 11pm) *Price including all soft drinks and all the facilities in the room *21/12-31/12 count as Christmas public holiday price *10% service charge *Min 10 people during weekdays and 14 during weekends It's BYOB so we broguht a bunch of wines, beers and hard A. They have: Basketball hoop machine (One out of two was broken) Karaoke Machine Laptop with internet (can play youtube videos for Karaoke) Wii PS4 (can bring your own games) Pool Table Darts (Kind of broken scoring) Boardgames (Jenga, monopoly, etc) Cards Dice Speaker (to connect to music) Mahjong (not sure if they have a table) Fridge (Not that big) Glassware and paper cups/shot cups Wine Glasses (not that many) Once I went in, I was greeted by a stench of bleach. It was quite offputting but once you hang around long enough, you'll get used to the space. The decor was decent, akin to a random bar in Wanchai, so don't expect high end (photos look nicer) but for the price, I was very satisfied. There was one nice girl who was manning the space and she was helping me with pouring out the drinks and putting the wine in the fridge. The venue is spacious, approx 1000sq ft with a decent bathroom. It has a large couch that can easily fit 6 and a table with bench that can squeeze 6 people, there are also a couple stools by the balcony. We had 20 people comfortably and I would say it can fit up to 30 people without feeling like a club. I had wine delivered a couple hours before the event and it was smoothly received, however this has to be coordinated. Overall it came to about $200pp including alcohol for 3 hours of fun. Definitely recommended! I reckon Blackroom 1 may be cleaner since Blackroom 2 is used for drinking and 1 is just for day-time use. *** Tip: Book in advance! BYOB, snacks, games if you want, PS4, music Favourites: Reasonably priced and friendly staff. Responses were fast. Meh: Smells of bleach Last words: Great party venue and centrally located
