The boat ride is short and sweet but unique. I think most shopping mall play areas do not have a boat ride. For each child to ride the boat, parent supervision is required. There was a line during our visit and our wait was approximately 20 minutes. The ride itself is probably two minutes long but the kids enjoyed it and saw different characters along the way. The whole play area seems a bit dated and could use a refresh.

I will try again tomorrow) I've been to 2x Mong Kok (Lost Den & Aching Time of Pi) and 1x CWB (Level 6) All the rooms have been really fun! The Lost Den was easier and was also the first one I ever did. It was a steady progression to find the clues, not like some of the others I've been, where it was nearly impossible to find the clues. The decor at Lost HK is nice too. There's even mechanical/machinery decor. Some of the other ones I've been to were just props. Lost HK spends a decent amount on their renovation and it shows! I went with colleagues as a team building activity and with friends. I personally think 4 people is best for these games, 6 is usually too many and you have some people standing around because you only get like 3-4 flashlights. The unlimited hints was really helpful. I think we annoyed the workers there heh. Their english was not so good though. So probably better speaking to them in Chinese. They do sell drinks but bring your own if you want. They have lockers for your bag, you're not supposed to bring your phone in. Which may be a good thing, phone-free for 45 minutes, that's a rare occasion these days! *** Tip: 4 people for maximum productivity. Book early and online. I've gotten coupons from groupon/beecrazy before but even without, it's cheap. If this is your first time, I recommend you do an easy one. It's not as easy as you think! Instead, we have kids staying indoor learning piano, violin, etc as young as 5 years old. So I always appreciate outdoor activities for kids and this is one of them - Noah's Ark. Opened in 2009, Noah's Ark is a rather new tourist attraction and it mainly caters for family and kids. How can you call itself Noah's Ark without the actual full-size simulation of Noah's Ark? I was pretty surprised when I first saw it as I thought it would be a much smaller scale but as the park's centerpiece, it does not disappoint. As an informative and religious place, this place allows visitors to learn about nature, family value and also the harmony. The highlight of this place to me is the "Ark Expo" where you can enjoy multimedia entertainment, for example, you may have a look at the short movie in the "180 degree Theatre" and see how Noah's ark came to its being. And I really do love the Ark Garden where you can have pictures with the replicas of the animals. Nevertheless, there are a few things which sort of put me off a bit. First is the religious theme is everywhere. I should not be surprised being coming here but as an atheist, I really do believe they have over-done it a little bit and you can almost feel that they are shoving those beliefs down your throat; second it the location, it seems like this place is too secluded, being located in Ma Wan, Noah's Ark is the only thing you can be here and the trip to here takes up most of your day already... regardless, I still love this place for kids to run around.

But when I came here I was impressed. It must've been the lobster night because a lot of the dishes had lobster. They had a really good salad bar with plenty of options. Even with a timed ticket, there was a wait and crowds of people. Ocean Park is a whole day adventure. I absolutely love riding the cable cars from one end in Aqua city to the other end in Marine World. The waiting line can get very long for the cable cars, and we were fortunate enough to have our own. What I love most about this park is how it feels like a mini Disney World, a mix of looking at animals and also having theme park rides like roller coasters and the raft ride (which you will very possibly get wet!). While my motion sickness limits me from riding theme park rides, I enjoyed the ocean park tower overlooking most of the area, offering spectacular views from the top and the different fun animal exhibits with penguins, meerkats, aquatic creatures like mini jelly fish and sea dragons. Old Hong Kong was a nice walkthrough displaying the 50s to the 70s. The antique shop fronts were beautiful to look at. Usually I would ride the cable cars back to the entrance to leave but this time I rode the Ocean Express which felt like an underwater submarine.

I am glad we brought our young daughters, 6.5 and 5 years old, on a Thursday in November. The weather was in the mid 60s (approximately 18 degrees Celsius), so we thought it was very comfortable. We went on the carousel and some simple rides. The park was not crowded at all so there were no waits. We also checked off several exhibits: panda, red panda, sea otters, walruses, sharks, and penguins. The panda exhibit was probably the most popular and we had to wait in line for approximately 10 minutes. For food, we really enjoyed what they had to offer at the Old Hong Kong. We shared soy sauce stir-fried noodles, fried fish ball siu mai, fried chicken leg quarter, egg waffles, and iced milk tea. They are very standard, classic Hong Kong street food. I was a bit disappointed that two of the food kiosks were closed because I wanted a bowl of cold tofu pudding. We would consider revisiting when the girls are older because there are several roller coaster rides for older kids by the North and South Pole sections. A few other positive notes: The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The MTR is super convenient.

The playroom is well-stocked with plenty of interesting toys to keep active kids entertained while waiting for class to start, and of course for the all important 'mummy chit chat' time afterwards. My daughter loves the class. No one expects the toddlers to sit still and pay absolute attention. They are encouraged to do their own thing and dip in and out of the 'lesson' - and I use that term very loosely, no fear of Tiger Mums here. The idea is to use song, dance, instruments and mothers participation to help build toddler's confidence, self-control and language skills. The all-important repetition means the kids pick up the movements to the action songs after a few sessions, and look very proud of themselves! It's also a great way to introduce musical instruments (aka noise making machines) in a safe (read not at home) place where - most importantly - we can leave them behind!
