There are a ton of egg puff shops in Hong Kong, but this one has good marketing and made the experience just a little bit better by adding extra options, such as March flavoring in the battery and Nutella, along with many other toppings. They also provide each customer with an order number and show they number on a screen when it is ready, which makes things easier when so many languages are being spoken.

They visited Oddies and we wanted to try egg waffles so we walked there. Getting there was admittedly a steep trek but it was completely worth the walk. It's a small shop that was easy to miss, but there was a nice spot to sit down inside. We bought the Fancy Pants parfait, which was somewhat pricey (about $10 US). We opted to eat it on the way back to our hotel. The gelato was soft and creamy, and had multiple layers of tantalizing flavors (peanut butter, cookie chunks, etc.). It was super flavorful and delicious. The egg waffles themselves were crispy on the outside and custardy and soft on the inside. They were the perfect amount of sweetness and absolutely delectable when eaten in a spoon with the ice cream. This was so, so yummy and unique- definitely somewhere to go and wish we had time for a repeat visit!

I've been here a handful of times and the only mistake that I made was ordering a durian dessert. I mean, how bad can durian be when smothered with ice cream? The answer...pretty bad. I just can't get past the smell, but if you like durian I'm sure one of these choices would be delicious. The service is pretty consistent as long as you get their attention. The desserts usually come out pretty quick, but give an extra 5 to 10 minutes if you order the chocolate lava cake.

After deciding against the set, I selected my two croissant sandwiches (insert eye roll here) and asked for a cup of ice. She agreed, accepted my $190HKD - which I thought was steep for a sandwich, a mini sandwich, and a bowl of fruit - and promptly forgot about the cup of ice, which I didn't receive until I asked someone else for one. The issue is not that she forgot, it's that she was standing there when I asked again and impassively stared at me like it wasn't her job to be dealing with such trivial requests. Overall, it's a nice space with really beautiful bread products, but I hate being made to feel unwelcome or burdensome to a restaurant's managerial staff, as I was anything but rude.
