This place used to be another ramen joint called Agura that was ran by 2 Japanese guys. I guess the business had gonna so good that they had to find themselves a bigger space. So not long ago a local chef had took over the least and changed the name. Just like other ramen joints in this city and in Japan, it's small - 10 seats only.
Following tradition customers are seated in front of the "kitchen" in a long table, menu is limit to ramen only and there are only a few choices on broth.
The Black Garlic Oil Ramen (pork broth, 1 slice Japs BBQ pork, and 2 slices of Nori) we ordered were as usual as anyone would get from any ramen shops in true ramen store. Broth was rich and thick (a little too salty to my taste), noodle was good (a little over cooked to my liking). And the chef does take heart of his product that he asks every customer of their opinion.
Final word, I have had better ramen for the price they charge, and that's why it's only a 3-star. Good luck to the chef in this highly competitive ramen market, it's very tough. read more
