It is an apartment...walls, a kitchen, a bathroom, windows...you get the picture. The apartment, although newer because is was built around 2010, is just like any other apartment you might rent in the area of Sheung Wan or Hong Kong. One Pacific Heights is a 5 star Yelp in my opinion though because of the service we received from the staff from the moment we moved in to the day we moved out. Gilbert, Henry, Tommy and the entire team really are what made our experience at One Pacific Heights exceptional. They were quick to address and assist us with any issue we had with our apartment. From A/C issues to making sure our dry cleaning found us, the staff at One Pacific Heights treated us with professionalism, courtesy and care. They made us feel like family. Not everyone on the staff speaks English, but that did not diminish the hospitality or service we received. The apartments themselves are quite nice. Newer, Miele kitchens with clothes washer, lots of light, balconies and only four apartments on each of the 50 floors in the building. Swimming pool and workout facility as well. The building itself is very close to a local dai pai dong, the MTR, the Fusion grocery, dry cleaners and more of the local feel of the famous Hong Kong spice district. Although there are many expats in the building from all over the globe, the building is settled into a very local neighborhood and it always felt more like a true Hong Kong experience to me (maybe versus living amongst a bunch of Americans in the mid levels, as many people do). The apartment was good, but the service from the staff is exceptional. This was why we would recommend One Pacific Heights to anyone looking for a new home

The set up is like a shopping plaza, but it's a bit run down compared to what you're used to in HK, but don't let that scare you away because there is seriously some bomb food vendors here. Had some of the best hainan chicken rice here. There's the gai daan jai (egg puffs) place that's been featured on CNN located up in here as well. Any type of food you can think of you'll probably find here. If you're taking the MTR here, it's literally across the street from the Sai Wan Ho MTR station. Also accessible through the ding ding (cable cars), which is also cheaper than taking the MTR if you're coming from the HK side already. Just be sure to take the Shau Kei Wan bound ding ding.

Yesterday was my first time at the club and I was first impressed by the pieces of art displayed both in the tea area and upstairs (where there's a museum that could qualify as any European museum), and the buffet that was being prepared, very simply laid out and looking so delicious. We sat down for half an hour in the comfy armchairs upstairs and finally tried the buffet - it's got nothing to do with hyped buffets in Hong Kong...for a very reasonable price you could have anything you can think of: mussels, lobster, sushi and sashimi, assorted cold cuts, salad bar, fruit bar, hot dishes (lamb shanks, lamb and chicken curry, steamed fish, veggies...), noodles bar, pastries and breads of all kinds, foie gras, a dessert's section and a fondue. And I'm sure I've missed something. I tried a little bit of everything and ended up extremely full, everything was scrumptious. We headed to the library afterwards; what a nice, elegant and eclectic place it is. Browsing around the books and magazines we realized there were faces of famous singers in every shelf all around the library - we thought it was a great detail that shows freedom of expression and in turn makes you feel like you're in a place where you can express yourself too. This is the overall conclusion that we reached in Parkview: it's luxurious, but not pretentious at all. And it's eclectic, functional and creative - if you like art I would say this is a must-go for you.

They offer a lot of activities (need to pay) for kids and there is a kid friendly swimming pool, play area, outside playground which is really good if you have kids under 5. What stands out the most is going to be the sea view and it's pretty dynamic. The negatives are the price and the unit size. Additionally, I get a howling sound from the wind which can't really be fixed when it is really windy.
