Unlike standard hot pot which starts with a pot of broth, here you first received a sizzling, spicy chicken pot. The waitress asked us to wait a few minutes before lifting the lid, so the chicken gets to caramelized and the aroma to intensify. After you finish the chicken, they pour some broth into the almost empty pot to deglaze it, and viola, a flavorful broth is ready for you to begin your hot pot experience. This place offers a lot of varieties of ingredients for dipping into the pot, as well as a variety of drinks. Even though the place is really busy, the staff is pretty nice. Honestly, this should be the only way we should hot pot from now on. But then again, Hong Kong is already on top of it. I'm American. It hasn't reached our shores yet, but it damn well should. On a Monday night (8PM), the wait was an hour long for our party of five. We ordered more food than we can handle, including a whole chicken, and paid HKD $200 (USD $27) each. Notably delicious foods included the chicken (duh), yin yang cuttlefish paste (very bouncy texture), and herng lings (deep fried soybean paper rolls that you dip into the soup for a second). This location is a little weird in a small street, but if you have Google Maps, you should have no problem finding it. Also, this is a chain so you can find one closer to you. P.S. Dishes are half off after 10PM. Ask your server for clarification.

The atmosphere is definitely old school with tons of pictures of celebrities up on the walls coming up the stairs to the restaurant. Get there before the dinner rush or you will be waiting a while to get a table! There are English menus if you ask your server. Their broth is really good - I'm told it's boiled up to about 5hrs every day! The service is okay. They get really busy so you might have to track them down to get served. Their signature dishes are: - diced beef - osmanthus mussels (soooo good!) - goose sausage (but we didn't try this) Every table I saw had chicken testicles, so we went along and ordered a plate. It was different; chewy. I'm glad I tried it, but I don't think I'll order it again. There are two or three private rooms located toward the back of the restaurant. There is a 10% service charge, so no need to tip!

We also got the all-you-can-drink tea option with their delicious lemon tea. The waitress was extremely attentive and even gave us a free fried man tou dessert that came with condensed milk for dipping. The mantous had a crispy exterior and soft, warm interior. I couldn't help but indulge. Because we opted for the better quality meats, our total was about $100 USD. A more expensive meal but extremely satisfying and it was money wellspent.

OMG, they had this one drink called Milkis. It was a milk soda and I drank around five cans. I've never tasted soda so good in my life. I wish they had it here. I mixed the two and it was kind of gross.
