The EcoPark is a established (since 1994) leisure and recreational destination with Hong Kong's communities and families. The EcoPark is a key educational partner with Hong Kong schools with the goals of promotion of environmental awareness and to enhance the general physical and mental well being of every visitor. Facilities include a lotus fish pond, petting zoo, bullock cart ride, BBQ'ing, canteen, adventure play area, creative workshops and strawberry picking and horse riding.

The view is nice and the air is clean here. The grounds are very well kept. There are different play areas for kids with swings, slides, bars, etc. There are also areas where adults can do some strength-building and stretches. It's definitely a great place to relax and take your evening stroll!

I think a lot of people in Hong Kong don't realize how lucky they are when they live right next to…read morethe water. Many overseas spend their lives without having a glimpse at the ocean yet many of us walk by as if its nothing day in day out. This is particularly he case for the Tsing Yi Promenade. This walkway is suited next to Rambler's Channel and pretty much runs the entire length of the eastern and northern coast of Tsing Yi Island- it links a number of housing estates together and more importantly a lot of nearby residents use it to get to Maritime Square and the Tsing Yi MTr station. A lot of money has been spent to upgrade it from a utilitarian walkway to a path that is clearly intended for exercise and recreation, you have playgrounds for kids, exercise units for the elderly and many runners/ joggers make use of its uninterrupted path. The path gives you a great view of the Tsuen Wan and from a distance, the container terminal and on good days even HK Island. Its not exactly the Cote d'azure when you have police launches, barges and all sorts of ships running up and down the channel but nonetheless makes for an interesting site to have a look-see. Anglers also have a good time fishing off the side of the promenade; not sure what you will catch there but nothing in the world will make me eat what's brought up there. In all, its a nice place to have a stroll if you live nearby, if you have time after dinner or if you are looking just coming for a jog.

However, in recent times, more and more skaters come here because of just that - the great and green location and the sparseness of skaters. The Tsing Yi Northeast Park is a sports microcosm; it's for cyclists, soccer and basketball players, joggers and runners, the elderly and just general people taking a stroll at a park. Why come all the way here to experience that? Well, if you've been stuck at your nearby park and want a change of pace, this park simply provides that and more. Since the park is open for 16 hours daily, there is no reason not to explore this park and simply admire the view at the seaside promenade and maybe shoot a few hoops along the way. I was only here for the skatepark but discovered so much more. Seeing the cycling track actually made me want to buy my own bike once again and just be free and ride around the park; the location is just perfect for a simple outdoor excursion. Nighttime brings more people since the air is cooler and a lot of people hang out at the landscaped area. Overall, I'd like to visit this park more often since I'm not a regular visitor to Tsing Yi, partly because I don't have a good reason to visit it anyway. However, with the discovery of this park, I just might pop there weekly and just enjoy the scenery and serenity of the environs.
