Kwok Shui Park is one of those neighborhood skateparks; the ones that aren't connected to a larger park and is a stand-alone playground. As such, it is a bare bones park - no toilets, no water fountains, no conveniences that I know of. For some, these are best type of parks while for others, they may want the convenience of skatepark connected to a larger park.
As a skatepark, it has all the basic obstacles: rails, stairs, fun boxes and a general street plaza. Ollie and flip tricks can be practiced, as well as the occasional slide and grind tricks. Trees surround the park and there is a shed area if it should rain or if its too sunny.
I find this park great fun, especially for those who live around the area. I've only ever been to it once but I enjoyed the simplicity of the park, so much so that we stayed for over 4 hours. It is easily accessible, and although it is situated roadside, it doesn't get too dusty. Apart from skateboarding, the park can also be used for inline skating aka rollerblading.
The easiest way to get to the skatepark is via MTR, drop off at Tai Wo Hau station. There aren't a lot of skaters around these parts, so if you find yourself always skating at Mei Foo or the other bigger parks, come try out the skatepark here to practice your tricks. Make sure that you bring your own water when you come to this park as there are no refreshment kiosks nearby. read more
