full disclaimer: i'm the helicopter parent who won't just let my kid run wild, esp in public places. he was closely supervised the entire duration of our visit.
i get it it's a small business, i wasn't expecting five star services. but if my friend hadn't been there before and already knew how it works, we would have sat there a long time wondering how to proceed.
it wasn't busy that day and time, despite it being a sunny Sunday afternoon in the midst of summer. maybe it's busier at night? not complaining, really, i like it just like that.
understandably, the place smells of animals. don't get me wrong, the place is clean and there's no sign of animal waste, but the ventilation could have improved. the seat fabric...felt a borderline dampness on it. not a great sensation.
glad that they didn't charge a base fee, but the markup on food and drinks made up for it. $4x for a coffee isn't terrible, and the coffee was actually quite yummy. but the "homemade cookies"...they're cute but that's about it - so bland even my kid wouldn't finish. should have ordered another latte instead. no much real food offered, mostly snack items. so if you're really down to eat, even if for a sandwich, you might be better off going elsewhere.
it wasn't busy that day so probably why no time limitation imposed on us, which was great. the place was super quiet and slow pace, which is nice. seatings are mostly by window, so there's a certain lazy Sunday vibe to it.
for those who prefer a bit more action, check out their souvenir counter. seems there's support going on for local artists, and a nod to environmental protection. information about each kitten that lives there is also available. there. did i mention you can per the cats? LOL
