I started using this vet a few years ago but have since switched to another vet.
It's really a very expensive clinic given how shabby it is. I cannot recall walking out with anything less than a $1000 bill. The lobby is very bare and the staff barely visible behind a looming counter. There are often giant bags of dog food lying on the floor.
I have had really positive experiences with the redheaded female veterinarian who really focuses on soothing your animal, but that is about it. Every other vet I have seen has seemed disinterested and quick to order millions of tests and prescribe hundreds of pills when you suspect the issue is quite small. I also find that the vets have no bedside manner. Throughout a series of misdiagnoses which ultimately resulted in my younger dog having to be put down, I never felt like any of the vets cared about the final outcome.
On one occasion I found myself charged for bunch of things that I hadn't been told about.
However, the Royal Canin pet food on sale is really great - the quality is high and my pug loves the sensitive formula which helps keeps her allergies at bay. You can also pick up Front Line and order custom dog beds at the clinic.
Vets aside, the rest of the staff also seem to really love animals and I see them walking their patients around my block and chatting away to them. It's really very sweet. It's a shame that the more senior staff members aren't as kind.
All in all, it's great for your pet pantry staples, but you can more compassionate vets elsewhere. read more
